I love a good devotional. There is nothing better than one that is easy to follow and understand. This is perfect for not only adults but young adults as well.

Pause and Pray covers a wide range of topics in simple, bite sized prayers. I didn't feel like all the topics were applicable to my life, but there were definitely a couple that were exactly what I needed to pray about.

It would have been nice if the book was organized a bit better with an index for the different categories. There is a scripture index which is nice, but not very helpful if you're looking for a specific answer or prayer.

All in all, if you'd like a devotional book filled with honest conversations with God, this is the book for you.

I really liked the style of this devotional/prayer book, "Pause and Pray (teen girls)." It is realistic and focuses on the many challenges that teenagers (and adults) face today. The prayers are simple but direct; showing an honest communication with our Lord. How often do we feel our prayers need to be bigger and more eloquent to be meaningful and to truly connect with God. We forget to talk to our Lord openly, honestly, and in every situation (ex: from being "too busy" in our activities to being concerned with appearances/acceptance from friends and family).

I recommend this book for the teen girl in your life and for any woman looking for simple, honest prayers that easily fit circumstances we continue to face as adults.

Teenage years are very hard for all humans. I had a hard time as a girl and know that teenagers struggle.

Being deeply rooted in our faiths can help us get through. This book is a Christian devotional. All the paragraphs are based on scripture with scripture being at the beginning. The topics vary from friendship to faith to self love. Self love was the hardest hitting one. Sometimes it is nice to hear from others that are not family.

The biggest downside however to this devotional is that its all jumbled. The content is great but it is jumbled. As they thought it, they pasted it. It would have been 10x better had it been sorted into categories with an index at the beginning. There is a scripture index at the end but that does not necessarily help a reader with topics. The book lacked a sense of organization of thoughts. Many times when reading a devotional or scripture, you usually have a problem that you are seeking answers for and you cannot directly find it in this book.
