A Boy’s Amish Christmas

We are back at the Butternut Amish B&B in A Boy’s Amish Christmas by author Patricia Johns.
Brett Rockwell and his young nephew are snowed in at Belinda’s (a gem of a character!) B&B. Brett doesn’t mind…to him it will be a peaceful time. Another guest is travel blogger Emaline Piper. They get along just fine, but when Emaline finds out Brett is part of a well-known political family, her desire to go from blogger to investigative journalist takes over. And how does his nephew fit into the story? Which shuts Brett down. Will their budding friendship have a chance to bloom into something more? You’ll want to find out in A Boy’s Amish Christmas!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.

I and no stranger to the writing of Patricia Johns and she did not disappoint. The whole book kept me engaged and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I not only enjoyed the storyline with Emaline and Brett, but Belinda and Eli did not disappoint.
Many thanks for the author and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. My options are my own.

This is a Clean Cute Romance, and this is the third book in the Butternut Amish B & B series. I have read the first two books in this series before picking up this book. I loved all the characters in this book, and the animals in this book made me laugh so many times. There is a little boy with Autism in this book, and that little boy touched my heart so much. This was a sweet heart touching romance, and I really loved reading this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

I have always loved reading books about the Amish as I grew up not far from an Amish Community. We would often see them in their buggies and I always thought how cool it would be to live as one. But since I am not and I know that it would be difficult to become one, reading books always gives me such a happy heart. This book was not like any of the others that I have read and has quickly become a favorite for me. I read this book twice and I plan on adding it to my collection of books this holiday season. Definitely a good book to read and not able to put down. I highly recommend reading this holiday season!

Brett is spending Christmas with his young, autistic nephew. During their travels, Brett and his nephew become snowed in at a bed and breakfast. Emaline Piper is also snowed in; she is an investigative journalist and suspects a story about Brett's political family. Reporting this story could jumpstart her career. When Brett slips and shares a secret, it could ruin Brett's family.

Although the story does take place in Amish country, the story centers around an English family.

A Boy’s Amish Christmas is the third book in the Butternut Amish B & B series by Patricia Johns. We have a politician’s little son and his uncle caught up in a snowstorm along with an up and coming journalist who has a chance for a boost in her career. I also enjoy Patricia Johns books and her exceptional gift for writing is amazing. You will love this book and characters for sure.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All words are my own.

*****I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This is a sweet romance story. However, it was 75% romance and only 25% Amish. That was disappointing to me. I really enjoyed the Amish portions. The donkey was hilarious!!!! The rest of the story was sweet but not Amish. A decent read overall.

A Boy's Amish Christmas by Patricia Johns, book three in the Amish Butternut B&B series, where there is a major snowstorm, two Englishers, the nephew of one, owner Belinda, and neighbor Eli. Emaline Pipe, a travel vlogger, is staying at the B&B, exploring the town and Amish customs. Brett Rockwell and his young nephew are heading to Brett’s ranch when a fierce snowstorm makes travel dangerous. Being close to the B&B, they decide to stop for the night. Emaline and Brett come from different backgrounds: while Emaline has dreamed of being an investigative reporter, Brett prefers to avoid the press. When Emaline learns that Brett is from the famous political family of the Rockwells, she begins to see the possibility to further her future as a journalist. As they become closer friends, she is sure there are secrets that he is hiding and explores what they might be. What she finds affects his young nephew. Friendships, surprising revelations, families reunited, and longtime loves all play a part in this book. I enjoyed it very much and highly recommend A Boy's Amish Christmas to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Book 3 in the Butternut Amish B&B series can be read as a stand alone but do read books 1 and 2 as they are equally as delightful and will help you understand a few things in this story.

I love the Butternut Amish B&B and would love to stay there. Who wouldn’t enjoy wonderful people, delicious food, and a crazy donkey.

Brett and Emaline are complete opposites. But what’s that saying about attracting? And of course there is our B&B hostess and her rascally neighbor. This book is chock full of people trying to ignore their feelings. And then there is Brett’s special needs nephew who is just the sweetest boy…and very much needs to stick to plans and schedules. But blizzards don’t care about that.

I loved watching each one finally becoming honest about secrets, their past, and their hearts desires. I highly recommend A Boy’s Amish Christmas.

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

A Boy’s Amish Christmas by Patricia Johns takes us back to the Butternut Bed and Breakfast. I just love Belinda who owns the B&B and her neighbor, Eli. Eeyore, Belinda’s donkey, is a master escape artist. He provides many amusing moments and some touching ones as well. We get to meet Brett Rockwell and his nephew who are heading to Brett’s ranch plus Emaline Pipe, a travel vlogger, who is staying at the B&B. Emaline and Brett come from dissimilar backgrounds. While Emaline has dreamed of being an investigative reporter, Brett prefers to avoid the press. Time at a cozy bed and breakfast during a snowstorm will allow them to get to know each other. It helps that there are limited modern world distractions (no electricity). Their path will not be a smooth one. All relationships have their ups and downs. If you have love, trust, communication, and faith, you can overcome anything. Eli has loved Belinda since they were teenagers. He has made changes to his lifestyle (the chickens no longer reside in the dining room). It is obvious to Brett and Emaline that the two care for each other. The question is whether Belinda is ready to open her heart to Eli. I have been eager to see if Belinda would let Eli out of the friendzone. I was dismayed that the resolution was pushed into the background. I like that Amish Christmas traditions were included. A Boy’s Amish Christmas is the third book in The Butternut Amish B&B series. This story can be read on its own if you are new to the series, but I do recommend reading all the books in this charming series. I enjoyed A Boy’s Amish Christmas, and I was sorry when the story came to an end. A Boy’s Amish Christmas is a heartwarming tale with a severe snowstorm, an escaped Eeyore, an earphone wearing nephew, a family mystery, a longtime love, reporter roots, kitchen cleaning, and a cold Christmas.

Just finished this sweet and delightful read!
I took my time because I wanted to savor this novel. So very good!
Well written with wonderful characters like sweet Damien whom I fell in love with immediately! He's such a cute kid. I loved it that he was adopted just like me so I connected with him that way.
My two favorite people are still Belinda and Eli. They make me smile and laugh in every way they could. I just wished they'd get married already! They'd be an adorable couple.
I liked that this story shows love wins no matter what. Live is powerful and emotional and its also hurtful.
A journey of life's lessons and love does endure if you only let it.
A feel good story to help you get in the Christmas season.
5 stars for a job well done! I look forward to more!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Amish versus English, versus English versus winter weather. This is a delightful book centered around two Englishers, the nephew of one, and an Amish Bed and Breakfast.

Brett Rockwell, his young nephew, and journalist Emaline Piper become stuck in a snowstorm and end up having to spend a couple of days in an Amish Bed and Breakfast. When Emaline learns that Brett is from the famous political family of the Rockwells, she begins to see a possible step to further her future as a journalist. As they become closer friends, she is sure there are secrets that he is hiding and starts to delve into finding out what these are, which she soon learns also includes his young nephew.

How will this knowledge affect their new-found friendship?

The delightful B & B owner and her neighbor help the Englishers learn and understand about the Amish way of life, including a wayward donkey in the kitchen.

Friendships, surprising revelations, families reunited, and longtime loves all play a part in this book. I enjoyed it very much and recommend it to readers of Holiday romances.

I received a complimentary copy of the book and the opinions expressed are my own.

Heartwarming

Emaline and Brett have something in common: family. However, that's as far as the commonality goes. While their family experiences are as different as night and day, those experiences are what drives each of them. Their past experiences also play into their interactions and blossoming friendship which is helped along by a sweet little boy, two well-meaning friends, and a very naughty donkey.

Author Patricia Johns has flawlessly woven together a beautiful story of two unlikely people coming together against all odds. Their journey isn't always smooth as it has its ups and downs. It tests the bonds of family loyalty and love that is sometimes painful and sometimes heartwarming. That special combination makes it well worth the read.

Thank you to Harlequin Heartwarming for providing me with an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. All comments and opinions are voluntary and completely my own.

It has been privileged to read A Boy’s Amish Christmas, book 3 of The Butternut Amish B&B.

Again Ms. Johns takes us to the Amish country side where Brett Rockwell and his nephew, Damian, finds himself snow bound with a pretty booger, Emaline. Belinda the innkeeper and Eli , her lifelong friend and neighbor are both an important part of the story. And who could forget Eeyore, The escape artist donkey. He is there too. The character development is delightful.

In her special way of telling a story, Ms. Johns Allows the story to unfold smoothly as it transitions from one seam to the next.

I cannot say enough good things about this delightful book. You will want to add it to your Christmas readings list.

Thank you HARLEQUIN - Romance for allowing me to read an advance copy of this entertaining book. All views expressed are my own.

A very touching storyline. I could easily imagine the visitors getting snowed in while they made the best of the situation.
Taking care of the animals and each other made this a sweet story, although there were some tense moments between some of the characters.
Filled with love and loyalty this is a heartwarming book.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this novel.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. Opinions are my own.

Emaline is looking for a story that will catapult her to a journalist career. Brett is a man with a secret that could provide Emaline with that story. They both find themselves snowed in with Brett's nephew at an Amish bed and breakfast. Lovely story
