I really wanted to love this book, but I find the switching between past and present tense nonsensical and offputting, and therefore couldnt get into it, but thats just a me thing.

I didn't realize this was book 9 in a series but I'm thankful it was pretty easy to catch on quickly and learn the characters and dynamics. I thought the psychic fair was fun and I thought our main character was a pretty good sleuth. It took me a minute to figure out the case and the clues were fun to put together.

Vicki Delany's latest novel, "The Sign of Four Spirits", is quite the cozy mystery! Book 9 in her Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mystery series, it was a great addition!

Vicki Delany has done if again with Book 9 of her "Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mystery" series, "The Sign of Four Spirits." This has become one of my favorite cozy mystery series to read. I am very happy that I was able to get an ARC via netgalley since it doesn't officially release until January 8, 2024.
In true Gemma Doyle style she investigates the murder of a psychic medium and subsequent effects it has on her friends. If you're familiar with the Sherlock Holmes book "The Sign of Four" there are a few little tie ins between this book and that but nothing making it a direct re-write. Which I'm totally fine with and find very fun to spot the "cameos" in books.

#TheSignofFourSpirits #NetGalley by Vicki Delany is a must read!
The cover of the book is eye catching, but the story inside will keep you guessing until the end.
A psychic fair is taking place in West London, MA, and Gemma wants no part of it.
She soon finds herself talked into attending a seance, and I'm sure she had no idea she'd be evicted from the gathering, or that she'd be involved in another murder investigation.
This is my favorite of the series so far, and I'm happy to recommend it to others.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of the book.
