If you;re looking for a laugh out loud read this is it! Look no farther. 28 year old virgin looks to his friend to help educate him.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media and the author for the ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a funny and wholesome story. Mia and Ed have been best friends since they started working at the same school. They are each other's support system being the yin and yang. When Mia learns that her cat loving, introvert, not so bad looking best friend is a virgin at 28, she decides there is no hope for her if she doesn't help him. This leads to a hilarious plot of actual Sex education - as inn yes she is going to teach him all about sex - theoretically, practically and with pauses for teaching moments - I snorted out water when this happened the first time - Also can you watch a Star Wars film please?
So many laugh out loud moments and adorable moments with chemistry, biology and more, I adored this book. I would have loved it even more if it was in first person POV. It was such a breathe of fresh air with a woman teaching a man about sex and more importantly in a very teacher like way because p.s. they are teachers.

This was one of the most hilarious books I have read in a long time. I adored it. I was familiar with Kristen Bailey before reading this book because I had picked up her book Five Gold Rings on NetGalley prior to this one (and loved it as well). Bailey has a way of writing a sweet, well-paced romance with a really good sprinkle of humor.
I haven't read many books with the "teach me sex" trope, but when I have, it has almost always been an experienced man teaching a woman, so it was a lovely change to see Ed as the one who needs more experience. Mia is a lovely teacher, giving him an honest review and the right tips to improve his rating.
While the book contains lots of sex (obviously, it is about teaching sex), it's not gratuitous, and all of the sex scenes are a lovely addition to their boding as friends, and as an eventual couple. Overall, I just loved this book and hope others pick it up as well.

This was an interesting audiobook composed of several short stories about people's first sexual experiences. The stories were well done and the narration was good, but with such intimate details I think I would prefer reading it rather than listening to this story. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

I'll be honest, I couldn't get past 10 minutes with this book. I really wanted to like it because the blurb sounded very interesting. But the narration was done in 3rd POV and I just couldn't get past that. If it would've been 1st POV I would've finished it because the beginning was funny.

This was a DNF for me at around 25%. I liked the premise--best friends, both teachers, virgin MMC, sex lessons--but the delivery just didn't work for me. I just wasn't a fan of the writing style. The second-hand embarrassment was just too much. I had also just watched all of Sex Education on Netflix, and I think the comparisons were just too much. I'm 99% sure this is a me problem, not a book problem. It's actually one I may circle back to at another time incase it hits differently the second-time around.
If you like Sophie Kinsella or Beth O'Leary, you may want to give this one a try. It's definitely a rom-COM, if you're looking for a funny romance read.

A laugh out loud, funny romcom debut that features two teacher friends, one of whom is a virgin and his best friend who tries to give him lessons to land the new teacher he has a crush on. I enjoyed this friends to lovers story that was equally heartfelt and a bit naughty. Good on audio and perfect for fans of When Harry met Sally and authors like Sophie Kinsella or Mhairi McFarlane. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

3.5⭐

Audio length ~ 10 hours 21 minutes
Narrator ~ Harrie Dobby
POV ~ dual 1st

Mia & Ed work together as teachers and are best friends. When Mia learns that 28 year old Ed is still a virgin, she decides she's the best person to show him whats what, and in a pretty clinical manner.
I haven't come across too many plots where the male is the virgin, and at 28 at that, so that made this one seem fresh in that sense. He just didn't have a clue about anything. He was a really sweet guy, though.
I enjoyed Mia's wittiness and feisty ways. She's a great instructor, too.
This was definitely a hoot at times. Didn't like the other woman drama with Caitlin and the 3rd act crap was just that, crap ~ hated it. But overall, I had a fun time, but I just wish I read it, more on that next.
Narration notes:
For the love of Pete, why was there only 1 narrator for dual 1st? Especially when one is male and the other is female! Harrie didn't alter her voice really, and even though each chapter was titled with the name it still took me a minute to figure out who was talking. I don't like having to take a minute. Definitely recommend reading, not listening, unless that's not something that would bother you like it did me.

Loved this book. It is however very predictable, as are most of the books in this genre we all love so much. It will never stop us from reading them though. I loved the rawness of the experience they were having and would still recommend the book.
Thank you netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Sex Ed was my first foray into Kristen Bailey but it will not be my last. I enjoyed the romcom storyline and the quirky British humour immensely. As I listened to the audiobook version of this book, my only critique is that I would have preferred two narrative voices as the story is being told from two POVs.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute and quirky story! The narrator was fantastic and I really enjoyed listening. If you are looking for a unique story with British humor, this is for you!
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the ARC!

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

this is my first Bailey book and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed it despite the title and cover. I really do recommend but maybe not a physical copy.

I requested Sex Ed from NetGalley, looking for a light hearted read, as a change of pace from my usual thrillers.
It's one of those books where you read the blurb and you know what you're in for and how it will end. There's come comfort to that and honestly, I got everything I wanted out of the book - I loved the main characters and became so fond of them, that I know I will miss them now I have finished reading. The plot had an intriguing premise - sex lessons between two actual teachers. If you're a fan of the fake dating trope, you will really enjoy this book. I was rooting for Mia and Ed, inside and outside of the bedroom. What was totally unexpected and a brilliant surprise was just how hilarious the audiobook was. I listen to it mainly whilst driving and I howled with laughter pretty much all the way to work and back. Thank you to the author - the miles flew by thanks to the witty writing. I'll definitely be adding your other books to my TBR list. Hats off too the narrator. She is not one I had come across before, but I will be looking out for the narration in future because she totally made this book come to life, with a different voice for every character and total enthusiasm in her narration. Such a pleasure to listen to.
Sex Ed is definitely I book I will be recommending, I have neither laughed so hard, nor been invested in the characters so much, for a long time.
Thank you very much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a change to review an advanced copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

First of all it was very difficult to listen to (and this was audiobook received as ARC from netgalley so I must review it as audiobook first) because it had only one narrator but it was dual POV. This never works for me. Had I known, this was going to be dual POV I honestly wouldn't try to listen to it. So a lot of minus points for that. While the book was quite funny at times and worked for me in the beginning I kept waiting to see when the main characters will fall in love. I kept waiting for that moment they realize they are it for each other or at least the moment when I realize they are it for each other. Never happened. I was so disappointed. I always think, when people in reviews say they didn't feel the chemistry, they didn't believe their story, that they are exaggerating, since it has almost never happened to me. I am first of all VERY gullible so when the author is telling me these two are into each other I am always like HELL YEAH they are, I believe you author! It was not the case here. Honestly they should have stayed best friends (since I do not believe their relationship would actually work out they are complete opposites she's a messy mess and he cannot stand that and neither changed AT ALL throughout the book in this manner) and their actual getting together was so underwhelming and meh. Their sex lessons were also... not it. I needed a lot more. Honestly giving this 3 stars solely for the humor and solid writing. Also loved her sister and her story, I was much more into that but felt like we didn't really need so many side characters when the main characters needed all this time to actually work on their relationship TBH.

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC! This was hilarious - very British humor which is always a delight. Interesting premise and clever execution!

What a cute, unique romance! The main characters were very endearing. I loved both of their quirky personalities and being polar opposites. Very cute!

So many things I didn’t like about this one. Sex Ed follows Ed and Mia. Ed is a 28 year old virgin who watches a bunch of porn (of all varieties), yet is completely clueless to anything related to sex. Puh-lease. Mia decides to help her “best friend” Ed lose his virginity and teach him all about sex. They are officially best of friends, yet Ed seems to REALLY dislike Mia even in his thoughts. No chemistry between. Ed in a relationship with another woman and that doesn’t end because of his feelings for Mia. Anyhoo, lots of things wrong with this book.

Sex Ed is a hilarious, raunchy rom-com that is surprisingly wholesome! I loved Mia and Ed so much and the progression of their relationship. Sometimes friends-to-lovers can be a bit boring to me, but it was done really well here. I definitely plan on looking more into Kristen Bailey's writing!
Thank you Netgalley for providing a digital ARC.

This was a truly funny rom com. I can't count how many times I laughed. I really liked the storyline and how it played out, but I wasn't a fan of the romance at the end i really didn't feel much chemistry between the 2 characters. The audio was told from 2 pov but with one narrator. Maybe I would have felt a bit more between the 2 mc if it had been dual narration. That being said it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the book and if your looking for a rom com with a load of laughs then this is for you.
