This was such a cute small town romance! II really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect of the book. It helped a lot with the banter and the chemistry the MCs had. If you are looking for an easy and quick read this is your book.

I had to DNF this book as it was too over the top for me. I couldn't get into the story, and wasn't motivated to keep reading.

Love to Hate You - Camilla Isley

I am very late to the Camilla Isley party but I can say that I will be returning. This was a very easy read, and flowed really well. I liked the chemistry between Samantha and Travis, and enjoyed their story unfolding. Samantha is a city girl through and through and seeing her in this setting was very humorous. Thanks so much Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this e-arc in return for me honest thoughts and opinions.

The story was cute, the Indiana references were sub-par. Once I told my brain to pretend they weren’t in Indiana, I really liked this story. It was cute, small town romance fare - local boy falls for city girl. Would make a really great Hallmark movie.

A classic big city girl meets small town man book but well written. Travis was such a fun character with Hidli the goat coming a close second for me. It was hard to like Sam at first due to her attitude but I can also somewhat understand why she would feel the way she did. Seeing Samantha trying to adjust to temporary life in Indiana, when she is used to the hustle and bustle of New York was well written and made you feel part of the story. The end did however feel rushed to me personally. I do not usually read fade to black stories but gave this one a try.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Samantha and Travis. Samantha works for movie studios. Travis is the mayor and a lawyer. Samantha comes to Travis’ town to produce a movie. There is an instant attraction. They bicker a lot till they kiss. They start dating. They are on a time crunch when Samantha leaves town. They come up with an idea that will permanently move Samantha to Travis’ town. They fall in love.

This cover is FIRE and would have drawn me in on its own if I didn't already know I wanted it since it's Camilla Isley. I love all her books and this one definitely did not disappoint!

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for the opportunity to receive an ARC of Love To Hate You by Camilla Isley.

I loved this cute little small town romance. It was done so well as to not seem too cheesy and just felt like pure, quick entertainment. It was giving Hannah Montana movie and I liveeeee for that.

It's very rare for me to say this but I actually think this book could have been longer! I felt like the enemies to lovers vibe just turned way too quickly, and it wasn't so believable because it literally shifted so fast it gave me some trope whiplash.

Regardless of the strange pacing, I still really enjoyed this story and would recommend it!

4 stars!

In this delightful romance, New Yorker Samantha Baker faces an unwelcome assignment in small-town Indiana to resolve issues on a rom-com set. Despite initial clashes with cowboy Travis Hunt, sparks fly between them. Samantha's city attitude and Travis's rural charm create a dynamic enemies-to-lovers trope, revealing their surprising compatibility. The characters, Samantha's feisty independence and Travis's versatility, contribute to the story's charm. The predictable yet enjoyable plot unfolds with teasing and tormenting between the protagonists, adding spice to the narrative. The reader experiences the fun of anticipating events before the characters do, creating a satisfying and heartwarming romantic tale. The book successfully combines elements of romance, humor, and character development, making it a recommended read for those seeking a feel-good love story with a touch of spice.

Sam was a city girl through and through, until she wasn't. Well that's not exactly true... she still loved the city, but she grew to love the hearts she encountered in this backwoods little town in nowhere Indiana. The fresh air, and room to spare, didn't do much for her, but the horned little farm helper, and their Fluffy companion driveline stole hearts, along with a particular man that wore many hats...

Travis was a small town life man through and through only he wasn't once upon a time. He had a past that had him in the city, but that past also held hardship and heartache that he doesn't wish to fall into again. Good thing he's enemy number one to Sam reaching her professional goals, so there's no chance his heart will become part of the equation. Right? I mean, there's only so far a great pair of legs, a killer figure, a brilliant mind, and a kind heart will get you...but then again the fact that he notices all of this and loves antagonizing the woman it's all a part of, he's in trouble.

Together they shouldn't work, but the sparks that fly when they are could start their own wildfire if left to burn unchecked. Good thing they are both too responsible to let that happen, so whatever it takes to gain control...a hot moment kiss, a roll in the hay (quite literally), a night under the stars... is something they are totally in support of. For the good of the town, the movie production, the...oh heck, for their own hearts!

A great romcom escape for fans of the genre, and a wonderful way for new readers to discover an author who oblivious loves her work.

I wasn't expecting this book to be closed-door and I really dislike when books do that. I wish there had been a disclaimer in the description somewhere. However, the plot was good and so was the tension between the two love interests. I'm from Indiana, so it was fun to read a book also set in Indiana.

This book embarks readers on a charming journey of self-discovery and love's boundless magic. Samantha's move from bustling NYC to tranquil Emerald Creek sparks a delightful fish-out-of-water romance with cowboy Travis. Witty exchanges, fiery debates, and undeniable chemistry shape their evolving relationship, while the supporting cast adds charm to Emerald Creek's community spirit. Amid laughter and romantic tension, the narrative explores personal growth and the transformative power of love. Camilla Isley's writing, blending humor and heart, creates a delightful escape into a world where unexpected love blooms. Fade-to-black romance that provides lighthearted fun.

I enjoyed this sweet, simple romance! City to country story. Took a bit to get into, but I ended up enjoying it quite well!

This is a perfect small town, opposites attract, enemies to lovers story.

The banter was perfection, the slow burn so consuming and the chemistry off the charts.

I loved also the cute pets. The entire cast of characters was spectacular...

Highly recommended...

Just finished “Love to Hate You” by Camilla Isley and it was so good! The female lead is Samantha Baker, strong, successful Movie Producer working and living in NYC gets called into her bosses office and told she needs to pack up and move to a small town in Indiana for the foreseeable future as the movie is off the rails and she needs to get it back on track.

She meets Travis Hunt on her way to the AirBnb she’ll call home and she realizes how very much she misses NYC and wants to get this movie back on track quickly.

Travis Hunt turns out to be the Mayor and the main reason for the delay. A simmering sexual attraction begins between these two but they focus on their love/hate bantering.

From here the story goes on some unexpected twists and turns and Samantha is in for the ride of her life!

Do they give in to the sexual attraction? Can they get past the love/hate banter to see what might be?

No spoilers here but it’s a great read! Love, love, loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was beyond excited to read this book. I loved the cover and I have gotten into a cowboy/western Era. But I could not connect with the girl main character all she does is complain. Being from the Midwest there isn't much out there but it's still really pretty even with the country. I hate that she is all about the city and New York. I get that is where she came from but it's like make the most of your new journey in Indiana. With that being said this book wasn't for me since I couldn't connect with the main character. I hope everyone else enjoys it. This review will only be posted on netgalley. Thank you to the author, the publisher, and netgalley for allowing me to read this book as an arc in exchange for my honest review.
