Monica Murphy ! Not many authors make me blush but I am bound to every time I pick up one of her books. She is a master of spice and finds away to keep each read fresh and exciting. Love Love Love this one.

The hype over this author has been around for a while, so when I saw this book I was eager to dive in. It had to be great, right? And a rock star romance, one of my favorite tropes, well, I couldn’t resist.
Unfortunately, this has to be one of the most boring romance books I’ve ever read. So much “blah, blah, blah" that I had to wade through an ocean of extraneous words to get to responding dialog and the meat of the story.
But I powered through, only to realize I was at seventy percent and nothing had happened. The fake romance was established and Scarlett went to LA with Tate. It took three quarters of the book to get to this point! It's a shame, because the characters were likeable and this had so much potential. Maybe this acclaimed author's indie published work is better, but save your pennies on this one.

2,75 stars
I've been struggling with this book for a month now and I'm just going to put it down. I'm sorry because I really like this author and I've read several of her books so far. I don't like this one, I can't relate to the story and the main female character is boring to me. I've read half the book and that's it, I'm not going to bother anymore. I apologize once again and thank you for this opportunity even though I may have disappointed you.

I like my time reading this story. It was a nice romance, when they fake date and come to love each other I liked it a lot. Seeing him singing at her birthday party, someone she had a crush on. It was crazy how she found herself where anyone as a fan will like to be.

Well, I must say that I give this book a chance, but I wasn't feeling it.
I love Monica Murphy's books. And all are little similar. So I knew what to expect, but Scarlet was just too much for me.
And when you do not stand a Main character, you just can not enjoy the book.
I would pass on this one.
It is 2.5 stars for me

Fake Dating a Rockstar...sign me up. I couldn't put this one down. It had duo POV which I love because we get both character feelings and thoughts and a fake dating romance, reading how they fall in love, I could just melt. It was just the cutest thing ever that she was a fan of him when he was in a boy band. I enjoyed this read.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I love a good enemies to lovers romance and this did not disappoint. Scarlett and Tate are such a great pairing. I love a redemption arc as well as a journey of discovering what you want and not what others want for you. I have to. admit I want more I still have questions about lingering plot lines but I was pleased with the overall reading experience.

Thank you for this ARC. Loved this book but I love everything by this author. I will definitely recommend to all my followers and friends.

I love Monica Murphy's Dating Series, so Iwas really excited to get this book. I am sorry to say it was a DNF for me. Scarlett as a heroine just didn't do it for me, I think the character was just too young and immature for me. Ms. Murphy's writing is good, I just don't like the heroine, so it is a 3 star for me. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy for this honest review.

I enjoyed the rockstar romance aspect along with the fake dating trope because I love a good faking dating trope but also the fact that they were both in the public limelight made me love it more because I always enjoy it when there are more chances of them being found out because I am one for loving some drama.

This was a first for me from this author and it won’t be the last! I really enjoyed this romance story! I liked watching both MC’s grow, learn, and fall in love! These two don’t start off on the right foot but once everyone is liking them as a couple, they fake a relationship! Scarlett and Tate really had great chemistry(in and out of the bedroom). They were perfectly matched! I can’t wait to read more in this series!

Scarlett is an heiress who feels like she is living in her parent's shadow. Tate is a former boy band member who hasn't performed in years, after giving into the pressures of being a celebrity. Scarlett's parents ask Tate to perform at her eighteenth birthday party, thinking she would be over the moon. Instead, it starts a whirlwind chain of events.
I found this really charming. The characters aren't going through a huge transformation. There's not really an even exchange of what's being received, and part of me doesn't mind that. Scarlett is an heiress with more money than she'll ever know what to do with, so it's not surprising that she doesn't fight for a more even exchange. My biggest issue with Scarlett is that she doesn't like being known as an heiress but doesn't have much more depth to her than the typical heiress.
I could do a whole in-depth analysis on this, and I understand the criticism about the lack of depth to the characters, but there's a nostalgia to the story. The idea that you grow up, crushing on a boy band, and to have the chance to date them. It's not a perfect book, but it was a cute read that was welcomed after some of the more intense books I've been finishing.

I love the Midnight Dynasty book world, and this Lancaster book was sweet and tame compared to most - and I don’t mean that in a bad way! Scarlett is young and innocent, and the book was innocent as well. They were a sweet young couple, learning and growing together and it was an enjoyable read.

My friends are obsessed with Monica Murphy so I was excited to pick up this book but omg read the room. I get that there are people with obscene wealth out there but I couldn't stand Scarlett. "My life is so hard because my dad is a trillionare and everyone thinks I'm only a pretty rich girl." I was so over her moaning and complaining especially because when I finish reading I go back to the real world where I work with low-income people who can't afford food or rent or heat and I read to get away from everything but I just couldn't stand Scarletts whining about being the daughter of a trillionare.

This was a good book. I really enjoyed Tate and Scarlett’s story. Once you start reading you will definitely be completely hooked on these character’s.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I couldn’t finish this book… the plot was very shallow and the characters are shit. All I understood was “I’m so rich, tho my daddy couldn’t make harry styles to preform for me, boo hoo😭”.
I just couldn’t. I’m sorry.

Tate was a member of a very famous boy band but his Life spiraled out of control.
Now he has a second opportunity. He has been hired to sing on one of the richest heiress birthday party, Scarlet.
Scarlet is not that amazed by him. She is trying to make her crush fall in love with her so she doesn't really pay attention to Tate.
But that party will change both their lives.
I liked this story. Although the first half was a little slow and I struggled to keep on. But the second part was good and very sweet.
Tate is ideal and Scarlet blooms throughout the book.

The premise of this book had me hooked: a former boy band member who destroyed his career teams up with an innocent heiress to reform his image? Gold.
Unfortunately, like most Monica Murphy books, I think I am well above her target age range. The characters, Scarlet and Tate, are 18 and 21 respectively… that just felt way too young for me. If they were a few years older I think I would have enjoyed this book a lot more.
3 ⭐️ because it was fine, just not for me.

How do I start? I really love the FMC. She wants to built her own name not wanting to keep living under her father's shadow. Decided to risk everything she accept the proposal by MMC. Tate was a boyband who had some scandals.
Love how the story goes. I adore those two. I like how their relationship developed. It was a quick and fun read!
Thanks netgalley and pub for the arc copy!

Was looking forward to reading this after the Lancaster Prep, but this was not Murphy's best work. A little too predictable and gave me too much of the ick.
