Extremely cute story. I loved the amount of detail that went into buildign the story with the party. And what was going on around the characters.

This is one I requested to read a long time ago with my grand daughter who enjoyed it. I would read again if came across it

A very cute little book illustrating the sounds at a birthday party. The illustrations are darling and the story (although there isn’t much of one) is adorable and relatable. Probably best enjoyed by very young children.

Little Crocodile is having a birthday party! There are lots of games and activities - so much to see and do. The author perfectly captures all the excitement and wonder. This is a fun book that kids will enjoy reading again and again.

I wanted to enjoy this. Who doesn't like the idea of birthday parties with cute art? The challenge for me was the content. Had there been a narrative, a lesson, something that helped foster emotional development for the reader, maybe I could've been on board. Unfortunately, the text did not move or inspire me in any way. Yes, I get this is for babies just starting out, but I'd rather flip through a virtually no-word book (Goodnight, Gorilla) than be a bored parent flipping through this.

What a sweet little book with the most precious illustrations! Birthdays are fun, but they are tiresome as well, so I feel little crocodile being tired after.

This series is precious and so perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. This latest book is a must read before birthday parties for these little ones who don't know what to expect. The beautiful illustration and short text will bring smiles to so many little faces!

After reading What Does Little Crocodile Say, I was excited to read this one. It’s such a cute way to incorporate sounds into reading to little ones. A fun description of a birthday party that can lead to lots of fun conversations with your kids!

"What Does Little Crocodile Say At the Birthday Party" is a fantastic picture book for read-a-louds with young kiddos who are learning all about sound and what objects sound like! The book is targeted for toddlers ages 2-5 years old, but this book seems to be best suited for children in a younger age range (1-4). It's less of a storybook and more of a book best for parents with younger children and toddlers who are just starting to read and starting to learn different sounds through simple onomatopoeic words. Overall, it's a great book that shows all the fun things and sounds that happens during birthday parties. Would definitely recommend!

An audibly descriptive birthday party for a young alligator. My children were a little too old for this, the fun of making all the noises described in the book was lost on them. I imagine if my kids were younger, maybe 3/4 years old they would have enjoyed following along. I think this is a great book to read with little kids and to get them to use their ears about the all the fun noises that happen during a birthday party. The book was short and cute, great pictures and fun overall. Would definitely recommend.

This little crocodile is excited on his big day and ready to celebrate his birthday with friends and family. The story's short sentences and focus on “sound” words will capture young children as they enjoy the start of the preparations through to the end of the party. The illustrations are done in colored pencil and chalk pastels welcoming the reader into the festivities yet are detailed and engaging enough for the audience to be visually immersed. This is a sweet tale that the youngest of readers can connect with. Those looking for a more descriptive and heavier narrated storyline may not be satisfied with this story, but can still appreciate little crocodile and celebrate with him.

This was a cute story, and the illustrations are adorable. I was hoping for a bit more story, aimed more at my 4 year old, however I'd say it was aimed at a younger crowd. It was very simple, not much in the sense of plot. I was only disappointed there wasn't more to it. This would be a wonderful story for the Under 3 crowd.

This was a fun book about sounds. It kept my 4 year old very engaged and she enjoyed making and guessing the sounds. Will be adding to our collection.
