A thrilling adventure inspired by true events, _The Siberia Job_ charts a course through one of the most dramatic periods in recent Russian history, the impact of which continues to be felt to the present day.

After the demise of the Soviet Union, the newly established Russian government privatises its industry by issuing vouchers to all of its citizens, allowing them the chance to be shareholders in the country's burgeoning businesses. The slips are distributed among the population and auctions are arranged where they can be exchanged for actual shares.

This is a wonderfully written book. Based on actual events it reminds me of a book I read some years ago called “Vodka” which dealt with a Russia the outside world never sees. It’s also full of historical facts but it’s not boring, the facts add to the authenticity of the story. It’s a great story with a terrific ending.
