Danielle Steel never disappoints. This novel brings widowed Kezia across the country to be closer to her daughters and restart her life. After losing her husband, who was many years her senior, she is able to start fresh. She meets her movie star neighbor Sam, because they share a balcony. When tragedy strikes NYC, both Kezia and Sam chip in to help any way they can.

I love the connection between Kezia and Sam. Two different people, from different worlds, forming a long-lasting friendship. This was a quick, engrossing read.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House - Ballantine for my gifted copy of this book.

🩷 Never Too Late by Danielle Steel 4 ⭐️ Review 🩷
Pub Date: March 5th, 2024
Thank you, NetGalley, Random House Publishing, & Danielle Steel
🩷 Breast cancer mention
🩵 Leukemia mention
🩷 Talks of divorce
🩵 Talks of a dad not wanting his child
The storyline was well written but overall it felt really slow maybe because I wasn’t fully prepared for the way Danielle Steel writes. I really enjoyed the way she puts characters together! 🥰 Also, love how she gives representation to other real life things in her books like cancer, divorce, parents no5 wanting to be in their children’s lives because things like that make a story more realistic! 🫶🏻 This is my first one of this author but won’t be my last. 😉

NEVER TOO LATE
Danielle Steel
Romance / Women’s Fiction

Kezia and Sam are new neighbors and finding themselves attracted to each other. When tragedy hits they both throw themselves into volunteer work. Will the tragedy pull this new relationship apart or throw them closer together.

This new book is quite possibly my favorite Danielle Steel book so far. Filled with romance, drama and tragedy all mixed together, this was my kind of book. I would give this one a 5 out of 5 stars.

I didn't like this one very much. It began fairly routine, but I absolutely hated the horrific disaster Steel manufactured. I didn't want to read about it even if it was fictitious.
That soured the book for me. I also thought Kate was a horrible character and despised her parts of the book, even after she got her head out of her rear end.
This was not one of Steel's better books.

Im on the fence about this one - if I just liked it - or if I LIKED it.
Death of spouse - check
Cross country move - check
strained relationship w daughter - check
Random movie star living next door - check
Complete and utter terroristic devestation - check
Everything magically falling into place - Exactly what I would expect from a Danielle Steel novel so I'm def not disappointed.
Yes, I'm a sucker for a happy ending - real life is so unpredictable that we all expect the worst all the time and reading is an escape. Never Too Late gave me that for a few hours. Thank you to Netgalley, Danielle Steel and Macmillan for an ARC of Never Too Late in exchange for an honest review.

I have always loved Danielle Steel's books. Lately, I feel like the books are rushed and not much character development and not much interaction between characters. I just feel like she rushes through the books to get so many out per year. This has made me sad, I have loved her earlier books.

I’ve read alot of Danielle Steel books over the years but found this storyline unsettling. New York city and 9/11 as a backdrop to a story is one thing but a second more vicious attack is just disturbing. Too soon. The side story of the widow meeting and falling in love with the famous movie star was predictable. Seemed like a bad attempt to intertwine the typical love story with a horrible attack by Americans on American soil. Very disappointing. Not at all what I expected from a Danielle Steel novel.

Kezia is ready to begin a new chapter. She has sold her home in a tony neighborhood. Stepped away from her charitable responsibilities and purchased a home in a New York high rise. Just as she is settling in, getting her bearings, meeting her neighbors, tragedy strikes the downtown area. The incident bring her and Sam closer , but it also helps her put a light on what she needs to feel fulfilled. I love this new direction Ms Steele has for her characters as they navigate beyond the acquisition of assets and ambitions. I like the depth of each of these people as they allow their children their own lives , content to witness rather than control. Advise with no interference. It’s a new perspective and it’s welcome. Happy reading

Danielle Steel is always a consistent, satisfying read. Never Too Late is a lovely novel about the joys of finding a fruitful second half of life in a new city. Kezia Cooper is a strong businesswoman and mother of daughters, both of which resound for me. I enjoyed the ups and downs in her relationships with her daughters as well as the budding romance. Never Too Late is a comfortable, not overly angsty novel about finding yourself and living your best life in spite of life's tragedies.

Another feel good story from Danielle Steel.

If you are a fan of Steel's books, the story and the plot will not be a surprise. While so many of her books feel the same, the story is always different. Even in a short(ish) book, Steel has the ability to make you feel with the characters.

Kezia and her daughters, Sam and his son - all come together in New York. There are blooming romances and a not so broken heart. You will find yourself cheery on everyone!

Never Too Late is a haunting novel of two people caught in the throws of a tragedy that effected all of us. It is New York, September 11, 2001. It is a day like no other in our nation's history and one where people came together. The emotional events of that day naturally translated to a common bond for two people that might likely have never met. Danielle Steel tells their story as only she can, the bond, the continuing tug at the heart of two adults destined after that day to share more than ever. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It contains Steel's usual rich characters, and the setting that most of us will never forget. Thanks to #NetGalley#NeverTooLate for the opportunity to read and review this latest of Steel's books.

Having witnessed 9/11, I was consumed with the novel,Never Too Late by Danielle Steel. This book revolves around tragedy and relationships. It also installs the idea that romance can be born at any age and can happen more than once in your life. Read this book to find out how tragedy can bring happiness to a widow and her family.
Thank you to Net galley for allowing me to read this novel prior to its publication.
