I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook.
I loved the color. I usually always enjoy books from this author. I will say this might have been m least favorite but it was not bad in anyway. I think all the books so far I just didn't click with the main female character. I found her absolutely annoying and she completely didn't trust anyone and made up situations in everyone's life and then believed them. I felt like for being a mom she acted like a teenager.

The little beach cafe is just gorgeous and it seems like a great place to catch up with friends or just come when you're feeling lost. Pippa is a quiet and reserved person who I instantly connected with. It was great to watch her come out of her shell and make friends.

I’m in two minds about this book. The premise is inviting, single mother picking up the pieces of her life with a new business, learning new skills and being successful. However the writing is stark in places, assumptions jumped too, self esteem issues and lots of whinging. Of course this is illustrative of how life and people can be but for some romantic escapism there needs to be a bit more of a balance. I will admit the last quarter of the book was spot on. Plenty of drama and action.

Thank you Netgalley

This novel was okay. The characters I couldn't connect with in this genre. I think I need something with more meaning as this felt very materialistic.

This was such a sweet story I loved the fact that most of the characters were lovely, friendly and so eager to help Pippa to open her cafe. The romance in this story wasn't too sickly and Joe sounded like a lovely bloke. I hope there is more in this series as I would love to find out what happens next. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

"The Little Beach Café" by Sarah Hope is a heartwarming and uplifting novel that captures the essence of second chances, new beginnings, and the power of love to heal wounds. With a charming coastal setting and relatable characters, this book offers readers a delightful escape into a world of growth, community, and the transformative nature of love.

Pippa, the central character, finds herself at a crossroads when her aunt bequeaths her a beachfront café. Eager to leave behind a life of financial struggles and unhappiness, Pippa takes a leap of faith with her young son, Joshua, by her side. As she works to turn her café into a thriving business, her past comes back to haunt her in the form of her ex-partner. This unexpected arrival prompts Pippa to reflect on her choices and reevaluate her priorities. Enter Joe, the local plumber, who becomes a beacon of support and a potential source of healing for Pippa's wounded heart.

Hope's portrayal of Pippa's journey is both relatable and inspiring. Pippa's determination to create a better life for herself and her son resonates deeply, making her a character readers will root for from the very beginning. The novel's exploration of family, personal growth, and the challenges of single parenthood adds layers of authenticity to Pippa's narrative.

This was a very enjoyable and sweet read from a new to me author.
I enjoyed getting to know Pippa and her son. They made me smile and laugh at times.
But parts of this book made me sad too. I loved little Joshie. He made want to cry at times Children are the ones who are easily hurt but I like how some bounce back too.
Children are the ones who easily forget sometimes and forgive too.
Pippa was very brave in stepping up and accepting change. Change isn't always easy, but sometimes it can be for the good.
I loved the setting of this book.
The story was so good that I ended up devouring it in one night. I didn't want to put it down until I finished. Just wow.
I feel that this could be a Hallmark movie.
The cover is quite cute too. It was what made me want to read it. I wanted to find out what was happening inside! A very inviting cover.
I enjoyed this book to the fullest!
A sweet contemporary with a little romance thrown in? What's not to love?!
Here's a quote I want to share
‘It’s funny how life turns out. If you hadn’t reopened this place and if Joe hadn’t roped me into helping you, I think I’d have been stuck indoors at home for the rest of my life.’
5 stars for a well written story. I highly recommend it!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Alongside The Seaside Ice Cream Parlour, also by Sarah Hope, I was transported to a thoroughly pleasant world for several hours. I almost read this in one sitting, it was compelling reading,
I was willing PIppa onwards to success as she endeavoured to establish herself in the seaside community that she'd suddenly been thrust into. I wasn't in her plans, but she definitely tenaciously made the most of the opportunity.
I've noticed from this and The Seaside Ice Cream Parlour, that Sarh Hope likes strong women who have a 'can do' attitude despite adveristy and tough situations.
Thoroughly enjoyable read.
