I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this book. I unfortunately didn’t get to read it in the time slotted but the description of the books had me wanting to read it. I purchased this book so I would have the opportunity to do so. I’m so glad I did! It was a refreshing look at later in life dating. Both stories of the brothers were great in their own way. Their stories were about navigating through life with past relationships and grown children and grandchildren and finding their own happiness. Although it was about the brothers both of the women they formed a relationship with had also their own stories of changing with age and accepting and embracing it. I truly enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to the upcoming books of their friends stories. Thank you again for the ARC I’m sad I didn’t get to it in time but I’m happy to have this book to add to my shelf!

If you are one of those hopeless romantics who believes in a second chance in love, then this is the book for you.

This is the story about two brothers Kellen and Michael who have single handedly brought up their kids. In the process they have given up on the idea of finding love or companionship. However, when they do get a second chance at love, they do grab it though with some fear and trepidation. The romance is beautiful, mature and steamy at times.

However the book also deals with some sensitive issues like Autism and ADHD. You get to learn a lot about this in the book. Also you get to meet the fun loving, boisterous Brady Family who are closely knit and have no problem welcoming others into their circle.

The author also writes about some dysfunctional relationships and how these can be improved with some patience and lots of repentance.

All in all a good book.

We need more, more, more mature romance books out there. So I was thrilled to read MELTING SILVER by Lainey Davis.

The book is divided into two couples' stories - Kellen and Elizabeth and Mick and Celeste. All older characters with kids, divorce, death and tons of baggage and that was ... a good thing.

The stories also dealt with issues that can come along, ahem, as people get older and want to be "intimate" with someone. These were open-door romance stories and I thought the author handled the details well.

My only issue with MELTING SILVER is a character in each of the two stories had mental challenges and those often pushed everything else to the back seat. The characters overcoming those challenges were important, but the romance aspect would get lost at times.

Thank you to NetGalley and Author Collective 20 for providing me an e-copy of MELTING SILVER to review.

I rate MELTING SILVER four out of five stars.

I was looking forward to a mature couple romance. Certainly found it in this duo. I have to admit though that I enjoyed Kellen story more.

Melting Silver by Lainey Davis. When kellen and Elizabeth, two high school sweethearts, meet again. Can they find romance -of course But I really didn’t like either one to care. The other story mick and Celeste were trying to restore love.
