Tamsin and Ware’s relationship made for a book that was highly entertaining. Lots of banter and the awkwardness between them and undeniable attraction.

Tamsin experiences guilt for her past actions impact on her and her family. Wares is under the shadow of his father and brothers.

The couple work through their issues and it does end with a nice HEA

Tamsin Sinclair and the Duke of Ware were unexpectedly thrown together to avoid a scandal. They are total opposites. He’s a Duke who enjoys collecting moths and she’s part of the sinful Sinclair family where scandal follows them like, well a moth to a flame. Ha ha. As Tamsin and Ware are forced into each other’s company, could it be that opposites do attract, and love can be found in the simplest of places.

Very well written and enjoyable story. Who would think to partner these two together. Ms. Ayers has a way with taking the worst of situations and making them into a HEA. Well done. Definitely purchase this book. You will love it.

I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Tamsin Sinclair, bold and brash, is nicknamed one of the deadly sins and her family is expected to be improper and uncivilized, and she lives up to that title. She has the tongue of a viper and acts without thinking often causing her family grief. Hayden Redford, Duke of Ware, is not your normal duke. He doesn't really care about the social scene and would rather spend his time attending lectures and collecting specimens of bugs. One night during a ball, he is attempting to catch a moth, but instead he catches Tamsin. Instead of getting married, they decide to pretend an attachment since she is so beneath him in class. What starts as a facade may turn into a real attachment in the end.

I think Kathleen is such a great writer, there is no denying that, but I ultimately struggled more with this one than I was expecting. I think Hayden came off super rude and cruel at some points, and that really turned me off of him. I know, I like a jerk hero too, but sometimes I thought his comments were unnecessary and just flat out mean even when Tamsin was trying to extend an olive branch just so they could have something in common. I do like how he got better towards her at the end and thought there were some very sweet moments. Eventually, he realized she was the one from him and from that point on he was zoned in on her, and I thought there was a lot of growth to their relationship. I just wish it had been happening sooner rather than later. I am also a little sad that there wasn't a love declaration made by the hero. That is my favorite part in the story and was disappointed it was left out.

Overall, I think it was a good book just not my favorite of hers.

I do not think there is a Kathleen Ayers book I do not like and Sinfully Tempted is no exception. Tamsin Sinclair, convinced she is the reason for her Family's banishment to Dunnings. The Duke of Ware, who wasn't supposed to be a Duke. He tried to stay invisible collecting his bugs and she tried to be everything a man didn't want. Until the fateful day the Duke was 17 and saw Tamsin break his brothers nose.

Fast forward, years later, to Lady Curchon's party and Tamsin is 26 hoping to get thru the party and life being a spinster. Hot at the party, Tamsin strolls out to the gardens to get some air. As she sits on the bench, alone, thinking no one is around, she lifts her skirts to get some air flowing to cool off. Unbeknownst to her, the scholarly, bug loving Duke is crawling over to her to catch a moth that landed on her knee. What ensues is Tamsin's nemeses, Lady Longwood, making up stories and causing trouble even though Tamsin swears the Duke of Ware bit her thigh. A ruse by Lady Curchon is formed to prevent the Duke of Ware from marrying an ill-bred Sinclair. Hayden was a Duke after all and the Sinclair's far beneath him per Lady Curchon and Lady Longwood.

With the charade in place to portray Hayden and Tamsin as friends, Kathleen Ayers does what she does best. She weaves a story of dislike, friendship and ultimately love, with some laughter and lots of sexual tension along the way. I really liked Sinfully Tempted and how Kathleen Ayers took her time bringing these two together and kept the sex at bay until it really fit with the story. The Duke didn't want to be anything like his father and the way Kathleen Ayers wrote Hayden's and Tamsin's story, Tamsin wasn't just another conquest for a Duke. Tamsin was Hayden's one and only true love, the one he stood up for, became the Duke no one thought he could be. Their story works and Kathleen Ayers did a great job, as always, writing it. Can't wait to see what she has in store for Book #3.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sinfully Tempted is the second book in The Five Deadly Sins series by Kathleen Ayers. Notorious Tamsin Sinclair and the reluctant Hayden, Duke of Ware, are drawn into a fake friendship to save their reputations when an accident turns into an almost ruination.

I love everything about Hayden! Hayden is large, lumbering, and rude. Tamsin teases he has Viking blood, which I thought was funny. I liked that Haven was this introverted scientist trying hard not to be like his lecherous father and brothers. It was fun watching Hayden grow into his ducal powers while maintaining true to himself.

Tamsin has been mired in scandal before birth. Tamsin’s father married his mistress, which has complicated everything their children have strived for. Tamsin takes more blame than is necessary, and I felt she played the martyr too much; however, I loved her free spirit, inner beauty, and especially how she held her own with Hayden.

Hayden and Tamsin are such opposites but are perfect for each other; deep down, they are both misfits. They tease and gripe, but there is this sizzling undercurrent of passion and a sweetly romantic feel to the couple’s interactions. Laced with humorous one-liners and laughable situations, Hayden and Tamsin’s journey is fabulous!

As with every Kathleen Ayers book, the writing is perfection. The dialogue and banter were spot-on. The plot captivated me and kept my interest. My attention was caught with the first book in this series, and Sinfully Tempted kept up that excellence! Don’t miss this sinful family of Sinclairs!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through Netgalley and the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I adored the combative courtship of Tamsin and Ware. She is a defiant hoyden who knows her place in this world, accepts it despite the guilt she carries as her constant companion. Her family was banished from London by her half-brother in disgrace, and she feels fully to blame. Her close-knit family do not agree, this family is as loyal as they come. Together on complete lack of regard for the ton that disdains them. There is a certain peace in being an outcast and this is what draws Ware to her as he has never fit into the lofty role of Duke. He is a brute of a man, who does not communicate well and lacks any sort of congeniality but he is also tender, loving and fiercely loyal. He reminds me of a large bear with a thorn is his paw, just looking for someone to see him and comfort him. I happen to love their sparring banter, it is a love language all its own and perfect for them. They are perfectly imperfect together and a wonderful story.

I was waiting for this book! I loved Tamsin in the first book and couldn't wait to read her story.

Tamsin is a strong willed and bold young lady who's family history is known to be risque and not very proper. No titled ton member would consider her a good choice for wife as the family reputation could darken their name.

She isn't ashamed of who she is or her boldness and that was makes her such a wonderful Heroine.

Hayden is the Duke of Ware who is very much more interested in moths and such than balls, titles, and debutantes. He is a very eccentric gent with a kind heart, he's very much the gentle giant.

Both Tamsin and Hayden find themselves in a precarious situation, the kind that could ruin his reputation within society and darken hers even more. The situation is fairly innocent but to the ton gossips, it could be seen as very inappropriate.

A plan of a fake courtship is devised to save their reputations, during this time they have to spend time together and during that time, true feelings start to develop between Tamsin and Hayden.

I really enjoyed this book, the story was great. It was very well written, the characters had eccentric personalities, great banter between the lovers, and even their journey to HEA was unique. Loved everything about it.

Kathleen Ayers does it again with this novel. Vibrant characters that, at first, seemed ill-matched, but eventually fit each other like a handmade glove. Hayden fell in love with Tamsin years ago when she punched his awful brother and broke his nose, but never did anything to further that love. When Tamsin goes out in society and they meet again while Hayden is chasing a moth (he's very into bugs!), they commit the cardinal crime of not only being alone together in a darkened, more distant part of the garden, but also, how does one explain why your head is under a lady's skirts? To dissipate the scandal, Lady Curcon, a rather nasty character, determines they embark on a "false" relationship until the rumors die down. She does this more to protect Hayden than Tamsin, whom Lady Curcon despises. Of course, this strategy backfires as Tamsin discovers who Hayden really is as a person and Hayden, after many twists and turns, finally admits his feelings for Tamsin. Naturally, Tamsin has to overcome her feelings of guilt (undeserved but true to her sensitive nature) before she can truly open up to Hayden. Hayden, on the other hand, has to learn to express his feelings so Tamsin can understand him and he has to stop being so logical and apparently detached. I loved this story and look forward to the next in the series which I suspect is about Andrew and why he's had to delay his coming back to London or to their country estate. Although I was given a free e-ARC of Sinfully Tempted by Dragonblade, through Netgalley, all thoughts and opinions are my honest responses.

Beauty and the beast
Tamsin feels responsible for the exile of the Sinclair family to Northumberland and by extension for her mother’s death. Now that the Sinclair are back in London, she will do everything in her power to ensure a successful debut for her sister. Unfortunately, their old nemesis, Lady Longwood, makes sure that the scandal does not die. Despite her resolve to remain on her best behaviour, she is discovered in a compromising position with the Duke of Ware. They announce a mild attachment to mislead the gossips, but soon enough their feelings are engaged.
I love the pluck and feistiness of Tamsin, who keeps her head high against the attacks of the gossips. They target her mercilessly for who her mother was.

Tamsin and Ware’s contentious relationship made for a book I just couldn’t put down. I loved the witty banter and the awkwardness between them. I couldn’t see how they were going to get together, and it was super satisfying to watch them get there in the end. I’m really enjoying this series.

Hayden, the duke, is a bit of a geek. He's cold, arrogant and grumpy. He really just wants to be left alone with his insect research.
Tamsin is on the shelf and planning on being a spinster. She's also rather feisty and once, several years ago, broke the duke's brother's nose when she punched him. It was totally justified, but Tamsin and her siblings were banished to a crumbling estate by their older half-brother, where they remained for several years.
Hayden unintentionally gets into a bit of scandal with Tamsin. Because of this, they have to pretend they're keeping company for a few weeks.
Of course, what was supposed to be pretend becomes real. We then follow their journey, while dealing with those who don't approve of Tamsin.
I enjoyed Tamsin's character, but her martyrdom became a little tiresome. I found Hayden to be a little too grumpy and reticent with his feelings. This book was ok, but I would've liked to see more plot.

Opposites attract in this beautiful historical romance. Ward is the unlikely Duke that had always had a hard time fitting in. Tamsin is a strong willed lady with a scandalous reputation. But together-they seem to work. Insecurities simmer below the surface as these two try to navigate the social waters and avoid impeding scandal. Ayers seems to include just enough angst and passion.

I loved Tamsin and Hayden's story -- they fascinated me from the first book and I knew each would need a very particular partner to make them happy. The characters were so well-developed and such a joy to get to know -- the story flowed perfectly, with a pace that made me not want to put the book down! I read the whole book in one sitting! I also loved meeting some of the other Sinclair siblings and I'm looking forward to the next installment!!

I absolutely love this series Kathleen Ayers writes some of the best villains in HR, they make you just want to reach out and give them a good shake😉 Tamsin blames herself for her family being sent to a run down estate, with no funds, she doesn't think she's worthy of love, but Hayden, the moth collecting, not looking for a wife, Duke of ware, is having a hard time convincing himself, that she's not the one for him, you will truly enjoy this one, so plan on a do nothing Tuesday, and grab your copy and enjoy

Sinfully Tempted by Kathleen Ayers is almost a Beauty and the Beast story, but not quite. Lady Tamsin Sinclair was at the home of Lady Curchon and was totally overheated, which was odd as there were not that many people there. She fled to the garden and went as deeply into it as she could, sat on a bench, and pulled her skirts up just a mite. Enough to give her ankles some air. It was so heavenly that she pulled her skirts up higher. Lord, that felt good. Just then she felt something. Something human? It turned out to be Hayden Reford, Duke of Ware, chasing a moth. Just as she was exclaiming the impropriety of it all, her nemesis, Lady Longwood, appeared, ready and able to spread this gossip to the ton. Just what her family needed. Just what Aurora, her sister needed as she was about to make her come out. A scandal. Thankfully, Lady Curchon, the aunt to the duke, found a simple solution: they would make it appear as though Tamsin and Hayden were friends. It would only be a few weeks and the season would be over and people would depart to the country. The friendship would fade away and be forgotten by next season. All would be well. It worked, until it didn’t.

Tamsin has a reputation, mostly by accident. That man she punch had touched her inappropriately, after all. But, he was the son of a duke. She was a nobody. Now she was a scandal. She was stubborn. She loved to dress in men’s clothing and ride her horse through the countryside. She was a fabulous character. Hayden was trying to live down the scandals his father and brothers had created. He was a touch odd, but he was a scholar so it was expected. Never had he been so entranced by a woman. Their “courtship” was different, to say the least. It was a fun story to read. Neither was willing to admit their feelings for the other and it was fun to watch the avoidance. It was a good story. Way to go, Ayers!

The ton expects Tamsin Sinclair to be improper and uncivilised because of her parents. Yet when she tries to escape the unrelenting whispers about her at a ball, she finds herself in more trouble, when she meets the eccentric, moth collecting, Duke of Ware. Hayden Redford (Ware) was simply collecting specimens during his aunt’s ball when he plucked a moth from Tamsin’s knee, only to have the event witnessed by the malicious Lady Longwood. Soon Tamsin and Ware are forced to be a part of a charade where they pretend to be friends, who share similar pursuits, until it all seems to become very real.
Tamsin and Ware are two characters that don’t seem to fit into the mould required by the ton yet are so obviously disdainful of it all. Ware’s manner is abrupt and brusque, yet when dealing with Tamsin, he finds himself overwhelmed. Whilst he might seem to lack manners and be rough, with Tamsin, he is gentle and loving. Their relationship is slow to start, and they seem to spend most of their time, annoyed with the other. However, their quirky personalities made for entertaining dialogue and seemed to work well together.

I devoured this! Having read the previous book I was very excited to find out Tamsin would be our heroine and Hayden our hero. Two people who don’t fit into society find each other and I was here for it!
Tamsin is wild and free and stubborn and the opposite of a proper lady. She punches first, thinks second. (Rightfully so, the guys are just asking to be punched.) she doesn’t know which cutlery to use and she can’t dance - it’s all she can do to try to stay out of trouble. Yet trouble finds her in the form of a exceedingly large entomologist duke.
An unfortunate chance encounter leaves the two in the position of having to pretend an acquaintance. Suffice to say, feelings ensue.
I really loved both characters and their dynamic was both fun and full of chemistry. I was thoroughly invested in their every encounter and enjoyed the slow natural progression of feelings. Hayden’s pov allowed us to see just how much he longed for Tamsin and what each of his gruff responses truly meant. This is one of my favourite pairings from Kathleen. I like both of them as independent characters and as a couple. though surprising their chemistry is very present and their banter was endlessly amusing. The romance progressed well and though we have some miscommunication it doesn’t last too long and I enjoyed the anticipation of the HEA. I appreciated the journey they had and really felt for Tamsin as her ingrained beliefs stifled her acceptance of Hayden’s love.
Despite their unlikely pairing, or perhaps because of it, the whole book was a joy and will be marked down as a memorable one.
I also loved all the siblings and seeing Odessa happy with Jordan. I can’t wait for Aurora and Drew’s book (here’s hoping he’s next? 👀). Also Aunt Lottie was a gem and I love that she only adds to the chaos of the sinclairs. I enjoyed the variety of settings we get in this, it felt fresh and unique. Overall an entertaining read with a romance you can root for, not one to miss!

Although outspoken and adventurous, Tamsin Sinclair's nickname has been unfairly bandied about by someone who has their own axe to grind, and her encounter with the awkward and somewhat bumbling Duke of Ware only serves to discredit her even further. Having met Ware in a previous novel in the series, one cannot help but love the man with his dry humor and obsession with moths, butterflies, and beetles. Thrown together, not in an effort to save Tamsin's reputation but Ware's, the couple quickly come to appreciate one another in spite of their differences. This is a well-written and enjoyable romance and although part of a series, it is a standalone and comes to a happy conclusion. Unfortunately, the family still has to deal with an enemy desperate to smear their name, but with powerful connections, they are able to stand on their own. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This story has two people who based on others opinoins, don't really belong in society for different reasons. Tamsin Sinclair's parents caused a scandal many years ago that Society will not forget. Hayden Redford, Duke of Ware, has tired to be so different from his father and brothers, that Society thinks he is too odd. Like does Society or Tamsin know that Hayden has ben intrigued by her since she was 17 and gave his elder borther, who at the time was the Duke, a broken nose that Society has not let her forget about 9 years later. What will happen when Hayden and Tamsin decide on a ruse to fool everyone including both their famiies. No spoilers here only to say there are some grapic "steamy" parts in this story.
