This is an adorable book with beautiful illustrations! I wish that it had a nicer font and that it was a bit bigger, but that's a small thing. I love that it went over a few constellations, but also encouraged children to make their own designs from the stars!

I thought maybe this would be a story about friends connected by their love of stargazing, but it's more a series of pretty pictures by Sonia Maria Luce Possentini of kids and animals looking skyward while the author offers instructions on viewing the heavens. It's a nice sentiment, however, and I appreciate anything that encourages kids to put down their screens and get OUTSIDE.

When I lived in Brazil, one of the things I remember clearly is just how close the sky seemed, especially at night. We lived in a city so we didn't see many starts because of all the lights, but I had the opportunity to go Interior and OH. MY. GOSH. , the stars seemed close enough to touch. I never wanted to come inside; I always wished I had a camera that would have been able to capture that completely gorgeous view. It was all-encompassing and at times, really overwhelming [they really did seem like they could come down and press around you] and I would give anything to experience that again.

THIS amazing children's book reminds me of that time and I highly recommend it - filled with gorgeous illustrations [that made me all wistful for that time in my life], it reminds all of us just why we need to go outside at night and not only look at the stars, but make stories about them, learn the stories of the constellations that are already there and to just dream.

This was just a magnificent little read and I am so glad that I was able to both read it and revisit a lovely time I had in my memory.

This is a great book. The pictures are lovely!

This book is a good reminder for children to go outdoors and explore the sky. This book is best suited for younger children. I do wish that the author explored some of the constellations a bit more. I think that expanding on some constellations would improve the book by giving a few things for children to look for in the sky, which would encourage them to spend more time outside and stargaze.

The author offers a look at all the reasons people offer to stargaze as you're supposed to. They lead us through a series of ideas and options and after each remind us that there are other reasons. In the end, it comes down to stargaze because you want to and enjoy it every chance you can. I appreciate the encouragement to simply do this without other agendas or requirements but at times the transitions were a bit abrupt and difficult to follow. The illustrations are gorgeous throughout.

This book had absolutely beautiful artwork. It’s all about the different ways you can observe the stars and with who, plus what you can see. It doesn’t have a lot of text, so it allows you to ponder those moments and really pay attention to the pictures.

Loved this book and can't wait to add it to my classroom! The message is great, showing students that there are many ways to enjoy the stars. The illustrations are vibrant and engaging, students will pick this off a shelf based on the cover alone!

Esenwine does a good job of explaining the joys of stargazing and the worlds of stories written in the sky. This was a fun read and a good tool for teaching children how to find the constellations and maybe spark their curiosity in knowing the stories behind them.
