Another amazing installment in the Rick Riordan Presents line of books. I absolutely loved the take on Mesopotamian mythology. It is not something that is generally seen in books for children/young adults. I liked how it picked up and gave the readers a little more insight to the relationships between Sik and Mo. The story had a few slower parts to me but not enough that I didn't want to continue. I look forward to reading more stories from Sarwat Chadda. The narrator for the audiobook did a fantastic job with the pacing and emotion that needed to bring the story to life.

A great follow-up to City of the Plague God. We see the return of the awesome cast of characters from the first book, (Belet is as fierce as ever) and we are introduced to some terrific new additions, particularly Rabisu and Belet's father. The comedy, action, and history/mythology are blended so well. Vikas Adams is the narrator, he also narrated the first book and again produced a marvelous performance. Each character's voice came through beautifully.

This narrator annoyed me. I couldn’t get into the story at all because of him and couldn’t finish it. I might try the physical copy if I can get his voice out of my head.

Fans of Rick Riordan, Tui T. Sutherland, and Erin Hunter will find a thrilling adventure with young adult protagonists and plenty of fantasy and make believe. I like that the characters have a Muslim background and reference food being halal. The narration was great set to the background music of adventuresome instrumentals. The narrator also did a great job taking on different genders and intonations in order to immerse the reader in the world of Dragons and adventure.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a fast-paced story with interesting characters and adventure.

This book is an exciting adventure that adults can enjoy reading along or listening to the audiobook with their kids. The narrator, Vikas Adam, is a captivating storyteller and is the same narrator for the first book in the series. The series is based on Mesopotamian mythology, but no prior knowledge of Mesopotamian mythology is required to understand and enjoy the books. This book series will likely be enjoyed by anyone who is a fan of Rick Riordan. I really hope that there will be more to come in the Adventures of Sik Aziz! After enjoying the first two books in this series, I’m intrigued to dive into some other books written by Chadda. I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of the audiobook and wish to thank Disney Audiobooks, Rick Riordan Presents Audio, and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a wonderful continuation of Sarwat Chadda's modern day tale filled with Mesopotamian mythology. For fans of Rick Riordan's style this book will definitely appeal. It is the second book in the series and I hope there is more to follow as Chadda builds a wonderful world.

Thank you Disney Audiobooks, Rick Riordan Presents Audio, and NetGalley for the advanced electronic audio review copy of this great book. I was so excited to see that Sarwat Chadda decided to add another book and tell us more of Sik Aziz’s adventures. This book is just as good as the first one as we learn more about Mesopotamian mythology while following Sik Aziz on his next adventure. Definitely recommend this book.

Best read of the summer for me! Sarwat Chadda was my book club's favorite author last year and I couldn't want to get my hands on a copy of this book and into the hands of my munchkins.

I was blessed to get an advanced copy of the audiobook and the ebook AND the physical copy of this book ahead of schedule! So I read the ebook with the audiobook playing and my son read the physical copy. We BOTH loved it so much. We only read two books together this summer and this was one of them and it was glorious.

Sic and Daoud were supposed to be on vacation, but can a hero ever really go on vacation? And can you truly relax on vacation with a demon and a demon hunter on your vacay? Belet (hunter) and Rabisu (demon bestie of Sic) are at each other's throats from the get go. Daoud is super famous and always in demand. Sic finds himself in trouble while sight seeing when he accidentally gets his hands on a mythical tablet of fate and destiny and uses it to bring back his brother Mo unintentionally. Once the tablet is active... there's a few demons and gods who want to get their hands on it as well to rewrite history. Will Sic be able to right the past or will having his brother back prove too much of a temptation to turn back the past?

What I LOVED the most: all the main characters are back (although Ishtar isn't really a MC this go around and she was my fave), Rabisu is the demon bestie I would want if I were able to have a demon bestie, the catch 22 Sic finds himself in, Tiamet (yes, that Tiamet... the ultimate dragon - every D&D player will squee at this!!), Daoud becomes even more lovable!

One of my best reads of this year so far!
