This book was full of powerful stories that pointed people back to God. This book is one that will stick with the reader long after they finish the last page. This is one I highly recommend for many to read as it tells the truth and brings to light a topic that is needed to be talked about. Highly recommend.

A new year starts with a difficult but necessary topic that isn’t talked about enough. Melissa Ohden and other abortion survivors are breaking their silence by sharing their stories and testimonies. This book is not one seeking to add fuel to the fire that is the hot topic of abortion, but one that highlights the grace of the Lord amid the darkness of the world filled with hurt and pain. Melissa opens the door for herself and other abortion survivors to share their stories and touch on something so heartbreaking and tragic in the most kind, loving, and Christ-like way.

“Every Life has dignity, value, and purpose.”

The predominant message is that failed abortions don’t happen and they don’t exist. The news and media are insistent that these stories are merely fairytales even when faced with the names, faces, and stories of survivors. However, this is inaccurate and unfortunately, failed abortions are more common than most realize. In this book, you will find abortion survivor testimonies that include components such as adoption, medical issues, back stories on birth parents, trauma and abuse, and everything in between. It’s incredibly eye-opening through the inclusion of the various types and processes of abortion, how medical professionals and clinics handle a failed abortion, and the impacts it has on women, children, and families with the aftermath it creates on the mental, emotional, and physical state. Among the survivors, a brave God-fearing nurse shares her story working in a hospital, and a long-time doctor who specialized in abortions accounts what he witnessed and what finally led him to stop.

John 8:12✨

Although a difficult book to read at times, there is beauty interwoven in Christ’s love for all his children with key themes of hope, forgiveness, and redemption. These survivors are breaking their silence because they have hope that others whose lives have been influenced by abortion won’t feel alone but rather brave enough to speak out and share their testimonies in the hopes that fewer people will fall prey to the false messages that surround the notion that abortion never fails and that survivors don’t exist.

I highly recommend everyone read this book, and I encourage those who may see the topic of this book who will choose to skip or leave a terrible review to give it a chance… it may very well surprise you. ✨

Thank you to Netgalley and Focus on the Family for sending me an advanced electric copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
