I got this on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

I love anything Ozzy so this was a fun read! I liked the pictures and the information in this, and I thought the book's organization was pretty nice! I didn't realize until after I got approved tho, that this was an unofficial guide, so I would have probably enjoyed it even more if it had included more new information and insight from Ozzy himself. As an unofficial guide tho: pretty good!

This is a fun book that had a lot of information about the life of one of my all time favorite celebrities, Ozzy Osbourne. He has gone through drug addiction, being kicked out of a famous band and restarted his life several times. Whether its on his own as Ozzy Osbourne or making television with his family, he is always interesting. I definitely will recommend this book and thank you for letting me read it!

Although,I am not a fan of The Prince of Darkness, he is Avery interesting character. The front man of Black Sabbath and the crazy father on The Osbornes’ . I found this a good book basically a “Reader’s Digest “ version of Ozzy,s music and life . There is no new information in this book for longtime fans , but new fans or like me only knowing bits and pieces of this man may find interesting.

I think this would make a great gift for any Ozzy fan .

I just reviewed Ozzy at 75 by Daniel Bukszpan. #Ozzyat75 #NetGalley

I’ve always found Ozzy interesting. I loved getting to know more about him and about his past. I loved the author’s bluntness when it came to if an album was good or not. Thanks NetGallery!

It's worth noting that there is no new content in this book, which appears to have been written without any participation from anyone in the Osbourne family. Instead, it's a collection of quotes from Ozzy and everyone in his orbit, pulled from interviews, documentaries, live shows, etc.
Bukszpan's tone is kinda odd throughout - swerving from extreme reverence to flippant jokey comments so quickly it'll give you whiplash, Also, bluntly saying Taylor Hawkins died of a drug overdose, feels jarring when you know the circumstances of his death and subsequent post mortem findings.
I have to say I struggled to understand who the audience for this book is - the content is way too basic for an Ozzy fan, but the text is way too knowingly smug for the uninitiated. The last few pages felt like a waste of time, dedicating way too much space to the fact Ozzy and Sharon got Covid, going into minute detail about a very small event in the vast universe of Ozzy.
While it's' an okay beginners' guide to Ozzy, serious fans should probably look elsewhere to spend their money.

While there was not a lot of new information about Ozzy in this retrospective, it was a fun overview of his amazing career with a lot of great photos.
The book touches on his albums with Black Sabbath and solo recordings, all interspersed with anecdotes culled from interviews and previous publications.
Very enjoyable for a quick over view of one of the great of metal/rock history!
