Wow.

Book 1 was good, book 2 was excellent.

There was multiple things going on with Rylan and I have to say that about 70% in Rylan handled a situation that literally brought me to tears. I was sobbing. It was so good and so well written. And there was a light bulb moment for me as well that reminded me of
Sixth Sense (the movie).

I like where the author is taking this series and I can’t wait for the next book. I’m a huge fan is mystery mixed with paranormal. This series is a must read for those who love this genre.

Urban fantasy mystery with ghosts for older YR and YA. This proved to be a short fun read. I’ve read the first book, that was fun, and I liked this one too. Rylan Flynn is a ghost hunter who wants to help ghosts pass on when she can. This gift gets her in the middle of more murder, mystery and ghosts as she tries to find out what happened and who did it. Although this story is complete, the end of the book again brings another big hook to the next in the series. I look forward to reading it and spending time with these characters! Thank you to Second Sky and NetGalkey for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it a little while ago. I didn’t realize that the second one was close to coming out, and I was excited to read it. I enjoyed this latest even more than the first one. Riley is such a complex character with hoarder tendencies, a “presence” in her brother’s old bedroom, and the murder of her mother. Add to that the interesting mystery that Riley, Ford, and others need to unravel before someone close to them dies. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series, and I’m hoping that some time in the future, we learn some of Riley’s secrets. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is the first dawn merriman book i have read and though i dont know if i really believe in ghosts myself the description intrigued me. I have too say i really like Rylan there is something about her and i love the friendahip she has with mickey and ford. The way she connects and speaks to ghosts is intriguing and quite loveley and i really got involved in the story and with the characters. theres a few lil twists in there its great can't wait for the next one.

2.5 stars. I think that there is probably a market for this type of mystery, but I am not that market. I also felt as though the writing style was especially juvenile in that the characters did not sound like adults.

I love ghosts and just wish I could see/communicate with them. Rylan Flynn can and does. She earns a living from it - and to be honest, she earns every penny. Having to share your home with the ghost of your mother is one thing - but when that ghost died by having the back of her head shot off, well, reminds you that ghosts come in all sort of deaths.

loved it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher I read a free advance review copy of the book. T
his review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.

The Shadow Girls picks up right where Shadow Girls ends. Rylan snarky, sarcastic, slightly insecure, and always willing to help a spirit in need. I enjoy that the author provides us Ford's (Rylan's hopeful love interest) as well and he get to know him and his feelings a smidge more in this tale.

Spoiler Alert!
I loves Sarah's ghost story along with the mystery of what happened to Bess. I was a little confused about the ending with what happened to James, Missy, and the puppet. Is she a demon? Is she possessed? I get why Rylan did not tell explain what she saw to the police, by the author needs to tell the reader!
