Lucy Score writes amazing stories with characters that are so well-developed and easy to love. I recommend Lucy to anyone who will listen to me. This latest book in the series was delightful!

I loved Sloane’s character and as a librarian myself, I could relate! Lucian was a great book boyfriend and I loved this book. Lucy Score knows how to write emotional romance, and I am here for it!

There is so much depth to this novel it is insane. This is told from a dual POV between Lucian and Sloane with flashbacks from both of their perspectives. We are able to go back in time and see what tore them apart back in high school and why they are the way they are now. I absolutely loved how this novel was set up to really pull at your heart strings. I understood both perspectives and felt like it was such an impossible place for two teenangers to be.

The present was also well done and full of action. The sexual tension was radiating off the page.

We have fallen in love with all of the characters throughout the series so being able to have them be such a big part of this novel was the best. I loved being able to see how they were doing and how they were intertwined with each other. They are the definition of friends becoming family.

When we got to the end, as the reader we knew there was still a loose end. This book had so much action packed into but it never felt like too much. I was never bored and always excited to go to the next page to see what happened next.

The ending of this series was perfect. The epilogue about where Lucian and Sloane ended up was great, but it was the bonus epilogue a few decades down the road that had me in tears. Reading this series felt like I was part of the Knockemout community. I am so sad that it has come to an end but so excited to see what happens next.

THIS WASS AWESOMMMEEEEEE!!!! One of my all time favorite tropes is enemies with benefits and it is so hard to execute. This one exceeded expectations and more! I never get bored with Lucy's books and often forget they are pushing 600 pages. Best of the three in my opinion.

Boy did I need this book! I was not ready for this series to end, however, I am grateful for this book! I loved every second of it, even the parts that made me cry!

This was hands down my favorite book of the series. The character build up to this book was top notch. I’m sad it’s over.

This was the perfect ending to the Knockemout series! I had been waiting for this book and I loved Sloane and Lucian's story. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the two other books again and seeing more of their everyday life. Lucy is one of my favorite authors and this did not disappoint. Sad that it's over, but happy that now I have all three stories.

I’m a huge fan of Lucy’s book and this story completes the Knockemout trilogy fantastically. The reader is brought along on a story of love, worth and family. It gives all the feelings you’d expect from a Lucy Score story

Lucy Score has a way of transferring you to small town Knockemout that makes it feel enchanted.
Lucian and Sloane's story is the cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae. They make you and the sundae feel complete. Their story is deep with emotion with a past that these two protagonists must face together in order to have a future. The build up for these two characters has been worth the wait. It's fireworks when these two are fighting and a lightning strike when they finally come together. Lucy's overall message for the whole Knockout series of anything you might be facing or going through it's the people we love and love that can get us through even in our darkest of moments. "Things We left Behind" was the perfect ending to this series. Knockemout and it's characters will be missed but knowing they these characters have grown and are happy makes the journey feel complete. Nothing but applause for these books and to Lucy Score.

Once again Lucy has managed to hook me in from the start. Lucian and Sloan have so much pent up emotions both the good ones and the bad ones you don’t know which ones you want to deal with first. The tightly knit group of friends that are more like family make many appearances in this book and I loved it.

SPOILER *** at one point the only interaction between Lucian and Sloan was sex and it got to be too much. I wanted the banter more… hard to believe***. ***I will miss the gang from Knockemount***

I’m giving it a 5 star review bit I think it should be a 4.5 stars

I was excited to catch up with the citizens of Knockemout. The third book follows Sloane and Lucian trials and tribulations. The book had plenty of twists and turns. I thought the book is a nice way to end the series. All the characters had a great time in the spotlight. I enjoyed finishing these books. The arc had some spelling and grammar issues which hopefully is caught before this goes to press. The writing style is similar to the other two books in the series. The dual point of view that she is famous for within this series, is a nice change of pace.

This set up felt like a sequel where the author wanted to bring back their old characters. I made it through two chapters and just wasn't feeling interested. I think, for those who read books 1 and 2, they will feel invested and will feel excited about revisiting their old friends before whatever new journey happens.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC.

yall... i have been fiending for sloane and lucians book since the things we never got over crumbs we received, so i loved reading this book. billionaire, second chance, pining, who hurt you, forced proximity- it has it all. and the BONUS EPILOGUE??? no spoilers but there was not a dry eye in the crowd and we were R O B B E D of a certain love story. anyways- this was a great book overall and i would recommend this series

Lucy Score does it again!!! Her first two books in this series were books that I couldn't put down until I finished them. This book is just as impressive as those two. I know this will be popular in my library!

I received a free copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books; all opinions are my own!

Once again, I find myself picking up a book in a series out of order, but this time, it actually didn't matter. Sure, there's some context I'm missing in terms of how I feel about characters and their relationships, but in this case that felt wholly secondary to the plot and not required for my enjoyment of the book. In fact, I was easily able to enjoy the relationship between Sloane and Lucian, the grumpy/sunshine | childhood friends |second chance lovers tropes and how they played out between these characters (was even happier that the main character was a librarian in a progressive library as a personal side note). Easy recommendation, and I'm fairly certain I'll be recommending the series to patrons who love a good, reasonably spicy romance!

TL;DR: Enjoyed without having read the preceding books, solid romance title.

this book was absolutely amazing!! from the moment i met lucian & sloane in TWNGO, i knew they would break my heart and put it all back together again. lucian is just *chef’s kiss*!! we finally learn what transpired between him & sloane when they were younger, and it is absolutely heart shattering. and THE SMUT?!? mrs. lucy score absolutely brought on the spice with this last novel in the trilogy.

i will say, there were parts of the plot that were a little murky, and this was definitely quite a slow burn, but i didn’t mind it too too much. although this is a romance novel, the plot point of lucian’s firm and what he does was so so interesting and i wish it would’ve been touched upon more or explained in further detail. there were moments where i felt the story was moving a tad too slow, but there were certain unexpected plot twists meddled in there that kept things rather intersting.

the chemistry between these two? palpable! when lucian first strikes that agreement between them at the hotel?? nearly passed out from the hotness.

the real star of the novel? meow meow— if silently passing judgement was a person, it’d be meow meow with the glares she gave lucy. lucy definitely loved her, he was just playing hard to get.

overal, a great story, my favorite one in the knockemout series by far! 4/5⭐️

Love, love, love!! This series is fantastic if you are a fan of small town romances with a bit of mystery and excitement. Lucian and Sloane's story was highly anticipated for me since book one, and Lucy Score did not disappoint. This is the third book in the series and I'd highly recommend reading the first two first. They are choncky at over 550 pages each, but they don't feel long. I hate to say goodbye to these characters and this town, but I will be re=reading I am sure.

This book was perfect!!! I absolutely loved being back in the Knockemout world. And Sloane is my favorite. This is a the perfect conclusion to this series! It was different from the first two in the best way.

I binged this book in 2 days, and that’s so rare for me! I loved the dual timelines and POVs. There was so much depth to the characters that their story just sucked me in.

And the ending ripped my heart out in the best way. this one is by far my favorite of the series. More than books 1/2 combined even!

This is my favorite book of 2023 so far!!!

I love anything by Lucy Score and this book was fantastic. It's the third in the series and should be read in order. We finally get the story of Lucien and Sloane, and all their bickering, angst, and turmoil was reveal. Such a great storyline.
