Warrior's Hope was a great addition to the Dark Protectors series! I adored revisiting all of the beloved characters! To be honest, I've been reading this series out of order, but it hasn't stopped my enjoyment of every book (though I do plan to do a reread from the beginning at some point!).
I adore Rebecca Zanetti and every book she writes. This series is full of action, a great cast of characters, and a really creative take on different paranormal species, and I've enjoyed every book so far.
Warrior's Hope centers around Hope, Paxton, and Drake--three characters who have featured in previous books in the lead up to Hope's destiny. I really wasn't sure how Hope's story was going to wrap up, but I always trust in Zanetti's creative direction and she absolutely delivered!
Overall, this was such a great story and I loved every minute. If you enjoy paranormal romance, I highly recommend the Dark Protectors series. It contains multi-book story arcs but each book can also be read as a standalone.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC.

And finally, Hope meets her destiny, and it is full of family drama, action, and suspense. The story is full of surprises and it will blow your mind. Another fantastic read from the series! Loved it.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

This book was absolutely amazing. I have loved every one of the Dark Protector series books and this one did not disappoint. Hope is a great strong independent female lead. I loved how many of the characters from the past books showed up in thos one it made the story flow so well. The Hope, Pax , Drake triangle was exciting and for a minute I was not sure who she would chose. The ending of the book was amazing.

This story is fast-paced, action packed and phenomenal. This story pulls you in from start to finish with an ending that will shock you. There are many twists and turns throughout the story. I did find the ending to be a little bit rushed, but the conclusion to this series is definitely satisfying.

From the blurb:
As the only female vampire ever born, and the heir to two powerful immortal families, Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has always felt the weight of fate and destiny. Now her heart is torn between two men and two different futures. It’s a choice between duty and love, peace and war, with the fate of everyone she loves hanging in the balance.
As the leader of the Kurjan nation, Drake has always known that mating Hope is the best path to avoiding war. He’s counting on her to know the same. . . . Paxton has been Hope’s best friend and protector since they were children. He would kill and die for her without a second thought. In fact, he’s always known that would be his path . . .
With deadly factions at her heels, Hope must decide whom to trust and where her loyalty lies—before the choice is taken away from her . . .
When I requested an ARC copy of this book, I didn't realize it was book 16, the final book in a continuing series. I had a lot of catching up to do and spent the past week immersed in the world of vampires, demons, witches, and fae as I binge read almost the entire series! With glimpses of Hope, Paxton, and Drake throughout the series as they grew up, this is the final conclusion to overthrow the evil Kurjan. We finally have an answer to the purpose of all the different characters and how they all come together for the final battle. I was happy with how the series ended, but also sad for the story to be over.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Warrior's Hope follows Hope and her team, with the addition of Pax, who might now be a traitor.
There is a lot of action, mystery, attraction, friendship, treason, romance... yeah, Warrior's Hope is fast-paced and filled with a lot, and especially one story-arch from a long time ago finally coming to a conclusion.

4.5 stars
This series always gets a lot of reactions from me. I’m often laughing loudly, gasping in horror, or cheering the characters on. I think I’ve mentioned before that my husband always knows when I’m reading a Dark Protectors book. But I didn’t have much hope that this story would bring any laughs. I knew, much like Hope’s mom Janie’s book Marked, this story is a culmination of a lot that has been building up through many years. It is do-or-die time in this book so I wasn’t looking for a lot of laughs. Yet, somehow, the author still got a few in there and was able to break the tension once in a while.
Overall, I loved this book. The first chapter was a bit shaky for me, I couldn’t decide if the author was trying to give us a recap or if the woman Hope was talking to was probing her for information. It just seemed out of place for this series and, since it was the first chapter, had me worried the author was veering to a whole different writing style for this book. That didn’t happen and, very quickly, the narrative settled into what I’ve come to expect in this world.
Having read all of these books, including the novellas and off-shoot series, it was wonderful to see another generation of Kayrs and Kyllwoods, along with their friends, taking some control. These young adults are highly trained and I loved that the elders trusted in the abilities of their offspring instead of second-guessing them, while the younger set took responsibility when they made mistakes instead of getting defensive.
Hope has often made me want to pull my hair out in past books, that was no different here. She is so trusting and hopeful and that causes her to have blinders when it comes to certain things. We often have to put blind faith in people to get anything done, and some characters are worth giving more than one chance, but she put too much stock in how she interpreted what fate held for her instead of trusting her head and heart to their fullest.
I’m going to get a bit spoiler-ish in the next paragraph, so skip it if you don’t want to know…
Paxton broke my heart over and over. When all of his secrets are finally aired (don’t worry, it’s within the first third of the story) it is hard to imagine the loneliness he had to live with. Later, when he explores where he really came from, he has to deal with a lot of internal bias. Hope never wavers in these times. They are meant to be and, although she may make a dumb decision to broker peace, her heart belongs to Paxton. It doesn’t matter what he had to do in the past or what his genes say about him, she knows he’s a good person. So does the rest of her family. It’s harder to get Paxton to understand that. Hope’s blinders when it comes to Drake are forgiven by me when it comes to her loyalty to Paxton when it is needed most.
End of spoilers!
I cannot wait to see what is in store for the rest of Hope’s cousins and friends, as well as some enhanced females we got to know a little bit in this story. This is one of those series that I don’t want to ever end.

I have been looking forward to this book for quite some time and to finally get Hope’s story made me excited to jump into the book… who is she going to choose?!?
With that being said... there was a plot point in this book that turned me off, but saying what it was would be a spoiler and I’m not here to ruin the story for anyone. It was an unneeded plot point for me and I instantly liked the book less.
I still would recommend this book to those who enjoy the series and the entire Dark Protectors for PNR lovers, but it’s not my favorite book in the series.
However, seeing everything play out and finally getting answers to all the questions I’ve had since the Ulric storyline was introduced was a nice way to end the series.

Loved it! Such a great series and such a great installment of this series. It's been so fun watching these wonderful characters grow up and so exciting to get to find out what happens with them. Lots of action and adventure and love. I can't wait to read more.

Good action and romance! Hope is destined to help take down some big bad, so we get some fun danger! Along for the ride are Drake and Paxton; both connected to Hope, and possible love options for her. Love triangles aren’t really my thing or an arranged marriage scenario; they really just annoy me with the back and forth what will I do junk, but I do enjoy this author’s writing style. There is some totally sweet moments to the romance too! Like the whole overall world setting too; cool ideas there. Overall, an entertaining, exciting read! Fun series!

I’ve been patiently waiting for Hope’s story, and guess what? It did not disappoint. It’s been coming for a while, but Hope finally has to choose between her best friend and the duty she feels for her family and the Realm. As the Lock she has always felt she must sacrifice herself for the greater good. Her best friend Paxton however doesn’t agree. It appears though that both Paxton and Drake have been keeping secrets from her. Lying by omission is still lying. It took me a few pages before I was finally back in the Realm and caught up with all the comings and goings, the more books you’ve read in this series the easier it is to follow. I’ve only read a few in the series and I’ve enjoyed each and every one. Paranormal romance is one of my favourite genres, add in suspense, action and some truly memorable characters, and you’re in for a rollercoaster ride with thrills at every turn. Vampire hybrids, demon hybrids, Kurjans, and Ulrik, who is the ultimate Cyst and possibly indestructible, the evil being that wants to take over the Nations. He has plans for everyone’s demise. Lots of twists and turns as Hope fights to protect those she loves. A heart stopping page turner that I couldn’t get enough of. As I stated earlier this book is part of a series. All books can be read as standalones, but in order to get the best experience, as always it’s good to read previous books. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Another Winner. I love the Dark Protectors universe and this second series has delivered pretty well, its not quite as good as the first round we went with the Realm but its been a very strong second.

Non-Stop Action and Intrigue!!
A world where immortals exist. A world where different factions and beings are at war with each other. Hope is amongst the immortals, but seems to only carry human traits. She is interested in her best friend since childhood, Paxton, but feels that a pairing with Drake, leader of the Kurjan, would bring peace to the world.
Twists and turns, matters of the heart, epic danger and an exciting and intricate story. A terrific read.

This is the 16th book in the Dark Protector series and oh my gosh, I am at a loss for words because this book was so brilliant! First of all, everybody needs to read this series. The characters are so well written, well developed, and generations are interwoven with each other in such a brilliant fashion. This story is about Hope and what she feels she needs to do, and is her destiny, to bring peace with the different nations. I do not want to give away any spoilers because I want everybody that reads this phenomenal book to feel exactly all of the emotions that I have just had the honor of experiencing. There are twists and turns within the story that I sure didn't see coming! I am beyond thrilled with how the entire story wrapped up. I feel that it was exciting and a beautifully written love story amongst all sorts of action for lack of better word. All I can say is that the story is truly a beautiful story and I am very thankful that I have the pleasure of reading it! I not only have the ebook but I purchased the audible book as well and it was just truly phenomenal! I cannot wait to see if there are more stories in the Dark Protector world. Rebecca Zanetti is a truly gifted writer that draws her readers into the story and leaves you feeling so satisfied! This book is a must-have for everyone!

This is probably one of the most anticipated books of the series. We have seen Hope, Drake, and Paxton grow up through the series. We have seen their struggle with the fact that Drake is Kurjan and the future leader. We have watched Hope's struggle with being fated to stop Ulric, a prophet and the only female vampire. Now that these three have grown up it is time to make some decisions but can Hope choose between them? There are still some surprises as this story reaches its conclusion.

4.5stars—WARRIOR’S HOPE is the sixteenth full length instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DARK PROTECTORS erotic, paranormal/fantasy series. This is Paxton Phoenix, Drake, and Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood’s story line. WARRIOR’S HOPE should not be read as a stand alone. I recommend reading the series in order, or at the very least, this particular arc of the series focusing on the group of Seven beginning with book eight VAMPIRE’S FAITH, as there is an on-going premise throughout. Hope, Phoenix and Drake’s story has been building throughout the series
SOME BACKGROUND: A thousand years earlier, a number of immortal warriors went through a ritual that, if they survived, hardened their bodies against attack, a ritual meant to create a group of Seven known as The Shield. The Shield was created to protect the world from an evil race of vampires known as the Kurjans, their sect group known as the Cysts, and ultimately a rogue warrior once considered a friend- Ulric-a male of immense power. To protect the human race, Ulric was captured, and along with two of the Seven, was encapsulated in one of three spheres for all eternity but the spheres are no longer capable of holding the ‘Seven’, and the warriors have returned to Earth. As the warriors search for the ‘Keys’ to perform the ritual, the ‘Lock’ must be protected in order to take down the evil that is hoping to take over the world.
Told from a number of third person perspectives including Hope, Paxton and Drake, following several intersecting paths WARRIOR’S HOPE focuses on the impending war between the Realm of the supernatural and the Kurjan empire. Someone is determined to take control of the Kurjan empire but he must first set Ulric free. Ulric needs to destroy the Seven to gain his independence in an effort to dismantle and obliterate the Realm but Ulric’s only ally has other plans including claiming Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood as his mate. As the Realm prepares for war, Hope must come to terms with her destiny while Paxton discovers his entire life and history has been predicated upon a lie.
As per my last review, Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is torn between friendship and love, duty and family as it pertains to her relationship with Paxton Phoenix, and the Kurjan warrior Drake, both young men who have now come into their prime and burgeoning powers. Drake, Paxton and Hope have been dream-walking together for years but betrayal will come at the cost of their friendships, a friendship predicated upon secrets and lies, and the hunt for power. Drake’s connection to the Kurjan and Cysts may be what takes down the Seven, a connection tightly woven with a young female who is purported to be the ‘hope’ of the immortal world.
Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood is desperate to uncover the truth. The direction she must take in an effort to destroy Ulric means there will be a sacrifice: the blood of the Keys, along with the Lock, are prophesized to work together, to merge their powers, to stop Ulric from taking control but someone else has set eyes on the top, and will use any means necessary including destroying family and friends, and the woman he once claimed to love.
WARRIOR’S HOPE is the final chapter in this particular arc of the series focusing on the Seven, Ulric, and Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood but Warrior’s Hope mainly concentrates on the breakdown of friendships, and the lies that will destroy Hope, Paxton and Drake. The secondary and supporting characters are numerous and familiar including the Seven, the Kings and leaders of the supernatural divisions of the Realm, as well as Hope’s parents, Paxton’s father, and Ulric.
Rebecca Zanetti pulls the reader into an action packed story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, deception and double-cross, trust, acceptance, and love. The premise is intriguing, captivating and enthralling; the romance is fated and passionate; the characters are desperate, powerful, determined and dynamic.

Holy heck! How did I not imagine this ending?
This series introduced Hope, Paxton and Drake when they were children. Through each book, a little more information was given about them and the tension escalated as to what their ultimate roles would be. Especially Hope’s. I admit, I’ve loved this story arc and I’m disappointed that it’s over. It seems too fast. I wanted more of them as children/teenagers/young adults.
Nevertheless, this trio is grown and it’s time that their destinies play out. I never imagined it going in this direction and I was enthralled with each turn of the page. Once the relationships settled themselves down, the question of Ulric, and Hope’s place in it all took center stage. And then BAM! This author took the resolution into a way I never imagined and I absolutely LOVED it!
This is a fast paced read despite having plenty of meat on its bones. It’s filled with danger, drama and intensity, including the sizzling chemistry between Hope and chosen one. Highly recommend this book wrapped up in this series.

I have been looking forward to this one for a while... but honestly I was kind of bummed not to love it. I think part of it was that Zanetti isn't great at bridging between their storylines and generations - and this one felt very much like it wasn't connected to others. Also Hope... is a dummy. I couldn't get behind her the whole time. Pollyanna, deeply naive and honestly a little dumb. I couldn't handle it - especially because she wasn't like that UNTIL this book. But Paxton - is a goddamn delight. I adore the boy. Deeply consistent as a character and also just a sweetie with a big heart who needs and deserves all the love. I think I know where she is going next as an author? But honestly I might take a hard pause here. ... I did love Pax though.

“Warrior’s Hope.” An amazing story, another wild and unpredictable addition to the 16th installment of the Dark Protector series. Rebecca Zanetti has kept the fires burning and the battlefields busy. You are going to love this book. I have missed the Dark Protectors so much it’s almost like coming home - except there are Vampires, Kurjans, Cysts and any number of Shifters, Witches and Demons hanging around. Hope’s story is one of those that when you are reading, speeding through, because you can’t put it down, you wish it would never end. The upside is this is the end of the second arc of the Dark Protectors, meaning….there’s gotta be a third.
The second generation of Dark Protectors are all grown up and are now fighting the good fight with their parents. Hope is quite accomplished leading her team. Do you remember when she was a young girl, visiting Drake, traveling in her dreams with Libby and Paxton. And this is her story, there are so many twists and turns so strap yourself in. Yes there is that problem with Ulric. Then, Hope’s mate, all her life we have wondered if it would be Drake or Paxton. Who will win Hope’s hand? Thrilling, chilling, what a wild ride this was. I love this series, it just keeps getting better and better.
Thank you to Kensington and NetGalley for letting me read the advanced readers' copy.

Rebecca can never disappoint!! God I love her. I story that keeps giving and giving. I never want these to end. Hope and Paxton!! Hope is the key to all. Paxton is her best friend and protector. Throw in some Kurjans and it’s a recipe for love, excitement, and destiny. It’s hard to leave a detailed review without spoilers but Hope finals gets everything she deserves. Never stop writing Rebecca. Can’t wait for more in the future!
As always I support and Authors I read and it’s a one click buy for me!
***I received a Copy of this from NetGalley. These reviews are of my own opinion.
