I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Well-written, excellent recipes, and vibrant pictures make this a great cookbook by Marcela.

Thank you for giving me this arc!!

I love the layout of the book and the pictures! I followed the recipe for the Sopa de albondigas, it was easy to follow and gave a good description. I definitely will be using the recipes more than once!

No pasa nada!

This cookbook came out of the zoom teaching Marcela did with her sister Carina during the pandemic. Marcela and her sister's familia became their cooking students with the phrase no pasa nada! as their mantra. Truly authentic recipes with unusual flavors and textures that needs to be introduced to the wider American diet. Flavorful and inventive without being fussy. Anyone can create these dishes.
Recommend.

These are awesome recipes. They are clear and encouraging. And I loved the explanations. There were a lot of photos too which was super helpful.

Beautiful cookbook created by chef Valladolid, with 125 Mexican recipes to try at home. The recipes are a mix of the ones we’ve seen at Mex-American restaurants and some that I’ve never seen but would love to try. The recipes look a little fancier than the ones we see at restaurants but they all look delicious and great to try at home. The photos are great and mouthwatering. There are recipes for appetizers, salads, traditional flavors, dinners, soups, salads, salsas and drinks. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

Authentic Mexican recipes that that reminded me of grandma. The recipes are a bit of work, which is to be expected. A nice treat were that some recipes incorporated plant based ingredients.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

This is a wonderful cookbook of authentic Mexican recipes that seem delicious. There are photos for most of the recipes and the author is friendly and likable. There are a lot of pictures of her smiling and looking off into the distance in her kitchen but she’s pretty so I guess I get it. The recipes are a bit of work, which is to be expected. There are also some recipes incorporating plant based ingredients.

Minus one star for no nutritional information. I personally don’t buy any cookbooks that don’t contain this information. But otherwise it’s a wonderful book.

I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.
