What a magical adventure! I was sucked in from the first chapter! Have you ever wondered how the magic of Christmas works? Read Colfer's book to find out if his interpretation of the magic rings true for you.
I love how both Santa and a young girl cross paths after each have their own tragedies. I love the themes of hope and kindness and determination. Juniper's Christmas is a feel good book that I look forward to having as a part of my family's holidy library every year as it reminds us of some of the most important aspects of humanity; kindness, hope, belief and trust.

Juniper’s Christmas is an absolute delight of a story. I will fully admit, this was another one of my ‘Oh wow, that cover is stunning’ moments when I requested this arc and I’m genuinely happy I did. I had a string of middle of the road reads and I picked this up and what a love shot of Christmas spirit this was!

This follows Juniper who is looking for her Mom who seems to have gone missing. The two have been going through the grieving process for her father who passed away and they seem to have just made it into the light as it were and her Mom vanishes. From there Juniper enlists the help of a friend who lives about the park her mother manages and from there she becomes entangled in Santa magic. The most important part to remember is that Santa has been disillusioned and has stopped being Santa for nearly 10 years now.

The idea of a disillusioned Santa was honestly something I’ve not seen in a book before but Eoin Colfer did it well without making it too much. The story built naturally and I loved how the narrator switched from character to character, and the tone throughout. It was genuinely heartwarming at times and I adored the mechanics of the Santa magic in this world. It’s been a long time since a Santa story really enchanted me the way this one did but I loved it. Truly.

I highly recommend this for my Christmas or Middle Grade fans. I would love to see a sequel or even a movie of this. It was so fun and packed full of the spirit of the holidays for those that enjoy it.

Eoin Colfer brings magic to the season with Juniper’s Christmas, a book that might be this year’s Christmas tale. It starts with dual tragedies as Niko remembers his wife’s last years and Juniper shares her father’s sudden death and her and her mother’s grief. A present sadness is in the air as Juniper and her mother plan their community’s annual vigil for Santa Claus who disappeared a decade before. The book takes a turn for the magical, though, because when Juniper’s mother goes missing, Juniper seeks help from Nico—a man who might be St. Nick.

Juniper’s Christmas has all the action, humor, and Christmas fun everyone wants for the holidays, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs some cheer this season.

Eoin Colfer always has a great writing style for this type of book. I’ve enjoyed how good each story works and that this was a strong Christmas story. The characters felt like they were suppose to and I really enjoyed the message.

I love a Christmas /Santa Story. This one is an energetic and wholesome Santa Claus modern story of restoring Christmas Magic and Spirit to the world with an amazing cover. Brings awareness to the greed of corporation capitalism to focus on the real help people require and so much of our modern society we tend to daily ignore. Brought to us by Eoin Colfer, the author well-known for the Artemis Fowl series.

Juniper's mom is missing and she is desperate for help. Juniper ends up searching for a benefactor among friends in the Park. A grumpy Niko has been taking care of the people in the park who have nothing and need all the help. But this benefactor? a.k.a Santa Claus has lost the Christmas spirit, disappointed with the wishes of children for superficial stuff, and since his wife passed he abandoned his role as Santa. There is more at stake than just finding Juniper's mom. The magic can disappear forever if nothing is done.
Great characters, even the "baddies" add charm, fun, and tension to this story.

Juniper who is a giver and never a quitter takes matters into her hands. She needs to find and save her mom but in doing so she will bring back more than kindness and magic to the world.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this eARC.

Junipers Christmas has all the feels of a good holiday story. I’m a big Eoin Colfer fan already, so I had high expectations for the book. I’m so glad to report that I was not disappointed. I was sucked into the story from the beginning and enjoyed reading to the end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Christmas and the spirit of giving. You don’t have to wait until December to read it!

I received an advance reader copy for free, however all opinions expressed are my own.

What a lovely Christmas adventure! Eoin Colfer has created a great 11 year old heroine in Juniper and her reindeer is adorable. I couldn't see the illustrations in the ARC, but look forward to seeing the actual book as I'm sure they will only add to the magic of this story.

A Christmas adventure like no other featuring a Santa in hiding who has grown sick of his job and the eleven year old girl who wants to find her mom, protect a public park, and save Christmas! Ever since Santa lost his wife he stopped being Santa, in fact he got tired of people constantly demanding things of him while he was forced to be away from his family... so he stopped. Now the world doesn't do have Christmas anymore. Juniper Lane and her mom still celebrate the holiday with a Santa Vigil in Cedar Park in honor of her late father. Yet when her mom suddenly goes missing and the park's bureaucratic director declares the vigil cancelled, so begins Juniper's journey to see if she can get the park's mysterious grumpy woodsman Niko... who accidentally reveals that he is Santa, to help her find her mom. But helping her means using his magic again and coming out of hiding, and it also means that the elves can track him again. Nik refuses to help... but Juniper isn't going to let that stop her from getting what she wants and that means unlocking her own magic and even finding a way to fly the sleigh herself! This was a really fun and sweet adventure, perfect for middlegrade readers and perfect for the holiday time. It's a unique story filled with magic, hope, friendship and so much more. I would definitely recommend it!
