“Every song. Every lyric. Every word. It all has to do with you.”
Lonely for you Only was the perfect read for those who love classic new adult romances with well loved tropes like fake dating. Scarlett is a young socialite trying to break out of the “party girl” expectations that come along with being her father’s daughter and get the guy she’s been crushing on for years to finally make a move. Tate Ramsey is just trying to get through his first live performance since he tanked his once thriving career. What neither of them know is that a well intentioned spur of the moment kiss at Scarlett’s birthday party, after Tate’s epic performance, is about the change both of their lives.
I enjoyed this one and think anyone who enjoys new adult will like it. The characters definitely read as angsty and are still in that becoming adults and figuring it out part of life. I thought Scarlett and Tate’s back and forth was fun, because trust even though they have a spark from the start, they are not feeling one another at first. I will say that this one is pretty slow burn and I feel like the characters get to know each other more off page than anything, but I still enjoyed it and I’m glad with how it all worked out.
I read this one as an e-book and an audio book and I absolutely loved the audiobook version of this story. I think it was much easier to picture these two characters and the voice actors did a fantastic job communicating their feelings through their narration.
Sidenote - if Scarlett and Tate are still looking for a ship name, then I vote Scramsey 😂

📍”What we’re doing isn’t supposed to be real, but why does it feel like that?”
Sweet, nice heiress meets Harry Styles. I mean, meets Tate Ramsey. And the rest is history. Well, not really. She really didn’t like him at first. But he had a proposition that was too good to pass up. But fake dating turns real pretty fast and reality soon follows too.
And while you see this and say, “must read now” — which you’re not wrong — let me tell you first what’s this truly about.
This book is about Scarlett. She makes this book with her coming of age story. With her growth. With every step she takes of freeing herself from expectations. Seeing her discover herself and above all stand up for herself was magical. Inspirational even. Scarlett has a quiet strength that spoke volumes.

*3.5
I like the romance but the characters just felt flat. Scarlett and Tate had chemistry, they just had no personality. Tate liked music but what does Scarlett like? The author forgot to develop her literally at all. I don't know what she did the while time they were in Los Angeles and at the end she just chooses to follow him wherever he goes next. It would have been nice to see her have some ambitions.
I received an arc from valentine pr.

This was such a cute story!!
This book may be about Scarlett Lancaster, but it’s really unlike all the other Lancaster Prep books. For starters, it doesn’t take place at Lancaster Prep, but also, Scarlett is nothing like the other Lancaster’s we’ve met so far. She may be 18, but she’s as innocent as a lamb when we first meet her. In all honestly, I didn’t really like Scarlett in the beginning and because of that I didn’t know if I would really enjoy the book. However, a few chapters in and I was hooked and loving it!
While the overall story was pretty predictable in the grand scheme of things, it had a really feel-good, wholesome vibe to it and was one of those books that was just so easy to read and get lost in the pages!
Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it if you’re looking for a cute, easy read that’s very YA with minimal drama and has a good storyline!

Lonely For You Only is a captivating new adult romance novel that delves into the world of fake relationships, viral sensations, and the entertainment industry. The story follows Scarlett Lancaster, a young heiress, and Tate Ramsey, a former lead singer of the band Five Car Pileup, who is looking to make a comeback. When their encounter at a party leads to a surprising and viral kiss, they decide to embark on a fake relationship for mutual benefit. However, as they navigate this charade, they begin to question whether their feelings are genuine.
I found Lonely For You Only to be a delightful and engaging read. The dynamic between Scarlett and Tate is both heartwarming and at times heartbreaking, keeping me thoroughly invested in their journey. The book offers a perfect blend of romance, tension, and emotional depth, making it a truly enjoyable and fast-paced romantic experience.
The characters are well-developed, and I particularly loved the gradual growth of feelings between Scarlett and Tate, which added a realistic touch to their relationship. The fake dating trope is skillfully woven into the narrative, adding an element of intrigue and complexity to the story. Additionally, the book provides an interesting glimpse into the world of viral sensations and the entertainment industry, adding a layer of modernity to the romance.
While some readers may find the plot predictable, the writing style is engaging, and the chemistry between the characters is palpable. If you're a fan of fake relationship romances and enjoy a mix of spicy, heartwarming, and at times heartbreaking storytelling, Lonely For You Only is definitely worth a read.
Overall, I highly recommend Lonely For You Only to anyone who appreciates a well-crafted romance novel with compelling characters and a storyline that keeps you eagerly turning the pages. Monica Murphy has once again delivered a captivating and enjoyable read that is sure to resonate with fans of the genre.

A beautifully heartfelt story that is swoony and romantic with lots of feels. I laughed, I swooned, I fell in love, and I loved every moment! And then I read it again! I love fake relationship romance and I love the sweetness and beauty of young love, especially seeing them discover all of their feelings as they fall…in love. Scarlett and Tate completely stole my heart. I was instantly all in on this story! I loved it so much and was invested in this story from start to finish. I had the pages flipping at super sonic speed. It was super sweet, fun, romantic, emotional and it melted my heart. The feels were intense and I loved every second of this book.
It was impossible not to fall totally head-over-heels in love with Scarlett Lancaster. She might be my very favorite thing in this book. Scarlett comes from wealth and privilege but she is shy, adorable, totally sheltered and awkward as she deals with her personal issues. But I also loved how strong, self-confident and dedicated she became through this book.
“A magnetic pull I can’t help but feel when I’m with him. It’s the way he looks at me when he speaks. As if he’s thinking of doing . . . things to me. Sexual things. I’m intrigued, though I probably shouldn’t be.”
Tate Ramsey is a solid hero. A ex-rockstar who had gotten a second chance because of her. He’s amped up and anxious, worried that his entire life is riding on their time in Los Angeles, the album, the fake relationship, all of it. One wrong move, and he could potentially mess everything up.
They’re young. They’re attracted to each other. She used to have a raging crush on him. But they’re complete opposites in every way, Tate shouldn’t be interested in Scarlett and she shouldn’t be interested in him either. Yet there something about the two of them together. It melted my heart to see how quickly Tate’s heart started to warm toward Scarlett. The romance that forms between them was full of emotion and sweetness. There is some powerful chemistry between these two and the sparks are incredibly real. The tension between them is thick. The heat. The hunger. It was Hot!
You don’t want to miss this one!!

I really enjoyed this book, it was cute and sweet! Tate and Scarlett have instant chemistry. Their banter is so good! They are complete opposites but somehow work great together. You know what they say, opposites attracts! Tate is so patient and gentle with Scarlett. The spice is a nice slow burn!

Lonely For You Only by Monica Murphy is a fake relationship romance, and it was amazing! It's the story of Tate Ramsey, a twenty-one year old former boy band member, and Scarlett Lancaster, an eighteen year old princess of New York royalty. I couldn't wait to get back to the Lancaster's world, and I was not at all disappointed! I think this is my new favorite!
Although it wasn't love at first sight, both of their feelings grew gradually, which made it so realistic. If you love the fake relationship trope like I do, this one is a must-read and highly recommended with more than five stars!

I’m not new to Monica Murphy and her books so I knew I was going to like this read just as much as I like some of her other works. Rich girl meets boy band singer, cute romance read with a bit of tension, especially at the end.

This was a sweet read, billionaire heiress falling for the reformed bad boy singer who she happened to have a crush on when she was younger. Fitzgerald Lancaster her father hired Tate Ramsey to sing at Scarlets 18th birthday. She didn't know how to completely feel about that cause no one hadn't heard anything about Tate since his boy band days. He completely takes her by surprise being different from what she originally thought although her walls are up because she is crushing on someone else she doesn't allow Tate to make any moves on her.
Tate is swoon for Scarlet from the moment he sees her at her birthday. Tate also gets a boost to restart his career again which he wasn't expecting just by his performance at Scarlets birthday. So he not only is offered something he doesn't want to refuse he also now getting the opportunity to fake date the girl he might consider his muse.
This is more of a Slower burn for sure, I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did for me I really enjoyed Scarlet and Tate. I would defiantly recommend this book for anyone who is searching for a light warm hearted read.

Monica Murphys new book is quite interesting, a Lancaster heiress Scarlett and a former pop-star Tate met at her birthday party where her dad hired Tate to perform. They have an interesting first meeting and from there it leads them to fake date one another to help Tate out and for Scarlett to find her footing outside her fathers name.
I enjoyed the flow of the story it’s based solely on the plot and there is probably about 0.5 percent spice. It is a slow burn that builds on their chemistry and something fake along the way turned into so much more they could have hoped for.

I enjoyed this book. Scarlett and Tate are great together. I love fake relationships and this one delivered. The tension between these two is wonderful. I loved watching them fall. This was a good read.

I am a sucker for a good rockstar romance so this book was right up my alley! It had me pulled in from the first chapter. I was such a fan girl for Tate myself so I can’t blame Scarlett. Honestly I can’t think of anything I would change about this book. It was a 5 star for me all the way. Tate has that rockstar image and Scarlett has that strong female attitude we all know and love while also still being down to earth. It had some nice spice, nothing super crazy but I was happy with it. Overall a great rockstar romance in my book!

An heiress and a rockstar begin fake dating which ends how this frequently does. This was similar to other books by Monica Murphy---not her spiciest book but certainly not mild! This was an easy read with some solid steam!

I’m not gonna lie, it took me a bit to get into this book. I struggled to connect with either main character in the beginning but by about thirty percent in I was invested. I love the fake dating trope and this one is between Scarlett, the heiress of the Lancaster family and Tate, a member of a washed up boy band. Now that he is sober he is hoping to make it on his own. When these two are caught in a suggestive position they end up rolling with it and let everyone think they are a couple.
I enjoyed the slow build of Tate and Scarlett’s relationship. I also enjoyed the angst during that build up. I liked that they were there for each other when it really mattered. Overall, this was a lighthearted and easy read. I do wish the ending wasn’t so rushed…it left me wanting more. In the end, I loved both Tate and Scarlett and I’m looking forward to more from this author.

This was my first book by this author and maybe I didn’t jive with the characters, because I hadn’t read her previous series so it was a solid 3 for me.
Scarlett just wants to be her own person, but her dad makes it all about their family name. So when he plans her 18th birthday he pays for her old rockstar crush to sing at her party. They kiss to get paparazzi off their backs and it goes VIRAL.
Then they have to pretend to be in a relationship to further their own careers. But when a fake relationship turns into something real that’s when it gets good.
You’ll like it if you like these tropes:
Playboy hero/virgin heroine
Rockstar/princess heiress
Fake dating
Young Adult/young love
Third act break up

I think this is my favorite monica book! I loved every single moment of Tate and Scarlett! They were so perfect ! This was definitely a 5 star read for me ! I couldn't put this down ! 10/10 recommend this

I liked the premise of this story from the start. Scarlett Lancaster's wealthy parents create the ultimate 18th birthday party filled with everything a girl could wish for: a large venue, 18 birthday cakes, her crush Ian Baldwin in attendance and former lead singer from 'Five Car Pileup', Tate Ramsey, singing just for her. Sounds perfect right? Ummm...
Scarlett use to idolize Tate Ramsey until he wrecked his career. Now she is embarrassed he is even at her party. This part of the story bothered me. Am I weird that this made me feel bad for Tate? I just couldn't relate to Scarlett's childish attitude regarding Tate's infamy. I like Scarlett, but her judgement is a little crazy. I mean, the girl is in love with a guy who doesn't even notice her most of the time. Don't get me started on Ian Baldwin or I will just rant for paragraphs about him. Uh!
There was something so heartbreaking about Tate Ramsey's struggle to stay afloat after the break up of his band. His career is reduced to recording personalized videos for fans just to make ends meet. So being paid to perform at Scarlett's birthday party is really the break through he needed. Well until the picture of Tate kissing Scarlett leaks to social media. This is the part of the story that left me struggling to finish this book. Everything that leads to Scarlett and Tate's fake relationship was so icky. Then afterwards, I dreaded every long, drawn-out page until I got to the semi perfect HEA.
I think 'Lonely For You Only' would have made a perfect novella, instead it was a full length story that lacked a true connection between Scarlett and Tate.
3.5 stars

I was really torn on how I felt about this book! It wasn't what I was expecting and overall, I was surprised at how little actually happened given the length of the book. The most interesting part of the plot was put off until the last 1/3 of the book and this was super disappointing to me personally!
I think there needed to be more happening for it to hold my interest. I love a good classic fake dating story but the stakes behind the faux relationship play a huge role in the excitement of the book. I just don't feel like the stakes were high enough here!
This book is really really low spice, there was only one or two "spicy" scenes so this could be a great introduction to people who are interested in stepping into spicy books but aren't ready to go into the deep end!
If you are looking for a really mellow, low-key story, you are probably going to enjoy this! Or just knowing what to expect will probably help.

I really enjoyed this sweet slow burn NA.
Scarlet meet Tate at her 18th birthday party when he performs some of his old songs from when he was in a popular boy band.
He now is 21 and a has been. Thanks to drugs, alcohol and bad decisions, he lost his oportinity in having a musical career three years ago. After losing it all he went to rehab and now he is another person.
Thanks to his perform at the party and a photo of them kissing, he goes viral. To try to have a second chance music career he has to convince her to be fake dating.
What happens when a fake relationship starts to feel real? Will Tate & Scarlet relationship survive the media interfering?
