My thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to review this audio book.
Olivia is the new nanny for the Locke family, but she has an agenda, that Iris Locke, mother of her charge figures out. Story flips to Olivia s WHY and a whole lot of revenge is unleashed.
Great story, engaging narrators. Recommend.

Kiersten Modglin never truly disappoints! Her stories are always fast paced, thrilling stories that make you fly through them. The Nanny’s Secret was no different for me. I do wish there would have been some different twists and turns throughout, but it was another quick read!

The narrators, Frankie Corzo, Cassandra Campbell, and Tim Campbell, bring the characters to life with their engaging performances, enhancing the overall listening experience.
At the beginning, the pace may seem a bit slow, but as the story unfolds, it gains momentum and keeps you hooked till the very end. The secrets surrounding the Locke family and their nanny, Olivia, are a captivating web that leaves you eager to discover more with each passing chapter. The shocking twist and unexpected ending make this a must-listen domestic thriller.
A very special thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the complimentary copy.

Actual rating: 3.5 stars rounded up because it was a quick listen that I enjoyed for several days on my commute.
Not the most original title, The Nanny's Secret was a fun mystery to listen to. It didn't require a ton of concentration, and I could see this being a nice book to read to get out of a reading slump. As an audiobook, I felt that the narrator did a good job distinguishing between the characters (especially with the women in the story feeling very similar.) I'm not sure that I would have loved this as a regular book, but it was a nice listen.
Check this one out if you like mysteries, thrillers, and suspenseful books that keep you guessing until the end!

Full cast audiobooks are life! This was amazing. Cassandra Campbell could narrate the phone book and I would listen. However, I also love Kiersten Modglin.
To say I had a good time with this would be an understatement.
The twists are so good. All these people have layers.
More please.

In true Kiersten Modglin fashion, this book hooked me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down!

3.5⭐️ I have mixed feelings on this book. It started out much slower than I’m used to with Modglin’s writing, and I struggled to connect to both the characters and the storyline. However, the second half pulled me in and I really enjoyed the twists (though some were a bit over the top).
I will note that this seems to be a duet with another book from another writer altogether and I cannot help but wonder if some of the holes I was noticing were filled in that book, but honestly do not have a desire to read more of this story. If you are someone who likes quick, popcorn type thrillers and the synopsis of this one grabs you, I’d say give it a try.
Thank you Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

Whoa howdy, but does the nanny ever have a secret. Everyone has a secret. The secrets have secrets! I thought it was going to end one way but that final twist has me like 😱🫢😳
Do yourself a favor and go into this one blind. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you anyway! 😂
*Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audiobook copy for review.

The story kept my interest. At a certain point I figured part of it out but them OMG the ending. Didn’t see that coming. Listened to the audiobook, it was well narrated.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so interesting and it sucked me right in. I could not believe how this book ended and I felt so bad for Mia!! These people were all so messed up and that made the book even more gripping. Kiersten is really becoming a favorite author of mine with how quick and gripping her novels are.

In the book The Nanny's Secret, author Kiersten Modglin follows Olivia Mendes and her new job working for Orrick and Iris Locke, owners of the billion-dollar security company known as Locke Industries, as their sons nanny. But is Olivia really who she says she is? And what secrets are the Locke’s hiding? This is a good fast pace psychological thriller. While I’m not a fan of Romeo and Juliet like endings, I would recommend this book. The audio-book narration was very good especially with the multiple narrators. I received a copy of this audio-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Olivia Mendes, the new nanny for the prestigious Locke family, quickly realizes that beneath their picture-perfect facade lies a web of dark and terrifying secrets. As she delves deeper into their world, Olivia finds herself entangled in a dangerous game of deceit, revenge, and love.
Kiersten Modglin knows how to craft a gripping story, and The Nanny's Secret is no exception. The characters are complex, and the suspense keeps building with each page. The Lockes, with their elusive empire built on lies, are chilling and captivating at the same time. Iris, the cold-hearted and power-hungry woman, is someone you'll love to hate, while the Nanny surprises with her own deviousness.
This psychological thriller will keep you guessing until the very end. Secrets, betrayal, and unexpected twists make it an absolute page-turner. You won't see the final twist coming, and the revelation will leave you stunned. Kiersten Modglin's writing never disappoints, and The Nanny's Secret is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a suspenseful and thrilling ride. I received an ARC of this book, and I'm giving my honest review - trust me, it's a winner!

Wow! Another awesome read by KMod. Seriously…why is she so awesome!?!
So this one took me longer to get into but man oh man, when it got going it really got going. The pacing was much faster for the 2nd half of the book.
There were characters to root for and there were characters that I loved to hate. Just really well done.
I wanted to know more details about what was going on and the bomb at the company though. I guess you don’t really need to know specific details but I wanted to know more about that.
Oh and that ending….I definitely didn’t expect that. The final seconds of this audiobook had me like “no no no. No!” I was hoping maybe there would be an epilogue but nope…it is what it is.
I wasn’t a fan of the male narrator in this one. He was fine but not my fav.
KMod rules and I def recommend checking this one out.

"These people are dangerous but now so am I. Secrets are power."
And there are plenty of twisty secrets in The Nanny's Secret by ultimate thriller author Kiersten Modglin. Olivia just got the nanny job for the powerful couple Orrick and Iris, owners of the billion dollar security company, Locke Industries.
Cleverly told with 3 first person POVs, narrators Frankie Corzo, Cassandra Campbell and the always *chef's kiss* Tim Campbell bring all the tension, as our Nanny realizes this couple has issues; especially with Orrick finding excuses to be alone with her. Then there's the whispers about the missing employee wanted for questioning in the bombing of their offices leaving several dead.
Oh! One more thing, Olivia...ah that's not her real name. Have fun with this Nanny's Secret!
I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review.

Ohh this, this was good! The Nanny’s Secret is a standalone in the Locke Industries Series (fun fact the other book in this series is written by Emerald O’Brien). This story is about Olivia Mendes, the newest nanny to Iris and Orrick Locke’s child John. But with each, Olivia, Iris and Orrick having secrets of their own, the lies are endless.
•
I love a good domestic thriller and this one was hard to put down. I found myself suspicious of everyone and loved trying to figure out everything. The story is pieced together really well, having the secrets being revealed at such a perfect times that you get hooked. I managed to figure out the one major twist, which wasnt too upsetting to me because KMod in her usual fashion threw a gut wrenching twist right at the very end which was literally everything.
•
This one is narrated by Frankie Corzo, Cassandra Campbell and Tim Campbell. While I feel the female roles were played perfectly, I wasn’t a huge fan of Tim Campbell for the role of Orrick, his voice is so deep which, while I think captures the essences of Orrick, it sort of annoyed me to a point? But even still that didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of listening to this one. Like I said, I was hooked on this story.

The Nanny’s Secret was released in 2020 and is available on Kindle Unlimited but this audio was just released on 7/25! To all my KMod fans who have been trying to get through her backlist, this is a great way to do so! Highly recommend this story and audiobook!

The Nanny’s Secret by Kiersten Modglin
Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscapemedia, and @kierstenmodglinauthor for the opportunity to read this #advancedlistenercopy in exchange for my #honestbookreview! This book is available now on #kindleunlimited.
Olivia Mendes has just gained access to one of the most powerful families in security. Orrick and Iris Locke lead a security empire but it’s their own secrets they guard the hardest. The more Olivia infiltrates the family, the more twisted secrets she uncovers. Before long Olivia feels like she’s gotten in over her head with their games. Will Olivia learn a secret that will unravel the Locke empire or will she get burned by their flames?
This was a super intriguing book! I kind of felt like I was in a Bond movie during part of it due to the sleuthing, slight of hands, etc and also Orrick is portrayed as quite the super villain. I loved the twist and really enjoyed the dual timelines. I highly recommend this fast-paced mystery.
TW: infidelity, blackmail, espionage, gaslighting, mass attack, bomb threat
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4/5

The Nanny’s Secret is a psychological thriller, where nanny Olivia Mendes is employed for a billionaire couple who own a high end security company. Whilst the Lockes have plenty of secrets waiting to be discovered, it turns out that the nanny has plenty of her own skeletons in the closet.
*Slight Spoiler*
Considering they own a security company, The Lockes seem to have done zero due diligence on hiring a nanny to look after their only child. Mr Aurick Locke is an awful misogynist, with a god complex and his wife Iris is equally loathsome. Olivia seems to be a sweet and genuine character, so it’s easy to root for her from the start although it really seems that she just took for granted information on her fiancé’s possible death with no investigation whatsoever. Whilst this was an entertaining read I wasn’t that shocked with the various events throughout and the characters seemed very surface level and like caricatures.
(When I first started listening to this I found it oddly familiar and it turns out the start is weirdly similar to a book called Nanny Needed by Georgina Cross.)
The narrators all did a really great job in bringing the personalities of each character alive.

You know those rides that you’ve been on over and over and over again, and even though you know exactly what’s coming, you still enjoy it? That’s exactly what this book was like. Yes, it’s shock full of secrets and lies making it all a bit overdramatic and predictable, but the ride was fun and engaging nevertheless. UNTIL… that last page. The last page made me so very angry. 🤬 An ALC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 stars
Olivia Mendez has come to be the ultra wealthy Locke's family's son's nanny. What she finds within the walls of that home, shocks even her as she herself has a secret she wants to unlock and perhaps a revenge wish deeply hidden within her.
The Locke's own and run a very successful security company. Orrick and Iris seem to be the perfect family, with all the attributes we think make one successful. However, as Olivia learns, it just might be an illusion for what underneath hides a deep insidious nature of these two.
There are some serious twists going on here with the concept that lives have been lost and some other lives might be on the block as well.
I enjoyed listening to this story that kept the action going and the surprises flowing. Definitely appearances can be and are deceiving when secret are held within each character.
Thank you to Kiersten Modglin, Dreamscape Media, narrated by Frankie Corzo; Cassandra Campbell; Tim Campbell and NetGalley for the ability to listen to this story which has just become available.
