I had so much fun reading this! It is very inspired by 13 going on 30 (one of my favorite movies)
I liked the character growth, and the relationship! it's not overly spicy it has 2 mild sex scenes so pretty tame! I really enjoyed Timothy's writing! very excited to read the first two books from this universe.
I loved the narrator so much! he did a good job making Nolan come to life.
it was just what I needed right now! 100% recommend reading it!
Thank you Netgalley, Timothy and Source Books for an advanced listeners copy in exchange for an honest review!

This book was so fun. I loved the time travel aspect and the way Nolan’s growth as a person was done. The supernatural aspect was so well done and felt like it was potentially possible. Nolan was such a distinct character that had you rooting for him even when he made mistake. Drew and Nolan’s chemistry was amazing. I also loved Nolan’s family and the way they grew apart and together.
This book really shows how one person can positively and negatively impact someone’s life and one choice can change the course of your life.\
I didn’t get all the pop culture references but I only felt lost for about 3 seconds during those times.
The audio was so well done as well. The narrator was super pleasant to listen to and really fit the character of Nolan I had in my head.
Thank you dreamscape media and netgalley for providing a free audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

Timothy Janovsky definitely crushes it. It was such a cute story about love, time travel and second chances. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of Timothy’s books. Thanks NetGalley!

I really enjoyed this queer take on 13 Going On 30. The build up to the time jump dragged on just a little too long for me but once we made it past that I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the book.
I loved Drew as the love interest. Romance loving love interests are just always so wonderful! Also, Nolan's growth and ability to better prioritize what matters was really well done. In the beginning he was a little annoying, but it also felt very true to a 23 year old who was still figuring things out.
Overall I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who has enjoyed Janovsky's previous works or just anyone looking for a cute and fun rom-com. The narrator was really good too.

New Adult is a new adult contemporary romance about twenty-three-year-old Nolan Baker, who wants it all by the time he's thirty. Too bad he's single, barely able to cover his own expenses, and still paying his dues at a prominent NYC comedy club. When faced with his perfect sister's wedding, Nolan takes it as a wakeup call. It's time to quit comedy and make good on his practical dreams—most importantly, asking Drew Techler, his best friend, to be his date.
When Nolan is about to give it all up, he's asked to fill a last-minute spot for a famous comedian. He crushes the set, but stands Drew up, misses his sister's big day, and disappoints his entire family. After major blowouts with everyone he loves, Nolan desperately wishes on a set of gift "magical healing crystals" to skip to the good part of life. The next morning turns out to be seven years later and Nolan is a successful comedian with everything he has always thought he wanted. Everything, that is, except his friends and family, none of whom are taking his future self's calls.
With nowhere else to turn, Nolan sets out to find the only person he trusts to help. Except Drew is all grown up now, too. He's hot, successful, and hates Nolan. As Nolan works to get back to his younger self—and the life he so carelessly threw away—he'll have to prove he's not the man everyone thinks they know in order to regain Drew's trust, friendship, and maybe, ultimately, his heart.
This author just continues to amaze me with their books! Each new release makes me love them more and more! This is a very cute and cleverly written rom-com. The author does a great job creating characters you love and some you hate but will learn to love by the end of the story. This is very true in this story once again.
I loved all of the representation in this book! Mental health has such a negative stigma but the author handled it with grace and respect. I loved the inclusion of a parent with depression and the perspective from the main character being outside the diagnosis. Representation like this is so important and the author really did an amazing job highlighting it.
I thought the audiobook was very funny and the narrator did a great job voicing all of the characters. The story itself is quirky and cute, which was portrayed perfectly in the recording. Nolan was a very fleshed out and human character in my opinion. He has his flaws and makes mistakes, but also has so much passion for his craft. I loved getting to the core of who he is and seeing the world through his lens.

I've read all three of the books in this series and this is my favourite of the three by some margin! But then again I suppose it's precisely my favourite kind of book; queer with a kind of time travel element. And it was done so well! It was very funny, but also very heart felt and offered the opportunity to think about our own actions and what exactly it is that makes us happy.
I loved both of the main characters in this book, but especially Drew who was just pure joy and love, but also knew his self worth. In fact all of the characters felt well rounded and seeing them in different time periods really gave us a fantastic insight into them. And it also had the perfect ending, so what more could I ask for? It was just really, really good.
I was given access to the audio of this book by the publisher via Netgalley. I've listened to several books by this narrator previously and I'm a fan. He did a great job at differentiating the voices of the characters, narrated with a lot of personality and fun and it generally felt like a high quality production.

This was a GREAT story to listen to! AWESOME narration! Great main characters. The plot was easy to find. The story was engaging and easy to follow. Will be purchasing this book. Shout out to Netgalley and publishing for allowing me to listen and review this story.
4 STARS!

My main and biggest takeaway from this book is how relatable it is, which seems to be a theme for me with Timothy’s books. Who hasn’t at one point or another thought to themselves “I wish I could just fast forward this part of my life” or “when are things going to work out for me? Can we just skip to that?”
Well, this book shows us what happens when you actually get that wish. The main character is a precocious and rather typical young man in his twenties who is just scraping by as he works on his five year plan to become a successful comedian, and in the mean time loses sight of everything he has going for him right in the here and now.
When he accidentally time skips to “the future” where he is successful and all of his future plans have worked out he realizes that this plan doesn’t include his family and best friend - who he is helplessly in love with.
Is all of the fame and success worth it? What really matters and what is worth fighting for?
I had the opportunity to read both the ebook and listen to the audiobook and I highly recommend the audiobook - the narrator does a fantastic job and really brings out the range of emotions the characters experience.

Thank you, Net Galley and Dreamscape Media, for an audio copy of New Adult for an 23yo Nolan dreams of the big time in comedy. Also, he is in love with his best friend, Drew, which he thinks is unrequited. This is their story. It also has a time travel element.

An aspiring stand-up comedian puts his ambition before family and friends in this loose 13 going on 30 retelling full of humor and heart. I really enjoyed this latest 'Boy meets boy' installment. While part of a series each book works as a standalone.
There was really good ADHD rep, a sweet friends to lovers, second chance romance and lots of realizing career success isn't worth it when it comes at the expense of the people you love. I really enjoyed this one and liked the audio narration by Mark Sanderlin.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Dreamscape and Sourcebooks for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review! Highly recommended for fans of authors like Anita Kelly, M.A. Wardell and Chip Pons.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the free ALC in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this twist on take a look at what your life would be if keep doing what your doing. I love the idea of changing your trqdection and Timothy does a great job at telling a fun and engaging story. I really enjoyed the narrator.
