In summary: Love at first sight romance.

This is my first Angela Britnell book, and I have to say I actually enjoyed it.The characters were well developed, I felt invested in those characters and there was a good payoff at the end. I never felt bored reading the story and it flowed very well. The romance was believable.

This was a good story, I really enjoyed it. I liked how Lyndsey and Becca mended their relationship and how Lyndsey evolved into a better version of herself during her time in Tennessee. Griff was an added bonus to Lyndsey’s journey, they helped each other to deal with their baggage from the past while falling in love with each other.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

I wasn't sure I was going to like that as I tend to have a desire to mostly read stories that are set in places that I am familiar with. I was pleasantly surprised, however and I really enjoyed this story.

I was inspired by Griff and his stained glass. Think I might even have a go at it myself, such was the inspiration!

I identified with Lyndsey as I am an organised type. It gave me food for thought about how my obsession with being organised might be perceived by others.

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the novel. It grabbed me from the first page and drew me. The characters are shown in a very rounded way. The good, the not so good and contained plenty of nuances to keep the reader happy. It was obviously a love story but also dealt with complicated family relationships and how they can be restored with the determination to finally sort out misunderstandings and past mistakes. It also showed that love doesn't mean giving up on your dreams and dumbing down who you are for another person. I will look out for further work from the author.

Lyndsey Carne is a workaholic and a perfectionist. She likes things tidy, and everything has its place around her. Lindsay must figure out how to break free of her control and let love in. She is asked by her mother to fly out to Tennessee to help her sister Becca out. Becca is a new mom with a country star husband leaving for a long tour. Lyndsey is hesitant at first, but her mom guilts her into going anyway.

Once Lindsey arrives at the airport, she is greeted by a man who quickly makes her heart flutter. This man is a friend of Becca’s husband. Becca and Lyndsey weren’t very close for reasons of their past. Lyndsey tries to help Becca but is too honorary to accept any help. Lyndsey is continuously flustered by the family friend named Griff who picked her up from the airport. Does she allow him to get to know her? Does she find love? Does she find common ground with her sister? Hmm…

This book is full of life lessons and allows love to conquer all. I couldn’t stop thinking about how much of my past takes hold of me. It teaches us to let go of our anger or sadness and forgive to move forward in life. Some relationships are worth mending if we just get over ourselves and find a common ground. Even the grumpiest of them all deserve love and happiness. It’s never too late to ask for forgiveness or let someone ask for it.

Love should always drive us to do good for others and for ourselves. Allowing love to take hold is worth it. At the end of the day if we don’t take a chance on love then we might be missing out on something unique. Don’t let regret be the reason you don’t find love and friendship in life.

A lovely quick read, full of fun and romance and who doesn't like a bit of romance in a book. A new author that I hadn't heard of but, will look out for in the future. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed this quick and lighthearted read! It was the perfect summer romance. I was able to immerse myself in the story and connect with the characters, it had just the right amount of realistic conflict with a good resolution. I will definitely pick up another book by this author!

this was such a lovely summer romance! i loved the complexity of lyndsey’s family and her navigating and resolving her and becca’s strained relationship. i found the time jumps a little confusing at times so i had to go back and reread a few pages as i felt like i had missed things. griff and lyndsey were infuriating at times but i liked that they remained a strong support system for becca and theo regardless of their own relationship. a comforting and happy small town read!

I liked the story and the setting, felt the characters a bit stiff and the dialogue not flowing.
It's enjoyable.

Absolutely loved this book. This is the first book I have read by Angela Britnell and it didn’t disappoint. I soon settled into the fabulous atmosphere of Paradise Valley, what a wonderful place to live. Characters were spot on and I reached for millionaire shortbread on more than one occasion while reading this novel. Easy to read and easy to get into. As a lover of Cornwall and Cornish Pasties there was plenty of nostalgia there too. The storyline made me appreciate my own siblings just that little bit more. Highly recommend this fabulous read. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity.

Lovely heartwarming easy to read novel, Some parts of the book I found abruptly finished then the story picked up some weeks down the line, then going over some parts. But overall I enjoyed this quick read.

Summer in Paradise Valley is a cute romance story about relationships between family, friends, siblings and neighbors.

Lyndsey travels to Tennessee to help her sister Becca, who recently had a baby girl, because her musician husband is going on tour for a couple of months. Lyndsey meets Griff and sparks fly. Is it a fling or something more?

I loved the characters and storylines. My one complaint is that I wished some of the storylines were developed more.

To find out what happens get your copy when it releases on August 22, 2023.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC book.

Lynsey Carne likes structure and control, something she has turned into her profession as a personal organiser and declutterer based in Cornwall in the United Kingdom.

Her mother begs Lynsey to travel to Paradise Valley, Tennessee (in the US) to help her sister Becca with her new baby whilst her music star husband is going on tour. Reluctantly Lynsey agrees to go, at least for a few weeks.

She's met at the airport by Becca's neighbour Griffin and to Lynsey's confusion there is immediate attraction despite their very different personalities and lifestyles.

Becca is reluctant to accept any help but Lynsey slowly chips away at her facade whilst trying to stay away from Griffin.

This is a sweet and endearing story about sisters finding themselves, each other and allowing love into life again.

Wicked good premise, loved the characters and their personal stories, and loved the dual setting. The dialogue wasn’t natural though - and sometimes a line didn’t fit with the scene around it, making me think that maybe the scene was edited but the dialogue was left, or vice versa. Unfortunately, that pesky dialogue problem kept me from really getting into the story. Also needed a review by someone familiar with American English. The written-out drawls weren’t necessary, and there were a lot of uses of British vocabulary by the Nashville natives.

Unfortunately I found this entirely lacking in substance and depth, and abandoned it halfway through. DNF

“Summer in Paradise Valley” is a romance book by Angela Britnell. This was a quick and fun read. This book deals with family, siblings, and neighbors. At times some of the information was repeated, but that was minor in the whole storyline. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
