This was such a FUN read! Addie is a travel consultant and meets Logan on of the tour guides as her new project in the highlands. Logan is, of course, wearing a kilt and drama and romance ensues.
If you're looking for an escape, a man in a kilt, or a really endearing mmc who just wants the real thing, this is going to be for you! The tours and exploration of the Scottish Highlands were an absolute delight as someone who has never been, but would love to go!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Canary Street Press for this ARC! I'll definitely be looking for more reads from Alexandra Kiley after this!

I now want to go to Edinburgh real bad! This book felt like a romance for Scotland, not just Addie and Logan.
Every character in this book was charming, even the supporting characters. Big Mac, Kevin., Elyse- they all got there moments to shine and I loved that. The character development of Addie was wondering to see. She had her own battles and things to work through and it was beautiful to be able to be along for the journey of that. I loved her and her story. Logan is a total heartthrob and I am here for it! This story was so lovely and has the perfect amount of spice, in my opinion . There wasn’t anything that felt too cheesy like it can be with other romances. I would recommend this to anyone!

I have only 2 questions for Alexandra Kiley:
1. Was Logan based on a real person?
2. Is that person single? 😂🙈
Kilt Trip reminded me of everything that I love about steamy rom-coms. I simultaneously couldn’t read fast enough and I did not want it to end. It did not matter that I know that this genre almost guarantees a happy end - the tension and suspense were so wonderfully done in this one!
Addie and Logan felt real to me and I was rooting for that on every single page. Though Addie’s life and family experience were nothing like my own, I could fully understand and empathize with her world view! I had an instant book crush on Logan (attractive, kind, family oriented man with a Scottish accent wearing a kilt - how could I not?!) and I think he earned a spot in my favorite book boyfriend collection! 😂
The tension building was impeccable. That first kiss had me swooning. Steam was perfectly steamy. And there was so much substance underneath it all. It wasn’t just a romance, it was a story of our universal need for connection, family, purpose. Not to mention the fact that this book just intensified my desire to visit and experience Scotland! I know whatever else Alexandra Riley writes I’ll be reading it!!! (I would not object to it involving Jack or Ried - Logan’s brothers) 🫶
Read this if you’re looking for
💙 great chemistry
💙 instant connection
💙 he falls first

💙 men in kilts
A huge thank you to @htpbooks & @netgalley for my ARC! All swooning is my own!

Kilt Trip was just the book I needed to get over my meh reading slump! It was perfect-the setting, the enemies to lovers with on point banter and thick tension that turned into on fire chemistry. This book was so much more than just a fun read, it was also a love letter to Scotland and all the history, culture and people it has to offer.
Addie was a great female lead- she’s head strong and passionate about her work but personally she’s guarded and rightfully so and when she felt her walls beginning to crumble around Logan and she wanted so desperately to let him in easily but old habits die hard and you feel it. Logan was smitten from the very beginning with Addie even though he didn’t want to be he saw everything she had to offer professionally and appreciated it but he wanted so much more from her on a personal level. The way the two of them connected was awe-inspiring and they truly created something magical and rediscovered the feeling and the meaning of home.
Thank you @akileybooks @htpbooks and @netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

4✰ // Kilt Trip is such a fun, tender, and heartfelt book. i adored the atmospheric Scottish setting and historical influence with which the book is imbued. the romance between Addie and Logan is so tender (calling all enemies-to-lovers fans) and was definitely hair-twirl & foot-kick worthy, but i also appreciated that Kiley didn’t shy away from heavier topics regarding mental health, trauma, and grief, and instead approached them with a skilled and honest hand. i definitely recommend reading Kilt Trip to anyone looking for a heartfelt romance that enjoys books with a Scottish setting.
thank you so much to Canary Street Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet, fun and transported romance! I enjoyed being whisked away to Scotland and following both the emotional and physical journey of Addie and Logan's story. I loved the playful banter between Logan and Addie and was rooting for them from the start. This story had a lot of things I like in a romance novel: travel, adventure, heat, found family and spice!

Kilt Trip was another adorable romance that I devoured. It completely transported me to Scotland and I’ve never been there so I was happy to take this trip.
I appreciated Addie’s story and how she was dealing with grief, family relationships, and her future. I really related to a lot that she was going through.
Logan is just an amazing hero. He’s sweet and steady plus he looks great in a kilt!
The cover of this book is perfection. I fell in love with the entire Sutherland family. (Book 2, please!!)
Loved the epilogue, which is a must in a romance book in my opinion. This book is available now and I definitely recommend grabbing a copy. The audiobook is fantastic because Logan‘s Scottish accent is 🔥😍🔥.

Alexandrea Kiley’s debut novel, Kilt Trip, was a delightful and charming read! Addie is a travel consultant hired to help a struggling family-run tour company. Logan is a kilt wearing tour guide and the company owner’s son. Addie and Logan butt heads from the start, both unwilling to compromise on their opinion of what will save the business, that is until the sparks begin to fly. I loved the chemistry between the MC’s— it was heartfelt, steamy and did not lack emotional depth. Kiley’s vivid descriptions of the landscape, ancient castles, and historical landmarks transported you right to the Scottish Highlands. Oh and the hot, kilt wearing tour guide with a thick brogue accent definitely helped.😏
If you didn’t have Scotland on your adventure list before, you will after reading this! 👋🏻✈️
Thank you Netgalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! I will be purchasing it for my library and recommending it to my patrons. As someone with Scottish heritage, I have a special affinity for books set in Scotland, and it's clear that Alexandria Kiley shares this love. The history included in the story and the descriptions of the highlands and countryside were spot-on and brought the setting to life. I particularly enjoyed the author's portrayal of the hills, castles, villages, and waters of Loch Ness, which brought back many fond memories of my trip to Scotland. Her description of the roundabouts really resonated with me - my daughter did all the driving when we visited, but it was still quite stressful!
The chemistry between Addie and Logan was intense right from their first meeting when Addie intentionally crashed Logan's tour. I was rooting for them to work things out, but I do wish they had communicated a wee bit better towards the end.
Overall, I would highly recommend this novel, especially if you're a fan of Scottish books or have a soft spot for Scottish men in kilts!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for allowing me to read an ARC of this wonderful book!

this was a very cute romance. It did get a little boring in the middle but I appreciated the discussions revolving grief.

3.5 rounded up.
I had to read this for the title alone, but it also turned out to be an adorable read. Both MCs, Addie and Logan, are passionate and stubborn. Which made their banter and overcoming the "enemies" to lovers situation all the more engaging. I did find it a bit boring at times and had to push through the first 20% or so before I felt invested. But the Scottish-ness of it all, the grief healing aspect for Addie, and the chemistry between the leads kept me going.
Thank you to Netgalley and Canary Street Press for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I read this book on a flight on St Patrick’s Day; I thought it would be the perfect romance for the day. It was a fun read. Addie arrives in Edinburgh to help a tour company re-think its tour offerings in the Scottish Highlands to be more profitable. She goes on a tour by Logan (son of the owner) while eating all the things that go well and things she could improve. He takes his tours very personally and has specific ideas of what he wants to happen. So they take each other on their perfect itineraries. Loved “seeing” all the sights through their eyes. It made me want to be there.

This is a very sweet story! And a stand-alone.
Addie Macrae is a globetrotter. She travels all over as a travel consultant (which actually sounds like the coolest job ever). Addie is sent to Scotland to help a struggling family run tour business. She has some emotional baggage.
She's helping Logan Sutherland’s tour business. And he is not pleased about it. Not one bit. But his business is struggling. The two of them don't exactly become fast friends. He's afraid of change, and she constantly needs change.
These two will have some forced proximity while working in the office together. There's some office shenanigans, which was pretty funny.
But the more time they spend together, the more they come to understand each other. It gets pretty romantic. They form a connection when Logan finds out about how much Scotland means to Addie and her past.
I enjoyed Logans family and his extended work family. It was so nice to see Addie get what she deserved.

I highly recommend this book. It is a lighthearted and swoony contemporary romance. I greatly enjoyed the character development. The author did a great job of balancing providing depth with ensuring that the book did not become too heavy. There was a good level of spice - it added to the story without feeling like it was overdone. I was so invested in the characters and cannot wait for the next book!
Also, I loved that the book was set in Scotland.

This book was a good romance story. I wish we saw more character development with Addie and her Dad. We were just left with her hanging up on him and nothing else. Also, we are never told what happened to Addie's mom besides it being sudden. Missing these two parts of the story makes the book feel incomplete. I'm glad Addie opened Her heart to Logan, but I wanted to see more of her healing in other relationships.

3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
2.5/5 🌶️🌶️
I really enjoyed the Edinburgh and Scotland imagery of this book! It was very vivid and the bits of history and fun facts were really enjoyable. I really felt like I was there. That was the best part of this book. I did really like the friends and Logan family/coworkers too. Their banter was fun.
I liked Logan and I found I laughed quite a bit in his chapters. I didn’t love the FMC that much. Their chemistry was a bit forced with the enemies to lovers but not really? type of situation. The spice was good but I couldn’t figure out why Logan liked Addie. The things he said he liked about her were the same reasons he didn’t want to be with her so that was confusing.
This book has both instalove and miscommunication, which I didn’t love with how slow the pace of this book was. It does span over about a month or so and I felt like I was reading it for just as long. I’m not a huge fan of slow burn books, in general but the addition of the loss of her mother and the repressed grief made it hard for me to enjoy this one.
I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley. I think if you’re someone who enjoys slow burn and romcoms, you might enjoy this one better but it wasn’t my cuppa.

Addie travels to Scotland to help a tour company improve their business. She meets handsome tour guide/owner of the business Logan. Logan has a ton of Scottish charm. The stories he tells draws both Addie and the reader into the story. This is a fun romance that makes me want to travel to Scotland to see some of the sites that the characters visit.

First and foremost, I want to go to Scotland. Now onto everything I didn’t like…. This girly needs to go to therapy. One of my biggest romcom pet peeves is when the two main characters shouldn’t end up together because they really need to work on themselves and that was the case with this. Addie has not grieved losing her mother when she was a teenager, so she pushes away everyone who cares for her as a defense mechanism. I think he seemed way more into her than she was into him (he literally mentioned this multiple times) and then she just pops in the last couple pages and says jk I love you pooks and he’s like slay let’s get married. It was a love letter to Scotland and I liked the grief elements and found family, I just think it would work as a general fiction instead of a romcom!

Kilt Trip is such a cozy, heartfelt read. Sometimes all you need to cure some wanderlust is reading a book like this one! Addie is easy to like, and also to identify with. Kiley wrote about her struggles with grief beautifully and since most of us have experienced some kind of loss, it really hit home. Also, who couldn't fall for Logan? Can't wait to read more of Kiley's books!

I really enjoyed this one! It was light-hearted while also dealing with not-so-light things. I loved the setting, the characters, and how well Addie and Logan work together.
I liked how Addie and Logan had different ideas about the tours but were able to compromise on what turned out to be a really great business endeavor.
This was a really sweet book with some great spicy scenes as well...
