This is a delightful picture book for children under five years old!
The story and accompanying illustrations portray getting ready for a home birthday party, going through the motions of the party, and saying goodbye to the guests. The author uses a lot of “sound” words, such as pop, ooo, and whoosh. This will help children with auditory sensory issues be aware of the sounds to expect during a birthday party.
I think this book will be helpful for any young child, but especially those with SPD and/or ASD.
The illustrations are colorful and appropriate to each scene.
I definitely recommend this book!

This book will be pretty fun to read aloud with small children! The different actions and words in the story are so fun, I'm sure the kids will be just as tired at the end as the little crocodiles were! The art was cute too!

A great story for young readers. My children loved the sounds throughout the book. This is a fun one to read a loud. The illustrations are cute and keep little ones engaged.

This story and illustrations are very cute. I love that it provides an opportunity for lots of onomatopoeia! This will help the book be extremely engaging for children in the 1-4 age bracket, especially. I look forward to reading with my toddlers.

My 2 1/2 yo loved the sound words. She kept repeating them and we read through the book a second time right away. It’s definitely approved for toddlers! I really loved the illustrations, too.

This book was so cute and perfect for kids 3 and under. The illustrations were beautiful and fun.
I love the journey from decorating the birthday, to the children arriving and the activities and games played at the party. I also appreciated the manners in the book.

A cute birthday book for all children to enjoy! I will be recommending this book for purchase for circulation at my library. I might be a little biased since my birthday is coming up in a couple of days, but this book made me super excited for my birthday!

A fun book about a birthday party that is a great introduction to onomatopoeia and sounds for young kids around preschool age. I really loved the illustrations and the balloon pop page-turn moment that will build anticipation for young kids waiting for the pop! Some of the text felt a little strange such as the mirror goes me and tag goes you're it, but I think kids will still enjoy this one.

I absolutely loved this little book full of beautiful illustrations and onomatopoeia! It shows a little crocodile getting ready for a birthday party, and then hosting the party.

This book would be great for children learning vocabulary (nouns and verbs!) for birthday parties, playing with sounds, sequencingand sequencing the story. I will buy and use this book with my 3-5 year old students!

My Review of What Does Little Crocodile Say At the Birthday Party?

I really like the crayon/pencil style of illustration they used for this book, along with the use of color backgrounds. The text was easy to read, and the style and typography suited the illustrations.

The story itself was about sounds and how different items and actions have different sounds. I enjoyed the story for the silliness of it all, and my daughter enjoyed it when I exaggerated the different sounds and made them along with me.

This was a cute book that my child enjoyed reading. I think that this book is good for younger children as the sentences are very simple and easy to follow along.

This book was great at being interactive with sounds and keeping the children involved. It also provided a great opportunity to talk about why they were doing those things. They were making decorations, sad their balloon popped, tired etc. The illustrations are pretty minimalistic and allows the story to speak for itself. I would recommend it.

Oh is this book sweet. I loved everything about it. The illustrations, the way the party "sounded" and the yawn at the end. I have to purchase this book, it is just so cute. Loved it

The illustrations are great, but the text is tedious and annoying. The repetition of the word goes really does not work in the line "The mirror goes Me!" I would not purchase this book.
