A funny and engaging story, wonderful character interactions and a lovely dynamic in the story telling. Some laugh out loud moments. Recommended, easy to follow read.

This was a fun read. I liked the 80s teen movie references, the cookie characters, the dialogue and the narrattion from both main character's perspectives

A lighthearted romantic comedy, featuring friends to lovers, dual POV and slow burn.

I'm glad Jade grew throughout the book, realising that she should follow her heart and not be scared of it. The cosy slow burn between River and Jade was adorable, they are perfect for one another - and I'm glad Jade realised that she's worth more than just 'emoji' texting, little communication and rushing out of the door away from her.

In this charming tale, Jade gets the proposal of her dreams but starts questioning her relationship when her fiancé overlooks key details. Working at a bar, she encounters River, who senses the truth about her fiancé. As Jade navigates past trauma and vulnerability, River strives to show her genuine love. While some label it a love triangle, Conner's detachment makes it more about Jade's journey. The story beautifully explores Jade's growth and River's efforts to reveal her worth. Despite Jade's frustrating stubbornness, her loyalty adds depth. The narrative, not rushing to a happily-ever-after, unfolds into a sweet romance. The book invites readers to reflect on the nature of true love and self-discovery, making it a lovely, heartwarming read with characters destined for each other.

Thank you Netgalley & Boldwood Books for access to this title in exchange for an honest review. 🤍

I really enjoyed this book and loved all of the characters. It was a perfect friends-to-lovers romance. Aimee Brown brings a freshness to often-used tropes and this book is another example of that. I can’t wait to read more from Aimee Brown.

I didn’t love this which is a shame because I enjoyed the writing to a certain point but it was just a bit ridiculous. The main character was so frustrating, she knew her decision was wrong and just seemed insanely stubborn about it, I guess it’s a literary style but it just made it very difficult to read and I couldn’t understand her decisions at all. Not for me.

This book was just not for me. The main characters were super frustrating and I just couldn’t connect to them at all. It made it very hard for me to finish the book and because of that, I stopped a little less than halfway through the book. I’m sorry!

I'm really starting to like the universe that Aimee Brown is building with these books. I like that she chose to keep the stories interwoven. So while it's not a series, we still get to keep up with Dax and the characters introduced in her first book. This is kind of a fake engagement/real engagement story with competing boy toys and is seriously laugh out loud. I love these books because they are genuinely hysterical. I could kind of take or leave the female main character. I thought she was kind of a pushover in a not great way. Although I appreciate that there was a decent development ARC for her becoming her own person. Now the male love interest? I loved River. He was such a big goofy dufus, but not in the way that it's super annoying. It just made him endearing and I loved it I fell in love with his character and about how sure of himself he was. I love that you could tell through the story that River lives out loud and doesn't ask permission for anyone. Really the two of them were meant for each other and it was super entertaining reading through all of the shenanigans on the road to love.

I've followed Aimee Brown's books for awhile so this was a no -brainer for me to read.

So excited about this friends to lovers, will they or won't they, book about two people who are wonderfully flawed and a whole lot of fun.

The banter between River and Jade moves the story along and builds great tension as we all wait for each of them to see each other and get that HEA.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I am a great fan of Aimee Brown’s writing. Her characters always have heart, excellent dialog, and believable scenarios. Terrific world building of life in Portland Oregon too. I loved the tension between Jade and River. River is written so well, especially. Makes the heart pitter patter. I loved his wise, honest lines like: “All I know is that there are three things you can never get back; people after death, words spoken, and time wasted.”

This book is infectiously happy. I feel like I was constantly smiling and laughing whilst reading. Which surprised me - I didn’t expect I’d love River’s story this much or that he’d be such an endearing character. He’s honestly one of the most hilarious characters I’ve ever read.

I loved the previous two books in the series, and this was a lovely one to finish on. Jade and River truly felt like two soulmates meant to be together ❤️

What to expect:

- slow burn
- no spice, but amazing chemistry
- she’s engaged to someone else
- 80s/90s vibes
- friends to lovers

Quick Summary: A Say Anything wo-fi romance

My Review: Stuck With You by Aimee Brown was a sigh and a smile kind of story. It was Never Been Kissed with a touch of Serendipity. It was sweetness and humor. It was hearts and stars. I absolutely loved it!

About the Book: Timing is everything. Jade and River didn't get it right the first time they were around each other. Still, they became close friends. When they faked an engagement, little did they know they would get a second chance at their very own love story.

My Final Say: Oh my goodness, this book was so adorable. It was quirky and brilliant all at the same time. That ending was "Kiss Me" cuteness. Readers who love that famous John Cusack boom box scene will totally fall for this one.

Jade has just gotten engaged to Connor who disappears back to his life at med school without communicating to her. Jade turns to her friends and family to help her sort through her emotions. River is recovering from a nasty break up years ago and doesn’t understand why Jade is so attached to someone who treats her badly. Jade and River become closer as friends but will it turn into something more.
The characters were fantastic in this book. Really interesting and quirky. This is a very gentle low stakes romance with a slow friends to lovers vibe.
This wasn’t my cup of tea. I really wanted Jade to dump Connor in the first few chapters.
If you like indecisive fmc and quirky romantic 80s films and gestures this is the book for you.

Thank you to the author, publisher and netgalley for the opportunity to read this book early. All thoughts are my own.

Lovely book filled with lovely characters. Jade and Conner have just got engaged. Jade feels that she has everything that she ever dreamed off. But then disappears. So she ends up getting closer to one of her guy friends. Pretending to be engaged to him until a real relationship begins to develop. Was she engaged to the wrong guy after all.
