Don't even get me started on this book. The writing was terrible, the story made no sense and gosh did it drag. I have heard good things about this author so I will maybe give their other books a try but I would not recommend this book.
While I love a holiday romance, nanny x single dad book this failed to hit the mark for me. I really struggled to get through it, was not engaged with the characters and found the narrative inconsistent that the overall plot. I enjoyed the realistic look into grief and heartbreak at so many various levels of relationships, it just didn’t feel like it all came together for the overall story.
A funny start to a different Christmas book lol .. I totally enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't care for was the ending I thought it could of used an epilogue of sometime in the future

This is a good book. The two main characters are Sutton and Gus. Sutton earned her degree, about six months ago, she went on a tour of several countries. Gus is a divorced dad of twins and runs two businesses. They meet one night when Sutton is drunk and trying to find somewhere to spend the night. Gus invites her in. In the morning, Gus offers her a job of nanny for the twins. She has no money so she takes him up on it. They become close. She gets her a job in London, just a few hours away from Gus and the twins. They fall in love.
A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable. The plot is one that is engaging and I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.
Sutton and Gus are perfection. I love that the grumpy/sunshine situation is reversed here, because it's typically the man that is the grump and the woman the sunshine. I appreciated the refreshing change up!
I don't *LOVE* single dad or any kids involved trope (the childfree need love too damn it) but this was a cute spin!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. #NetGalley.
I adore christmas novels so much!
Had fun and made me miss december so much
Would highly recommend
This is Christmas wrapped up in a book! I can't believe it took me this long to review. I loved the pacing of this book, and felt it left the characters in the right place - with room for imagination about the future. Gus and Sutton's chemistry was both believable and realistic, and had me giggling and kicking my feet!
Will definitely be rereading when Christmas rolls around.
Just a fun and witty rom-com that you can read over the holidays! Once I started it, I couldn't seem to put it down. This Book had me hooked from just the first chapter. I would say that my only criticism would be that I felt that the ending was quite abrupt and I would have wanted to know what happened at the end a little bit more, but other than that I really enjoyed this read. The chemistry between the two main characters was unmatched! I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys...
single dad
small town
feel-good
grumpy x sunshine
strangers to lovers
I really enjoyed this book. It was different than anything else I've read recently. I couldn't put it down! I will keep an eye out for this author's future work!
Although it was obvious they were going to become an item what a giggle along the way,a great absorption into the village you felt like you were part of the community,I do hope there is going to be another book based on community
I really struggled with this book. I found it repetitive and the plot just lacking overall. I did admire how resilient Sutton and Gus were considering everything they had been through but at the same time I felt that Sutton came across a but naive at times as regards Layla. There were a few humorous parts but not enough to safe the book in my opinion.
I loved the idea of this book so I’m upset that it fell so flat for me. I found myself skimming most of the slow parts, and I didn’t have any emotional connection with the characters.
This was a delightful festive read! I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine vibes and the addition of Sutton nannying Gus's kids, added a sweet layer to the heartwarming season. Perfect Hallmark feels.
Absolutely loved this book! The storytelling is captivating, the characters are so well-developed, and the plot kept me hooked from start to finish. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic read!
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
A fascinating festive cheer of a rom com. Grumpy Sunshine you got it! Summer despises Christmas and so when Mr Christmas himself shows up boy does she go on a bender! The perfect escape to curl up with a cup of tea.
