This book bounces between two different points of view. The protagonists are so similar that with only one narrator on the audiobook, I found it hard to keep track of whose story I was listening to. I would give this book another chance in a different format.

Yay!! The Wife’s Revenge grabbed me right from the start! I listened to the audio version of this outstanding psychological thriller novel. I loved the British accent of the narrator: Tamsin Kennard.
Deirdre Palmer is now one of my most favorite authors. The twists and turns in the Wife’s Revenge are bound to keep readers intrigued.

I normally prefer audiobooks but actually think I would have preferred reading this one. I found myself losing interest throughout the book despite how interesting the plot seemed. I was initially drawn in but thought the middle of the book was a bit drawn out and tedious. The ending was very exciting though and I think it did save the book. I think this had a lot of potential but didn't quite deliver the way I was expecting. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of "The Wife's Revenge" by Deirdre Palmer. This book stands out as an exemplary work in the thriller genre, captivating me from start to finish with its meticulously crafted plot and richly developed characters.
Deirdre Palmer's skill in storytelling shines through in this novel. The plot is ingeniously structured, offering just enough plausibility to keep the reader guessing without revealing too much too soon. This balance makes the story both intriguing and believable, a rare feat in the realm of thrillers.
The characters in "The Wife's Revenge" are particularly noteworthy. Each character is distinct and well-developed, avoiding the common pitfall of falling into predictable tropes and clichés. This freshness in character development adds a significant depth to the narrative, making the story even more engaging.
One of the most striking aspects of this book is its setting. Palmer has a gift for creating an atmosphere that not only supports but enhances the story. The setting is more than just a backdrop; it plays a crucial role in the unfolding of the plot. As a reader, I found myself constantly challenged to reassess my assumptions and expectations, a testament to Palmer's skill in weaving a complex and unpredictable narrative.
"The Wife's Revenge" is undeniably a page-turner. The pacing is perfect, keeping the suspense high and the reader thoroughly engaged throughout. This book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good thriller that doesn't just entertain but also immerses you in a well-thought-out and expertly executed story.
In conclusion, I highly recommend "The Wife's Revenge" to fans of the thriller genre. Deirdre Palmer has delivered a novel that is not only thrilling but also smart and refreshingly original. It's a book that stays with you long after the last page is turned, and I eagerly look forward to more from this talented author.

Tell a lie once, and all your truths begin to crumble one by one…
Fran made the biggest mistake of her life when she had an affair with Ben.
Meanwhile, Ben and his wife Tessa seem stronger than ever, though Fran knows that things aren't always as they appear or are they?
When Tessa begins trying to get closer to Fran, she’s scared – scared of what Tessa might do, of what she might lose.
A woman's scorned.
How long will you finally snap when your husband keeps cheating on you?
The story was slow at first but turns out to be fast paced with each new page worth turning. A few twist and turns and a good ending.
I'll definitely read more books by this author.
Thanks NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for this Audiobook.

This story moved a bit slow for me and gave a lot of every day details about the lives of each women, that didn’t have a lot to do with the story line. Overall I enjoyed this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my advance reader copy in exchange for my honest feedback.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, Storm Publishing for an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.
Busy mom of three, Fran, had a mishap in her marriage, she had a brief affair with the father of her daughters friend, Ben. She was feeling unseen and overwhelmed after her daughters spectrum diagnosis and Ben offered her a respite but her guilt and love for her husband quickly made her end things. She has actively tried to avoid Ben's controlling wife Tessa which has been hard to do in a tiny village and when your daughters are best friends. Odd things have begun to happen to Fran... a chili laced cupcake, anonymous flowers, a threat to her career but is Tessa the one behind it? Likely.
Tessa has always loved Ben and will never let him go, for his own good and hers. She must watch his behaviors and make sure Fran will not destroy Tessa's happy family. Small pranks are fun but she is ready to watch Fran squirm for real. "Tell your husband what you did or I will".
This was a fun domestic thriller with a few twists, not so much on the ending. The game of cat and mouse between Tessa and Fran is enjoyable and keeps the story humming along, especially because the affair takes up very little of the novel itself. I liked most of the characters and enjoyed the dual POV from the main characters. This was my first novel by Deirdre Palmer but I would be interested in more of her work.
I had the audio version read by Tamsin Kennard who I enjoy very much. Her pace is easy and I enjoy listening to her. The two voices were similar so occasionally I wasn't sure who was speaking. I definitely recommend audio books read by her.

A bit unrealistic and a tad slow. I’m glad I only listened to this on a long drive vs. using my precious reading time. Thank you for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

The Wife's Revenge by Deirdre Palmer Narrated by Tamsin Kennard was an unputdownable psychological thriller which was full of shocking twists and turns. I loved it from start to finish it.
Tell a lie, just a small one and all your truths will begin to crumble all around you one by one! Fran made her biggest mistake of her life and had an affair with Ben. The worst part of it all Both Fran and Ben families live in a small, tight-knit town of Oakheart, their daughters are the best of friends.
But the relationship is over, sadly her guilt haunts her every waking moment of every day!. She tries to push it down, but it's always there, simmering just beneath the surface. Fran has managed to keep the truth hidden from her husband. But this secret is eating her up and we all know secrets will come out in the end! so far. The cracks in their marriage are starting to show. Ben and his wife Tessa seem stronger than ever, though Fran knows that things aren't always as they appear. Tessa is trying to get closer to Fran, but, she’s scared – scared of what Tessa might do, of what she might lose. If this secret gets out she will loose everything!
A cliff overlooking the disused chalk pit on the outskirts of town, which is a place of secrets. A woman, tragically died there, years ago, a woman who – Fran is shocked to discover – had a connection to Ben. The more she digs, the more she realises that the people around her aren’t who she thought they were at all.
The truth is out there, somewhere….......but is Fran brave enough to face it? WoW this audiobook was so good
Tamsin was excellent for this audiobook and did a wonderful job throughout.

Thoroughly good romp through the mysterious world of premeditated revenge and repercussions - a great read and the narrator was spot on! excellent story!

I enjoyed this book! It had good twists and I liked how unique it was. This was a entertaining book and I would recommend it. Special Thank You to Dierdre Palmer, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for allowing me to listen to a complimentary copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first time for me trying something by this author, and I think I would definitely like to read more of her work. I really enjoy psychological/domestic thrillers, and this one was really well done. A story of a women scorned and betrayed by her husband and set on revenge, or more like removing the threat to her family. Fran made the mistake of having an affair with Ben, and now his wife, Tessa, will do everything she can to eliminate Fran from their lives. Though the plot is quite obvious, the journey to the end of the story is full of twists and turns which made for a gripping storyline and I was completely absorbed in the story. I received this as an audiobook and the narration was done well, bringing the story and characters to life. If you are looking for an engaging thriller you can become immersed in, then you should definitely give this a try!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for providing a complimentary. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This one was a bit hard to get into, and it took me about half way through the book for me to actually get invested. It had all the right elements for a good thriller: mystery, lies, revenge.
Once I was invested I actually enjoyed the book very much. Note to self: don't cheat. My goodness.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

My thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to review this audio book.
Fran cheats on her husband Hector with her neighbor Ben. Ben's wife Tessa learns of this and revenge follows! But who is the instigator? Not all appears to be what it is
Engaging listen from.both pov s.
Was expecting more, but decent listen.

📚✨ "The Wife's Revenge" Review ✨📚
💔 Intriguing and Complex Relationships 💔 Oakheart Village holds secrets that will leave you questioning everything. Fran's affair with Ben sets the stage for a gripping tale of guilt and consequences. Tessa's determination to protect her marriage brings tension to every page.
🌟 Engaging Audiobook Experience 🌟 Perfect for multitasking during chores, this audiobook kept me entertained throughout! While not a heart-pounding thriller, it delves deep into the characters' troubled pasts, shaping their intriguing personalities.
😬 Flawed but Realistic Characters 😬 None are entirely likable, but that's what makes this story authentic and relatable. "The Wife's Revenge" explores the complexities of human emotions and relationships, leaving you with much to ponder.
🎧🤔 An Absorbing Listen 🎧🤔 Dive into the intricacies of marriage, guilt, and life-altering choices. While it may not be your typical thrill ride, it offers a thought-provoking journey through the depths of human experiences.

The plot of this story is no unusual one: a betrayed woman whi wants revenge. But what made the difference for me is that we get to know both sides!
Fran fell for another woman's man. Tessa is obviously well aware of her husband's behaviour. But what is she going to do about it???
As mentioned before the story is told from both women's POV. I honestly couldn't choose one side!
The ending is all I could have whished for!
Thank you #NetGalley #Dreamscape Media for this audiobook

3.5ish stars
This was a fun read. The ending was satisfying, but not a huge shock. For the most part, I enjoyed the story, and it fits well with the other stories being produced in this genre.

The Wife’s Revenge by Deirdre Palmer. Published July 2023. When a husband goes out to cheat. Why does the wife always make excuses for him, and blame and seek revenge on the other woman?

Thank you NetGalley for this digital free ARC, I did enjoy it. If you like a good thriller, then you should give this one a try. It is full of betrayal, lies, secrets and good old revenge. There’s also a mystery from the past tired in just to keep you wanting to know more. I feel the audio was done wonderfully and enjoyed listening to this ARC immensely. I would recommend this book to all.

Really enjoyed this thriller. In classic domestic thriller fashion, someone is cheating and someone will not tolerate it! Well written and captivating the author spins a very tangled web of deceit. So who really is the enemy?
