This was a fantastic romance. I liked the plot and the characters were a lot of fun. Very much recommend this book.
This is a stay-up all-night and read for sure. I forgot how much I enjoy these suspense romances. Loved it!
This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Texas Crime Scene Cleaners series. This book is action packed with a ton of suspense with a little romance mixed into it. There are so many twists and turns which I did not see most of them coming. This book kept me guessing and wanting to keep reading. I really enjoyed this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
This is my first from this author, I am now a fan. I am not sure if this is the beginning of a series or just a stand alone. It would make a great series as I would love to hear more about the Spencer family. Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell has a hard time trusting anyone and when her job takes her into some high ranking circles will she be able to fully trust the Spencer family? Stone Spencer is not sure what to do to prove he and his family is trustworthy. When Emily and Spencer must rely on each other, that is when things really start to heat up. This book is full of twist and turns, family, romance and so much more. If it is a series I look forward to reading more. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
Crime Scene Conspiracy is the first in a brand new series by Jessica R. Patch. It is about a Texas Ranger and a crime scene cleaner partnering together to find out who is killing people and making them look like accidents or suicides. As they seem to get closer to finding the person responsible there are more victims and attempts on their own lives as well. Will they be able to find out who the serial killer is before it is too late? Read Crime Scene Conspiracy to find out.
I really liked reading this story and getting to know the two main characters and the whole Spencer clan, and can’t wait for more. I recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for the perfect combination of a clean romance, mystery, and faith.
Jessica Patch writes such amazing suspense books and I am never disappointed. I enjoyed this first book in the series and will be on the lookout for book number two.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All words are my own.
Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R. Patch is the debut of Texas Crime Scene Cleaners. I enjoyed meeting Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell and crime scene cleaner, Stone Spencer. We also get to meet Stone’s brothers who work with him as well as his mother. Emily is strong and smart. She is also determined to get answers. Stone has the same qualities as well as loyalty to his family. You can feel the chemistry between the pair. The mystery is complex and suspenseful. I enjoyed all the action that kept things lively. Stone and his brothers have talents as well as connections that can help Emily solve the case. They will need to work quickly if they are going to stay a step ahead of the bad guys. Someone is determined to eliminate Emily and soon Stone is included. You wonder who the killer target will next. There are plenty of twists and turns. The case keeps you guessing. Crime Scene Conspiracy will have you staying up late to discover who is behind the killings. I am eager for the next book in the Texas Crime Scene Cleaners series. Crime Scene Conspiracy is brisk paced story with mysterious demises, gubernatorial person of interest, a flaming fire, obliging brothers, trust issues, a slew of suspects, a rare attraction, and a stubborn killer.
Crime Scene Conspiracy is the perfect blend of suspense and romance. Stone Spencer is a former Texas Ranger who started a crime scene cleaning business with his brothers. Emily O'Connell is a Texas Ranger on a covert mission. She suspects that a string of deaths, including Stone's sister, might be the work of a murderer but made to look like accidents/suicide. Stone joins the investigation, but someone wants to silence them both.
This book is one of my new favorites! It has suspense with every flip of the page, but Emily gets introduced to the Spencer family. She'd initially blown off Stone's advances, but spending time at his ranch thaws her heart towards him. I love Stones' brothers - Rhode and Bridge. I am so excited that this will be a series. I assume the brothers will have their own stories and the author has set them up nicely. I can't wait for more.
This story will intrigue suspense fans with plot twists and heart-warming characters. This is high up on my Must Read list!
I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This was a fast-paced crime novel full of action with a plot that kept me guessing until the very end. I was a bit surprised at the high (and I mean HIGH) body count in the book, and the constant near-misses Emily and Stone endure pushed the boundaries of believability. While this book could've benefited from another sweep of the editor's brush, I appreciated the varied cast of characters and the tight-knit family group the Spencers portrayed. For me, Crime Scene Conspiracy didn't knock it out of the park, but this book is receiving some great reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, showing it's hitting the mark with many other readers.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book to review. All opinions are my own.
A great start to a new series! This one had so much heart even with figuring out what was happening to these women. I did not figure it out until it was revealed (which does not happen often!) Highly recommend!

Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R. Patch
Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R. Patch Book 1 of 1: Texas Crime Scene Cleaners Too many mysterious deaths. Not enough clues. A string of staged deaths forces Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell on a covert mission to investigate a governor’s connection to the deceased women. She doesn’t trust anyone—including crime scene cleaner Stone Spencer. But when Emily’s questioning makes her the serial killer’s next target, she must turn to ex-ranger Stone for help. With threats at every turn, outrunning a merciless villain could be the last thing they do. This is Emily O’Connell and Stone Spencer's story. Emily, and the team are on the hunt for this serial killer before he strikes again. “I didn’t wear my uniform for discretion.” She held up her badge. “You can call my supervisor if you’d like. I’m not a reporter trying to be sneaky.” Stone stepped into the door frame of the salon—hazmat suit and a scowl pulling his eyebrows together. Stone was the most irritated at being interrupted. At first, he didn’t seem to recognize her, then it hit him and his sharp green eyes narrowed. “Emily? Out!” He pointed for her to exit the way she entered. If you like love inspired suspense you will love this book. I recommend this book. Crime Scene Conspiracy by Jessica R. Patch is 4 star book. I am looking forward to reading more books by Jessica R. Patch. I received a complimentary copy of the book and was under no obligation to post a review.
Brace Yourself For A Wild Ride
I love when I find an author I can count on to bring me a book that thoroughly keeps me entertained, engaged and guessing to the end.
This story touches on big family dynamics and trust issues. Faith is woven into the story. I loved the banter between Emily and Stone. I’m wondering who the next book will be focused on! I hope it is Sissy.
I look forward to reading more books in this series as well as any other book Jessica R Patch puts out!
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the Author and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.
I am intrigued about this new series published by Harlequin in the Love Inspired line. Crime Scene Cleaners is a business owned and operated by the Spencer family. They specialize in physically cleaning, and the sterilization of, crime scenes in particular. The business is an Aftermath, Recovery and Trauma service.
Texas Ranger, Emily O'Connell, of the Public Integrity Unit works cases against public officials and state employees who have broken the law. A professional investigator, she has trust issues that could cause problems in her professional and personal life. She isn't thrilled to find that former Texas Ranger Stone Spencer is on scene at the newest death site. Something isn't right and she is trying to figure out what is going on and if more than one death has an association with a high official in state government.
I received a copy of this book by Jessica Patch from the publisher through NetGalley. This is my own personal opinion about it. It was very interesting to me. I had previously learned a little about the absolutely intense scene cleaning services offered around the country. It's sad that such a need exists but what a gift to families of victims of tragic deaths. The author handled it very well. This is not a graphic portion of the story. I liked the Spencer family right away. This is going to be an excellent series for anyone who has an interest in crime stories. Emily and Stone are two interesting characters. I like them.
The story is suspenseful and the 'who dun it' was a surprise. Very well crafted for sure. I really look forward to the rest of the series.
Emily is a Texas Ranger trying to find the connection between a few murders that seemly are connected but how? She isn't about to trust just about anyone especially since Stone seems to might know or might know someone who is connected to it. But she's willing to try to trust him and get his help on the case before more bodies start piling up.
Overall is you like a good mystery suspense type of book you'll like this book. There was some faith based stuff thrown in here and here but wasn't over the top. There was a bit of romance between the two and remained a clean book which I appreciate but then again being there very might well be a connection between stone or someone he knows might be connected I would think Emily would prefer that bit of distance when it comes to that. I liked following along as they worked on the case and how it got to that point in the end. This was a pretty enjoyable book and its set during the holidays so would be a nice time to start reading this.
Crime Scene Conspiracy is a well written romantic suspense. The plot is a real edge of your seat page turner. Jessica R. Patch has written another fantastic book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my advance copy. This is my unbiased review.
Title: Crime Scene Conspiracy
Author: Jessica R Patch
Ch: 16
Pg: 224
Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense
Rating: 4.5 stars
Publisher: love inspired suspense
The first time I read Jessica Patch was with A Cry in the Dark and that book gave me nightmares. The book is no worse than a Criminal Minds episode which is my comfort show. But the setting of A Cry in the dark hit too close to home. But that aside I loved the book and had me hooked on Jessica’s writing.
So I knew I had to jump at a chance to Crime Scene Conspiracy. I loved the Texas setting and Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell. And crime scene clean up guy Stone Spencer was pretty cool too. While I read this one in September it’s actually a suspense set at Christmas. I loved the banter between Stone and Emily. As well as him accepting Emily for the strong and confident woman she is heck I think it makes him love her more. And just like Jessica’s previous suspense books the book has more suspense than romance which I love.
I received a copy of this book from the author I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Crime Scene Conspiracy is a fast paced suspense story with some romance on the side. I enjoy Jessica R. Patch’s Love Inspired Suspense. Emily and Stone investigate a series of deaths that appear to be accidents but aren’t. From near the beginning some one is trying to end their investigation in a permanent way. I was surprised by the ending.
The trust issues Emily was having negatively impacted both the investigation and her budding relationship with Stone.
I have to comment on the brothers names - Stone, Rhode and Bridge. I think they’ll each get their own stories in this new Love Inspired Suspense series.
I enjoyed reading Crime Scene Conspiracy and I think you will too.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunities to read this book.
Texas Ranger Emily O'Connell struggles with trust issues, but when her own life is threatened she must rely on Stone Spencer's acumen as an ex-ranger to help her evade a serial killer.
Crime Scene Conspiracy has compelling characters and plenty of danger along with a surprise ending. Those who enjoy clean suspense novels will appreciate Jessica R. Patch's newest novel and find it difficult to put down.
I love reading books by this outstanding author! Here, the suspense starts with Emily, a smart and savvy Texas Ranger. She runs into crime scene cleaner Stone at a place where a suicide occurs. Or is it murder? Danger follows Emily, and Stone is there to assist. The danger and mystery escalate! Prayers increase, too. Emily realizes '" We've got a web that is woven with so many secrets and lies, we may never get it untangled."' I read this book in one day just because I didn't want to put it down! I also thought about a statement about how often God might answer prayers through pain, and what all that can mean! That is profound.
I very much appreciate the publishers allowing me to read this advanced copy of the book. The thoughts expressed are my own.
"Crime Scene Conspiracy" was another great thriller by Jessica Patch! This author never fails to disappoint! Her books get your attention from the first until the last page. I loved the main characters, Stone and Emily, and their chemistry together. As soon as I thought I had the mystery figured out, there was a twist. I highly recommend this book. This is a good, clean, mystery.
