I've been looking forward to a new book by Anne Frasier and THE NIGHT I DIED did not disappoint in the least.

Her books are always different, she doesn't seem to let a series go beyond a trilogy and take place in a different part of the country.

The one thing they do have in common is strong female protagonists. TNID starts out in Venice, California and takes our heroine to the middle of nowhere Kansas where she, a private investigator, finds herself teamed up with a somewhat seamy reporter.

Twists and turns are the rule. The end was fantastic. Once again, I'm looking forward to Anne Frasier's next book! In the meantime, do yourself a favor and add THE NIGHT I DIED to your list of must buys.

I really enjoyed this and it got me out of my week long book slump. The beginning was a bit slow, but then came all the twists and turns. Perfect for the fall!

What a trip, wow! I love good twists in books, and this one did not disappoint. The end shocked me, which is excellent because it wasn't what I was expecting. This is a new to me author, first time reading any of her books, but not the last for sure. Her writing style and character development were fantastic.

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was amazing! The big plot twist at the end caught me by surprise. Had to reread to catch all the clues I missed. Glad this was fully focused on the mystery and didn’t force the female lead into a romantic relationship to further the plot.

Thanks to NetGalley I was able to enjoy this book before it’s published.

An amazing book that takes you an a wild ride. I couldn't put this down, the premise is amazing and really unique and I hope this isn't the end for Olivia Welles. I was completely gripped by this and blown away by the ending. I highly recommend to any mystery thriller lovers.

It has been a few years since I read anything by Anne Frasier, and now I'm wondering why it has been so long. This was a crazy ride filled with shocking twists! I loved the character relationship between Olivia and Will and would be thrilled to have more stories featuring them. Fingers crossed that the author makes this into a series. I can't agree with other reviews that this book was completely suspenseful. I felt like it lacked in intensity until about the halfway point. Olivia being in her head so much took that feeling away from me. Don't get me wrong, this book was fantastic! I just think that something is missing in the first half that would help create more suspense. Maybe it's just me or due to the fact that I was reading an unedited version. I would still recommend this to all the mystery lovers out there. It was a really good book!

Thank you to the author, Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for allowing me advanced digital access in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the eARC.
What a terrific read this is; I finished it in 2 days.
It would be great to meet the main character, Private Detective Olivia Welles, again. Hope it's the start of a new series!
I didn't know anything about Kansas, but after the excellent description of the land and the weather
I'm not sure I would visit...
This book grabs you and doesn't let go; the characterizations, the tension, the mental stress of Olivia's life before and now are heartbreaking and her courage and kindness terrific. A shocking but eventual happy ending make this a book not to be missed!
