Loved to read and learn more about Amy and her journey! I don't like to rate memoirs because they are so personal, but i'm very glad i picked this one up.

Like so many others, I also tune into @jeopardy in the evenings throughout the week! But it is usually only to get a few right 🙃 so when I saw the chance to read Amy’s book, I knew I had to! I switched back & forth between the ebook & audio, & cannot recommend the audio enough! Hearing her tell her own story is so powerful!!

And this story is just as entertaining as it is 100% raw 👏🏻 beautifully written! It read like a conversation, & it really made you feel like you got to know Amy through the pages. There was heartbreak, smiles, jokes, & the gut wrenching truth poured into this, & Amy laid it all out there!!

Throughout the book we learn about her childhood, her trans journey, her love life, the ups & downs of everything, & the incredible journey of self discovery ❤️ I remember watching her run on the show & cheering for her every episode 👏🏻 well done, & well deserved!

Thank you @netgalley for the early copy! IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION is out now!!

I typically rate memoirs as 5 stars as I never want to take away from the writer's own experiences. However, I feel like the blurb of the book was misleading as it didn't cover nearly as much about Jeopardy as I was hoping...or perhaps led to believe? The writing seemed a bit chaotic at times, and probably would have benefitted from further editing, but I do believe that was the authentic Amy coming through. Overall, an interesting story that I'm glad I read.

Just to note, I did start off reading this one but switched to audio once it became available. The audio was much better, imo, as the author read it in her voice, which seemed much more personal. So if you pick this one up, go for the audiobook!

Many thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Not what I expected from Amy - I wish there was more jeopardy content (as a superfan) but I appreciate the open, wildly honest and thoughtful look into her life. Amy is a super cool person, flat out!

Amy is one of my favourite Jeopardy! players, so I was very interested in reading her memoir. We follow not only Amy's time on Jeopardy! but also her childhood and events leading up to her run on the show. I enjoyed learning more about Amy's interests and getting to know her as a person in addition to being a great contestant. The writing style felt conversational and as though Amy was directly speaking to the reader instead of being a more formal memoir. This made it a quick read that I could easily pick up at any time. However, I found that the large amount of footnotes sometimes took away from my reading experience because I was constantly checking them. In terms of the content, I loved Amy's overall message of being true to who you are and allowing yourself to make mistakes along the way. All in all, it was a great read!
