Freida does it again!!! The Locked Door was amazing! From start to finish it held my attention and kept me guessing! And right when I thought I had the ending figured out, nope…I was thrown for a loop! I love that anytime I read a Freida McFadden book, I’m always surprised and utterly shocked at the twist! Way to go, Freida!!

I'm so hard on thrillers, I'm sorry, I just am not usually wowed by them. This one did make me go "oh" at the end but it still wasn't 5 stars for me personally. The beginning had such promise, I was all in!, then when the romance popped up a little I just didn't feel the connection and it took me out of the story a bit.

This is quintessential Freida!! I absolutely loved this book and read it in one day!
The twists and turns were great and I did not see the ending coming at all! Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that I love a thriller that keeps me guessing. Every time I thought I knew where this one was going I was proven wrong. The characters kept me pulled into the story and the short chapters were perfect bites to keep me reading all night long.
The premise of the story along with the first few chapters had me feeling confident that I knew where the story was headed-thankfully I was wrong. Dark and twisty & sometimes unreliable narrators are my favorite kind and Nora gave me all of those things. I was rooting for her and scared of her all at the same time.
With all that being said I do feel like the story was a little rushed and left me with a few untidied ends. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable read and a perfect thriller for this time of year!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for my copy of this book!
Holy! Freida does it again!! This book is absolutely amazing! It’s thrilling, terrifying, and it kept me guessing until the very end!
Nora’s character was very well written and she had amazing depth! And the side characters were amazing as well!!
I truly had no idea who did it until the end and even when I got to the very end there were still new things to find out!!
Freida writes the best thrillers I have ever read and this was the first time I was ever truly scared of a book but I couldn’t put it down either!!
5 stars definitely!!

This story is creepy good!
Nora has spent most of her adult life trying not to be like her serial killer father. She's a respected surgeon with a non-existent social life. She's changed her name and moved to another state just to be safe and keep her relationship with her father a secret. Then one of her patients is found dead with the same MO as her father used, and then another, but he's in prison for 18 lifetimes. This thriller keeps you guessing until the end, and I did not see it coming! Strongly recommend.

I had been seeing this book everywhere! What could be more intriguing than a locked door???! As always Freida has twists and turns I almost had this one figured out! Very good story line

This novel started well. The story centres on Nora, the daughter of a serial killer. She has made a new life under a new name as a successful surgeon although her personal life is somewhat devoid of relationships. Her carefully crafted life is about to be turned upside down as her identity is threatened and her true background exposed. Unfortunately, as her adversary is exposed, the narrative sort of fizzles out and the somewhat predictable ending is a bit weak.

Freida is the quick of suspense - I pick up one her books and I know that I am locked in for the night and my do not disturb mode is on. Another cover to cover in one sitting that was incredible.

Freida McFaddin has done it again - given us a twisty, turny who done it. When bodies start showing up with the signature of an incarcerated serial killer the questions start. The main protagonist, Nora, who is the daughter of said serial killer starts to question a lot of things in her life. But the real question is is she a chip off the old block or is there someone in her life who emulates her father. A great read I devoured.

This was as always a fantastic fast paced thriller by Freida McFadden, I really thought I was going to hate this because I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen but I was SO WRONG!! THE PLOT TWIST GOT ME GOOD!

Nora Davis, that's her new name now, it's easier this way so that she can lead her new life, though every now and then she still needs to turn her back and be cautious.
Nora's father is sentenced for life in prison for murdering twenty women right in their home basement.
Nora works at the surgery, and after twenty six years seems thing from the past will be catching up with her as a couple of her patients were found murdered with an obvious connection to her past. Who's the copy cat killer trying to haunt Nora?
I read this pretty much in one day - it got me hooked right from the start. At the beginning , I thought this will be a cliche basement murderer, but love that the author brought new plot with unexpected twists.

I did not see that coming. Freida’s writing always creates the perfect balance of shock and surprise while leaving me intrigued but cringing at the same time. Such a fast-paced enjoyable read.
The ultimate question: who is responsible?
Seriously, I devoured this.

I haven't read a Freida McFadden book yet that I didn't like! This was a fast read for me because it was so well written and easy to follow. I loved the dual timelines in this for the past and present so you really got to know the background and history of the main character. I thought I had the book figured out, but nope, I was in fact so wrong! Loved it! Would recommend to any thriller reader!

Frieda McFadden does it again! I absolutely love her books! This one did nor disappoint! A must read if you've read her others and enjoyed them!

A quick, easy read that is well-crafted and offers a distinct simplicity. Loved the short chapters and carefully placed cliffhangers that kept the story engaging. McFadden’s development of unlikeable qualities in the main character, Nora, truly added to the dark underpinning of the story. Loved everything about this book.
Thanks to #NetGalley for the ARC of #TheLockedDoor

Before The Housemaid, The Locked Door was Freida McFadden's top-rated book. I finally read it, and similar to all her other books, it was absolutely fantastic, unpredictable twists galore, and it kept my attention the entire time!

Each one of Freida's books makes it much more difficult to choose her "best" one.
This book had me going till the very end and just like all of her books you absolutely NEVER see the twist
coming.
Definitely kept me up reading all night long because I needed to see how this ended. And luckily, spoiler alert...the cat lived!

I love all her books Ive read! I read everything from her, this was no different loved the premise of this book couldn’t figure out what was going on until the very last several pages before it was revealed… I can’t get enough of Frieda’s books! Give me more!! VERY GOOD!!

First I want to thank NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press and Freida McFadden for my ARC of The Engagement Party. Another win for Freida! I love how her books keep you guessing till the end! Her. Writing just makes you NEED to keep reading. Interesting plot and very well developed characters. She never fails to pull me out of a reading slump. I love the short chapters. They make it very easy for me as a momma to stop when I need to. :)
