Good Bad Girl is one of the most frustrating books I have read, but in a good way! The way the story is set up is perfectly for the cliffhangers to keep me hooked and ready to discover all of the secrets. This is not a book that I wanted to put down at all!

Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillan audio for the ALC of this book. This is my first Alice Feeney novel and I can see why people love her. Every time I thought I knew what was happening, there was another wrench thrown into the story line.

I'm knocking off a star because the story dragged a bit in the middle and it was quite confusing keeping track of characters in audio form. Otherwise I think this is a great story for mystery/thriller lovers!

I will definitely be reading more of Alice's backlist!

HOLY CRAP!!
Another phenomenal book from Alice Feeney!!!!
Just as I found in a couple of her others that I've read...just when I think I've got it all figured out, I am proven wrong...over and over again!
Sometimes good people have to do bad things… 🐞
So the story begins in the PAST...at the END...on Mother's Day.
Clio's daughter, who is about 6 months old, is STOLEN from her carriage while they are shopping at the grocery store! Clio is obviously distressed... but can she EVER get over this??
Back to the present.... Edith, Clio's Mom has been tricked into living in a nursing home. She is NOT happy, and does NOT want to be there! Not only that, but she thinks that her friend who recently died there, did not die naturally...she thinks she was murdered.
Again...back in the present... Patience is an aide at the nursing home. She has her own sordid past, and basically lies about any and everything...BUT, she is NOT a bad person...just a big liar. She and Edith seem to have formed a wonderful bond, even though one is in her 80's and the other is a teenager... And the dog...well, what else can I say...there's a dog too!! :)
Add in JOY, the head of the nursing home, who is anything BUT joyful. And the fact that Clio was called in to the nursing home because the payments are not being met... and so she will need to find somewhere else for her to live! No compassion whatsoever!
Then we have Jude, the brother, who has nothing nice to say about anything.
And then there's Frankie, who works at the library at the jail. She has her own problems, and what helps her to get through is counting...steps, people, lights, whatever.
So yes, there is A LOT going on in this book, and A LOT of different POV's...but it is absolutely amazing, to the point I'd say JAW dropping multiple times!!
And the way she just ties ALL the pieces together in the end...SUPERB!
This is scheduled to be released on August 29th! So if it sounds good to you, please pick it up!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC of this wonderful audiobook!!
Cannot say enough good things about this one, but if you've read her in the past, you will definitely understand!!
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!

This book was wild! I will 100% recommend someone read it with their eyes instead of listening to it. While the audio book was well done and the characters were well differenciated, it was just difficult to remember who did what how many chapters ago and being able to flip back a few pages would be convenient. I liked the book enough but feel other Feeney's were a little better.

Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney is told from multiple POVs. There’s Frankie who works at a prison and is searching for her lost child. Patience, an 18 year old who is a trainee at a care home. Edith, an elderly woman that resides in the care home and Cleo, a therapist who is Edith’s daughter. The story weaves the lives of these women and divulges how they intersect.

Alice Feeney is the queen of intricately weaving characters together. She does a beautiful job of intersecting and connecting each character.

I thought I knew what happened pretty early on but a twist was thrown in there at the very end that caught me off guard. Personally I would have liked a few more plot twists throughout the book. Since I had 90% of the book figured out in the beginning I started to get bored. I think I few more twists would have kept me on my toes.

Alice Feeney has a very easy writing style. It’s easy to fall into her books. I highly recommend all of her books.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan audio for a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the audiobook. The narrators, Katherine Press and Stephanie Racine. do a great job. The different voices really helps you keep track of all the characters and the pacing was good. The audiobook flowed nicely.

A huge thanks to Macmillan Audio for an advanced copy of Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney

Her books are always so entertaining and have such good twists. I always enjoy her thrillers so I was looking forward to Good Bad Girl especially on audiobook which is my favorite way to read thrillers!

I enjoyed Good Bad Girl but it took me a while to get into it since there are so many characters and trying to figure out how they all connected. I thought the settings and premise were fun, especially once everything was revealed. It had a few twists I was expecting but I did have a surprise or two!

I don't want to give too much away so I'll leave you with Good Bad Girl is a slow build domestic thriller that I enjoyed but it's not my favorite by Alice Feeney.

I love Alice Feeney books on audio and it's just over 9 hours and both narrators did a great job.

Good Bad Girl comes out next Tuesday - August 29th.

Thank you #Netgalley for the ARC audiobook. I always enjoy Alice Feeney's works and this novel was in line with her others.

There are 4 women who narrate this book: Frankie, Patience, Edith, and Clio.

Frankie is a librarian at a prison and is dealing with the fact that her 18 year old daughter ran away from home. Patience is Frankie's daughter who ran away. Patience works at a nursing home taking care of Edith. Edith is in the nursing home because of her daughter, Clio. Clio is a psychologist who lives in a pretty pink house. After the nursing home's manager, Joy, is murdered, the lives of these 4 women start to intersect in twists and turns.

Overall, a good read. The first half was a bit slow, but as all of the details come togehter in the midpoint, my reading speed picked up. There is a final twist that took me awhile to latch onto, because I didn't pick up on any earlier clues. 4/5 stars.

This one was good! I enjoyed the narrator. I will admit that at first, it was tough for me to keep the characters and their storylines straight. I didnt expect the ending though and I love how Feeney always has multiple plot twists.

What a ride! Alice Feeney is literally the queen of twists and turns! I swear I got whiplash by the time I was done. I found myself taking the longer way home so I didn't have to turn it off. Really well written, great characters and a wtf ending! Thank you so much!

Based on reading many of Feeney's past books, I thought this one would be more of a thriller. This story is really about mothers and daughters and how complicated those relationships can be. It talked about postpartum depression and what it means to be a good mother. It was more of a domestic drama that had a lot of backstory and connections. I thought the book was slow but it did pick up after the halfway point. There were a lot of characters that were unclearly connected, and the book being written in third person caused it to feel disjointed. This wasn't my favorite Feeney novel but I did enjoy the listen. The narrator spoke slowly, so I bumped the speed up a little bit. Thank you to the publisher for the ARC of the audiobook version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an easy 5 star.Alice Feeney has become my favorite thriller writer. This was fast paced and still heartfelt and I could not stop once I began. I had to know how it ended with thrills and heart I loved every minute!

SO SO SO GOOD. Alice Feeney is top tier when it comes to mystery writing and this novel did not disappoint. One of my favorite stories she's written to date.

I was left guessing throughout the entire story and did not see the twists coming. Absolutely will recommend to my fellow book worms.

The audiobook reading was wonderful and the narrator did a 5 star job.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ALC. I got half way through and just wasn't into it so i DNF. The narrators were good but i just kept getting confused while listening. Alot of characters and trying to keep story lines straight. I am going to try and read this as a physical book and see if that helps. Overall I love Alice Feeney but this just didn't do it for me.

This book was fantastic! I loved the twists and turns that slowly revealed themselves. I never would have guessed the ending, but it was all tied up nicely and the reader was left with a happy ending.

Audio Narrator was awesome. Book was well paced. Could not put it down. Can't wait for her next Mystery-thriller.

Told in dual timelines and multiple POV's this book was a little hard to follow at first. Even as I felt like I had a grip on the characters and timelines, the story felt like it was all over the place for me. As a result I found myself trying to figure out how everything fits together rather than just listening to and enjoying the story. Everything does come together in the end, and while I guessed some twists, others I didn't - especially the final twist.
This is the first book that I've read from Alice Feeney, and although this one didn't completely knock my socks off, I enjoy her writing style and I look forward to digging into her backlist.

Thank you to @netgalley @macmillan.audio and @flatiron_books for the gifted copy of this book.

This review was tough to write because 1. I love Alice Feeney and 2. I couldn’t remember this book very well even though I read it a few weeks ago which tells me it’s not Feeney’s normal type of book which I constantly think about. I couldn’t connect with the characters very well and really found my mind wandering during this. Part of it could be that I had trouble keeping track of who’s who. I alternated between reading and listening and enjoyed the narrators.

I love a twisty, turning kind of story where you think your characters are far apart and yet, as the story spirals the connections come together in a clever way. There were some surprises, and some easily predicted moments, but overall I was riveted.

Three suspects, two murders, and one victim.

Twenty years ago a baby was stolen from a stroller. Present day a woman is murdered in a nursing home. Both crimes are linked, and one girl is the key to both mysteries. Edith is 80 years old and hates living in the nursing home. Patience cares for and has befriended Edith. Edith's daughter Clio won't speak to her. And then there's Frankie, the prison librarian.

I listened to the audiobook and the narration was fantastic. I loved being in the characters' heads and the foreshadowing moments were read with feeling.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the early audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

New Alice Feeney novel kept me on my toes for sure. I was a little confused listening to the audiobook since the timeline bounced around. The twists were satisfying as is typical Alice Feeney. I enjoyed the short chapters. I’m a fan of books that introduce multiple characters who you don’t know the connection until you get farther along reading, which was the case here. This book was different than her previous books but still kept me interested. Thanks to NetGalley for an early copy of the audiobook for review.

Whew, this was a heck of a ride. This is a multiple POV story, with multiple timelines. It flips back and forth between present day and a traumatic event that happened, giving you bits and pieces to try and put the puzzle together. I wanted to know what happened in moth timelines, so I didn’t ever stall out.

The narrator did a wonderful job, especially with changing up the accents just slightly to hear a difference.

Cleo is a successful therapist and can help others work on fixing themselves. She just can’t fix herself. Her daughter was stolen from the carriage while at the grocery store. As she’s meeting with a new client, she gets a call that her mother is missing from the care home. What else could go wrong?
