Any book that includes a dog is a winner, and one with it in the title is bound to be the best. The story was sweet and heartfelt. The characters were lovable. I definitely recommend this for a quick romance read.

I picked this up kind of on a whim, because the book features a puppy. I hadn't realized this was part of a series, which I regret, because I usually prefer to work through series in release order. I guess based on this I didn't have the highest expectations, but I ended up enjoying this so much! I really liked the writing, the setting, and the characters. I might have to read the rest of the Pine Hollow series now, starting with the Christmas one, as I love Christmas romances!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC! This book really surprised me. I was expecting a cute, fluffy romance story (which I definitely got) but I also got so much more. These characters had SERIOUS depth. I laughed, I cried, I felt all the feels. An amazing story that I highly recommend!!

I expected based on the title this book would be a total rom-com, and there were funny moments, but the story was much more introspective than expected. It was a story about people who were at a crossroads in their lives and finding what they want for themselves, not only with each other but for themself. I really enjoyed the slow burn, which is not something I normally do enjoy, but in this case it was handled with great grace, building a strong foundation with love, care, and empathy. This was a new author for me, but I will definitely look for more as I enjoyed this well crafted story.

This was a quick and cute read, no doubt about it! I absolutely loved the whole ski resort backdrop and how Kendall revamped the main lodge into a wedding venue. But seriously, her dad was driving me crazy with how he kept shutting down her other expansion ideas – so frustrating! Then, enter Olympic star Brody returning to town, and suddenly, her dad is all gung-ho about those updates to make the resort wedding-friendly. Ugh!
Now, Kendall and Brody's transition from friends to lovers? It left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, to be honest. I was really hoping for more tension, a stronger connection, and some extra sizzle between these two. On a positive note, kudos for Banner making those adorable appearances throughout the story – that truly added a heartwarming touch!

you had me puppy and throw in a wedding and I was there for this. Great read and couldn't put it down. Must read in my book and will read more from Lizzie.

"Four Weddings and a Puppy" by Lizzie Shane is an enchanting addition to the series. This contemporary romance follows Kendall, a wedding planner, and Brody, an Olympic skier, as they navigate life's unexpected twists. Shane's well-drawn characters, witty writing, and themes of second chances make this a captivating read. The mischievous puppy adds a charming touch to this heartwarming story, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.

This is old friends reuniting and forming an alliance to help each other. She feels she owes her father for all he did for her and resents his behavior towards her. he's feeling adrift in his career and needs to feel needed. It's a cute small town romance.
**************************I received an ARC for my honest opinion from NetGalley.******************************

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing). I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I'll admit the cover is what pulled me in - if there's a golden retriever involved, I'll read it. And Banner the dog did not disappoint :) Clearly the author has had a golden in her life. Having no idea this was part of a series, this one can absolutely be read as a standalone. Now I want to read the others. I really enjoyed this - it was quick and fun without a ton of drama. Loved both Kendall and Brody and how their relationship evolved. Kendall's friends were great too, and the night of the bachelorette party was so funny. Charlotte at the mailboxes at the end of the night? Hilarious. And I need to find out about Magda and Mac - sounds like their story is next. My first time reading this author, won't be the last. Highly recommend.

3 Stars Four Weddings and a Puppy is part of the Pine Hallow series, but can easily be read as a standalone. For a book with a cute cartoon cover, this novel had a surprising amount of depth and angst, though not too much. It struck a perfect balance between the angst over failed dreams and the romance between the two former childhood friends. An easy, enjoyable read!

I have read some but not all of the Pine Hollow series and this book can certainly be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed this book, it was a classic romance book, just the right amount of angst and drama and lots of fun bits. I liked the background of two (former) professional skiers who were friends as kids, it gave the book a good amount of heart.

This was such a great book i adored reading it and can’t wait to read more by this author!!! i enjoyed every single page of this story!

This book is as sweet as the cover looks. It’s a fast and heartfelt read with a surprisingly good amount of angst and romance. And it even has an adorable dog! I enjoyed the childhood friends who reconnected later in life. Having a character that has a built in familiarity really added to the angst of the romance between Kendall and Brody and made their story so much sweeter.
I loved how there was depth to this story that goes past the cute cover, but it doesn’t get too deep where it overtakes the whole story. Overall this is a heartwarming read with relatable characters and of course a loveable puppy! Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Pub for the ARC

I love pine hollow. I love this series. I live Lizzie Shane! This bookmis like the perfect hallmark movie, but with a plot. There's romance, laughter, and the occasional cheesiness, but in the best way. Plus, it's coupled with heartache, real feelings, real emotions, and situations that I can completely imagine happening. It's clean and appropriate and I don't have to skip 2 chapters because of a raunchy scene. The writing is just like a script, every scene plays out flawlessly in my mind. The characters are relatable and genuine, and they've all become my friends. My only criticism is i have to wait for more!! READ THIS BOOK!!!

Cute and fast read. I loved the setting of the ski resort and how Kendall turned the main lodge into a wedding venue. Her father made me so frustrated when he would block out her other ideas for expanding the venue further! When Olympic star Brody comes back to town, Kendall's dad is suddenly on board with making more updates to the resort to make it wedding-friendly. Kendall and Brody's friends to lovers relationship was a little "meh" for me. I wanted more tension/connection/steam between the two of them. Bonus points for the adorable Banner wiggling into the story multiple times.
Thank you to the author, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

• Sports romance (skiing)
• Childhood best friends, but now he's her ↙️
• Brother's best friend
• Forced proximity
• Slow burn
• Interconnected standalone (5th in series)
CW: reference to suice that happened prior to the events in the story.
I'm a big sports romance girl. But this one was so much *more* in that we get a glimpse into what the mental health of some elite athletes might be like.
Kendall was not only a (former) Olympic hopeful, but she was the predicted gold medalist until she lost it all after a horrific accident. She's been working at her family's ski resort ever since, but feels it might finally be time for a change, a new purpose.
Brody was a two-time Olympian, with four medals under his belt. But with the death of his biggest competitor, he felt like he'd lost sight of *why* he was even competing in the first place, and walked away from it all.
These two lost friends find each other at the right time and help each other navigate this crossroad they find themselves at. Helping each other find their love for skiing again, and just maybe each other, too.
Furthermore, it also had that small town feel we all love, a supportive friend group, renovation projects, weddings, and a puppy! There was a lot of fun, but balanced with deeper conversations, too.
This book is actually part of a series, but I don't think it's strictly necessary to read them all in order. This was my first book by Shane but definitely not my last!
Thank you, Forever, for this ARC.

This is a sweet, tender story that deals with love, loss, heartbreak, mental illness, and grief. I thought a sweet, former childhood crush to lover story with a featured pup wouldn't be so deep, but this story was. There were delicate, vulnerable moments that discuss important topics such as mental health importance and sport injuries that I'm glad weren't glossed over. Brody and Kendall have a sweet relationship that develops in a fun, sweet, loving way. I loved seeing Kendall grow in this story, finding her happy ending. I also, of course, loved all the puppy loving in this book! Its the best part of any story really :)
Thank you for the ARC!!!

this is a light and sweet read. it kept me interested and I really loved the story line. I didn't want it to end and I highly recommend.

This was so cute! I really enjoyed this and it was so different with the Olympic athletes spin on the romance. I really enjoyed this and zipped through it quickly.
I just reviewed Four Weddings and a Puppy by Lizzie Shane. #NetGalley

This was an adorable read. I’m a sucker for a puppy and the premise of this was really cute.
This felt like a hallmark movie in novel form with the backdrop of the struggling inn and all the weddings. It really drew me into the story. The supporting cast of characters we’re delightful and I’m going to read more of their stories
