Im still kinda mulling this one over. Was it a fun read? Sure. But was it also low key royal family fan fiction? Also yes. I’m sure someone who was much more invested in princess diana would like this book much more than me but for me this book is his 3 stars

I could have done with a bit more of the early game in the royal romance, and Penelope came off a tad putzy, but overall this was fairly compelling and even had a muzzy little mystery thing going on.

This book couldn't decide if it was a murder mystery or royal fantasy romance. And I am kind of shocked that details so obviously lifted from The Crown, Spare, and myriad other stories about the Windsor family passed legal review.

Really enjoyed this title! The story was very loosely based on real people and events...but with a lot of artistic license to make it really hard to put down. And with this all questions were answered and all loose ends tied up, which sadly, doesn't happen in real life. But it did make for a highly compelling read! I will be reading more by Linda Keir!
