This book has everything you except from a Sierra Simone book: beautiful prose, intriguing plot, and sinfully sexy smut. I thoroughly enjoyed this start to the Lyonesse series!
This story is entirely told from Tristan’s POV, and while I think it would be nice to have either Mark or Isolde’s POV, it made sense to me why we only heard from Tristan. Mark is such a mysterious character since you really never know his motives, so the reader was almost acting as Tristan who was figuring things out as he went.
We didn’t really get to see Isolde at all til about the 70% mark, and I do wish we got her a lot sooner. I also read the prequel before reading this and I HIGHLY recommend doing that as it adds a lot to Isolde’s character.
Excited to see where this series goes!

RATING: 4.25/5 STARS
SALT KISS was my first Sierra Simone book, and what a ride it was! This novel was plain addictive and just a blast to read. Tristan was such a likeable hero and narrator and MARK(!) was so intriguing and mysterious. Their chemistry together was 🔥. This series really brings the spice. I loved Tristan and Isolde's connection towards the latter part of the book, and the ending left so much anticipation for the next installment of this series to see Tristan, Isolde, and Mark together... I can't wait. Each character was so layered in their motivations and the story's pacing and character development in this novel and the prequel were excellent. Sierra Simone's writing is transcendent. There were many lines and scenes that were so exquisitely written, I had to pause to soak them in.

Thank you NetGalley and the Publisher for an advance copy of Salt Kiss by Sierra Simone in exchange of an honest review.

The characters leap off the pages, drawing readers into their adventures and leaving them longing for the next installment in the series. If you're a fan of beautifully written smut and aching for a uniquely satisfying reading experience, 'Salt Kiss' is a must-read!"

Sierra Simone delivers some of the spiciest books and goodness they are golden this book Salt Kiss does not disappoint on the spice level. The forbidden love and love triangle make for a delicious read
I loved this book so much!

This was another wonderful read from Sierra Simone. It reminded me of her Camelot series but dark. It is spicy, sexy dark and oh so delicious. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

A classic representation of Sierra Simone and one I thoroughly enjoyed. It's sexy, thrilling and you'll definitely come out of this book needing therapy (my favourite kind of books).
Its a MMF Tristan x Isolde retelling, what more could you want? Each page is filled with
Tristan has my whole heart, he's written to perfection and the chemistry between him and Mark drives me insane.
Sierra Simone never lets me down, after reading the prequel for this book I hoped and prayed I would get access to the ARC and I was so lucky to be accepted. I really do recommend this book to anyone who loves queer BDSM, forced proximity and forbidden romance.

Salt kiss is my first Sierra Simon only book, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
Tristan is an army veteran struggling with both his past, and future, after leaving the military.
Mark is a former CIA agent, and elite kink club owner where guest pay their dues with information.
Isolde is Mark's unexpected fiancé.
Salt Kiss is a Tristan and Isolde retelling like no other! The plot was angsty and engaging. The MMF dynamic was oh so spicy and delicious.
I'm kicking myself now for not starting with the prequel novella, but I plan to still go back and read it all the same.
Overall it was great read and Sierra Simone has herself a new fan.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Thank you Netgalley and Bloom Books for sharing a free digital ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

So let's start with the good stuff. I love the way that Sierra Simone writes, I love how emotional her characters are, I love the way she uses words to explain things, it's like a hot knife going through butter. This book held my attention the entire time. It was sensual, emotional, and just all around a good read. I think it should be marketed as a MM/MF romance however, there is good set up that the next book there might be a poly romance. Overall great book, great portrayal of Dom/sub relationships, and thank you for including aftercare! I will be adding content links in the next few days.

Hold on, I need to take a cold shower after reading this book...
Salt Kiss is a dark spicy MMF romance by Sierra Simone. It is a queer Tristan-Isolde retelling and I am here for it.
This book is not for the kink-adverse. If you like your spice light and fun, pass this on by. However, if you love any of the following, immediately add this to your tbr:
🔥 forbidden romance
🔥 age gap
🔥 morally gray MMC
🔥 dark contemporary romance
🔥 LGTB/queer rep
Salt Kiss is book one in the planned Lyonesse trilogy. My only criticism is that nothing felt resolved at the end of the first book; it is all build-up to the larger story. That said, I enjoyed the *ahem* ride.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
“I want two people. I’m not able to have either of them.”
“I know you think you’re corrupted and stained, but you are good and when I’m near you, I feel like I can be good too. I feel like I can be brave. And I want to protect you. Take care of you.”
• I went into this completely blind (probably should’ve read the novella first but that’s okay) - this was a wild ride. Tristan was just kinda eh for me at first, almost a little too needy for my liking. The pace of the book up until the portion on the yacht felt a little slow and then it picked up a lot, almost feeling a little rushed at the end. I have 938483 questions that need answers and need the second book immediately 😤 I haven’t read anything quite this spicy in a long time - I think I’m #teamisolde at this point but TBD. The cliff hanger at the end has me stressed 🫠 so for now I’ll just be making up all possible scenarios in my head

Omg.... if you're looking for undeniable spice, this is definitely one for you
While this book was not what I expected (guess it pays to do more than skim the summary), it was amazing. The characters are well developed and likable. You are definitely drawn into Tristan and quickly care about him. The force that brings him and Mark together is totally undeniable from the beginning. While parts seemed to move a bit slower, the last 1/3 of the book.and cliffhanger ending more than make up for it.

This new trilogy from Sierra Simone is absolutely brilliant. Sierra sucks the reader in with compelling characters dealing with their own baggage all the while navigating an unconventional relationship. And that’s not to say that she skimps out on the spice. It has the spice level that a reader of Sierra Simone’s books has come to expect. Salt Kiss is an unput-a-downable book that will have the booktok community set a blaze!

This is the type of book that sometime do you think it’s too intense to keep reading but you still can’t put down. The characters are so complicated, and their relationships are intertwine in ways that are not often healthy yet you are a come, held to keep reading, and In a way rooting For the characters to find love.
Tristan has come back from fighting in a war, and is still dealing with the demons that he has from what he had to do to protect his fellow soldiers. He unexpectedly finds a way to deal with it better through his new boss Mark, who runs the Lyonesse club. Their relationship is complicated anyway because Mark‘s sister has recently been married to Tristan’s father.
Mark definitely has an agenda and so in fact, does his intended bride Isolde who Tristan also has feelings for as well. This is the first part of the trilogy And I cannot wait until the next books because these three characters are an extremely complicated relationship which is going to be messy yet fascinating to watch.

Omg! Let me just say, I requested this book based on the cover and author alone. I had no idea what I was getting myself into...then I read the excerpt and thought idk if I'm the target audience for this book. This would be my first MMF novel to read. Here I read the names Tristan and Isolde and immediately thought of the book/movie - and yes, this a retelling of that but with a twist.
Sierra Simone wrote this so well. Tristan is such an innocent lovesick puppy and that is his curse. Now he's gotten himself into a little off-limits romance with Mark, his boss and owner of this kink club. And he has fallen head first into a world he never could have imagined. Cue the arranged marriage fiancee, Isolde, that he has to bring back to his boss. And he's been instructed to treat her well - just like Mark would treat her. So you know, I'm thinking Mark planned this all along. He knew what he was doing when he sent Tristan in his place.
This book ends at the edge of the cliff...so now I need book 2 so I can see how this all plays out!
Well done Sierra, well done.

I received a copy of this for my honest review
This is my first Sierra Simone book - and it will absolutely not be my last! This was so good. It's the first in a new trilogy based off the Tristan and Isolde story. In this story you have Tristan, a former army hero, who comes to work for his step uncle in law at his Kink club as a bodyguard - only to fall for him as a sub. When he finds out he is engaged, he breaks it off, but still goes to bring the fiancé back to him - where he instantly falls for her too.
5 stars - 5 chili spices!

4.5 ⭐️. She did it again, I got sucked right into this world. A mysterious MMF love triangle full of virgins, dom/sub, danger, politics & immaculate spice, Definitely recommend reading salt in the would before starting this to get a full setup and background of the story. I can’t wait to see where this trilogy goes. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I felt the mark/tristian portion dragged a little and the tristian/Isolde portion could’ve been longer and better developed. But overall loved and devoured this.

Woah! Dont really have a ton of words for this. In short this is a wild ride. A MMF wild ride that will continue in book 2. The end has your mouth hanging open with an "Oh shit!" expression.
I'm not super familiar with the Tristan and Isolde story, so I have no idea is this was a true adaptation, but it was fun, sexy and action packed!
Thank you #NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Pros: Simone continues to be a master at telling absolutely beautiful, yet filthy, romance stories. I know what I’m going to get when I pick up one of her books: interesting characters, an engaging plot, and hot, hot sex. This story is no different. This book is 350 pages but feels shorter because I was hooked from page one. I appreciated that while this book includes BDSM, it’s not whips and chains like a lot of romance authors tend to write. There is nuance to the dominant and submissive relationship between Mark and Tristan that ended up being quite beautiful.
Cons: I should have known, when I was 50% done with the book and there had been one mention of Isolde, and knowing how Simone operates, that we would be left desperate for book 2 in the series. And… I was right. While we do get a bit of Isolde towards the end, I wanted more of her.

3.5 Stars
Honestly I am a little unsure how I felt about this book. It was definitely a first for me, being like a polyamorus romance book and it definitely was one of the most freakiest and spiciest book I ever read. I’m not too sure how I feel about the plot, but I will say that I definitely want to know what is going to happen next, so I will for sure be continuing this series.

Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me. The blurb talks about Tristan falling for Isolde, but it's mainly about Tristan and Mark. Isolde doesn't even come into the picture until about the 70% mark. I also didn't love how naïve Tristan was written, considering he just came out of the military and has definitely seen some shit. I love how well Sierra Simone writes smut, but I think her plot lines just aren't for me.
