I thoroughly enjoyed Tamsin and Hayden (Ware). Both are very odd who do not fit into the mold of "polite society." I loved the banter between these two as they each fight their own internal battles. Their chemistry is emotional and heartbreaking and intense. Ware is definitely considered an eccentric with his studies of Entomology but he uses it was a shield as well. He was never meant to be the Duke of Ware. Tamsin is not a lady but tries to be because of her younger sister. She hides who she is but takes on the responsibility and guilt of why her family was banished and barely survived. I gave this 4 stars because I felt like the end just didn't meet expectations and for me, it was too abrupt. I would have liked to see more development here. But overall, it was a good read.

Hayden (Duke of Ware) & Tamsin. Another great book by Kathleen Ayers. I thought Odessa (book 1 in this series) was my favorite FMC but she's competing against Tamsin. Tamsin is a firecracker and I love her.

The other interesting thing is how the author makes intelligence super sexy. Hayden is an entomologist (studies bugs) and is known to be a little quirky. He may be quirky but he also gives that sexually experienced aura and also can give that Duke-ish feel. He can put people in their place merely because he's a Duke (he was a 3rd son so he wasn't supposed to ever hold the title). He doesn't always use his title but when he does....oh my....sexy!

As a couple, Ware treats Tamsin like he can't stand being around her. He's a great actor because his desire for her is over the top. She treats Ware like he's haughty and annoying but she also desires him. Their banter is what makes their relationship/chemistry hot. Even though the desire is there, Tamsin doesn't feel like she is good enough to be a duchess given her past.

I received an ARC copy of this book but the above review is my own.

She Was A Deadly Sin He Was More Than Willing To Catch!

Ooh, the banter, the secret passion, their love hate relationship, an arrogant Duke all make for one perfect sizzling romantic read!

Hayden, Duke of Ware had two passions, his specimens and Tamsin Sinclair. Being caught in a compromising position with Tamsin, all his dreams seemed to come true.

He didn’t know how to romance a woman, he was course, abrupt, his wicked thoughts about her kept his mind off his work and caused sleepless nights but ooh the temptation she presented to him.

Tamsin was spirited, sassy and would do anything for her family and if that included being around Hayden who constantly challenged and ignored her, then that’s what she would do but the unexpected passion between them was getting harder to ignore!

Another hot, romantic emotional read with lots of character and witty moments that will keep you entertained from beginning to the end of the story.

Love this series and cannot wait for the next installment. Highly Recommended Read!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I Loved It! Hayden Redford, Duke of Ware is one grumpy Duke who causes some amusing situations and Tamsin Sinclair one minx who can't help but cause scandals for her family must try to be nice to one another to stop a spiteful gossip from causing a scandal from happening. As they are forced together their feelings slowly start to turn from enemies to lovers in Sinfully Tempted. Kathleen Ayers characters captured so many emotions that they come to life as you find yourself drawn into their story, with snappy dialogue, passion with setting descriptions and action sequences that are wonderfully vivid that brings the story to life. With carry over of characters that take us through these love stories.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion

I am enjoying this series by Ayers! Tamsin (awesome name by the way) wears trousers and breaks noses and would make a terrible duchess. The Duke of Ware is scientific and large; very unduke like. Somehow this unlikely couple seem to fit after many arguments and insults.

Sinfully Tempted belongs to the series The Five Deadly Sins. It is book #2.
Let me start off by saying I love Tasmins character. The girl has spirit and isn't afraid to stand for her loved ones. Henley is her equal as far as personality goes. This book is funny and love the main characters wittiness towards eachother. Henley is drawn to Tasmins but he acts as if she doesn't affect him. This Book also has the Perfect amount of steam. I definitely enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book.

Tamsin is Jordan’s (book 1, Sinfully Wed- go read it first) sister. She has a bad reputation and a big guilt cloud hovering over her. She’s trying to stay out of trouble for her younger sister’s sake.

Henley is a third son who became Duke of Ware after a boat accident killed everyone ahead of him. He’s big, loves bugs, and hates society.

These two have a long slow burn which takes most of the book. Other reviews complain about the lack of steam. It’s steamy in Ware’s imagination for at least 3/4 of the book, then things finally start happening that involve Tamsin too. I took off a star because it was so slow to get moving. I enjoyed it (still 4 stars) but would have loved less build up and more pages spent on their victory over the nasty harpies trying to keep them apart. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

I am really enjoying this series. We follow our next Sinclair sibling in this book and Tasmin is pretty awesome. She is willing to put up a fight, she isn’t a virgin, and she rides horses how she wants to. She is trying to please the ton for her younger sisters future but seems to have missteps regardless of the care she puts in place. Ware is quite rude, prefers bugs to people, and is trying to find happiness in the role of duke that he never expected to have. Aunt Lottie is back and my love for her continues, I hope she gets a book finding love cause she deserves it. The scene outside under the stars and lightning bugs…. Love that. I also like that Tasmin is the more insecure of the two and that her family helps her believe her worth. It never truly makes sense with these very rich men born with silver spoons don’t believe they deserve the women they are pursuing and Ware does believe it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

Tamsin Sinclair is definitely too hot and impetuous to be considered as a future duchess. Hayden Redford, Duke of Ware is an entomologist and pretends to be uninterested in other topics. However, Tamsin Sinclair draws him like a moth to a flame, even though he pretends otherwise. Hot, sexy, steamy—their courtship is like none other. This page turner takes off like a runaway train! I thank the author for an advance review copy and am voluntarily leaving this honest review. I admittedly am a fan of eccentric characters.

A truly great read by this author I have read a few of Kathleen,s books and have enjoyed them all .
This story is of bygone scandals that keeps rearing its ugly head , and an innocent dalliance in a garden that gets blown out of all proportion .
The characters are interesting and believable with plenty of witty banter and passion., she would rather break his nose than his heart he would wish her to be a moth or a beetle rather than the beautiful woman she is .
I loved the feisty attitude and the arrogance between these two the love hate attitude between them was wonderfully written ..
A really good read and can’t wait to read more .

Sinfully Tempted is book two in The Five Deadly Sins books by Kathleen Ayers. I always appreciate a Kathleen Ayers book as it's generally a quick read with a good story. This one falls into that category and my only wish was that there were more steamy parts. I also recommend reading this as part of the series as there are definitely references to things and people that are explained in detail in book one.

This book focuses on Tamsin Sinclair, the sister of the mmc in book one of this series. She's always felt that she was the reason she and her family were banished to the country and barely had enough to survive so when she finds herself in London, she and her family history seem to be all everyone ever talks about. When the book opens, it's the end of the season and Tamsin is working to make it through one last ball. The last thing she expected was to find herself in the midst of a potential firestorm that could ruin everything for her brother and her little sister but...here she is.

The Duke of Ware is considered odd by the Ton. He was the third son and never expected to become the duke. He also has never aspired to be a womanizer like his father or brothers so he focuses more on Etymology than his dukedom. At the last ball of the season, which is at his aunt's home, he finds himself in the gardens looking for a moth...what he didn't expect was to find it on the knee of Tamsin Sinclair.

I really liked these two characters together. The banter was great and when they finally did realize they belong together, it was well done. I'll definitely be picking up the other books as I'm curious to see how things turn out for all the other Sinclair siblings. If you're looking for a new historical romance to pick up, consider this series!

Tamsin is a brash, beautiful and troubled young woman. She is the spitting image of her mother. Her mother is an infamous actress who married and Earl and the Ton never let her forget it!
Hayden Aka the Duke of Ware was moth gathering and it let him to Tamsin her knee and under her skirt. A lol out moment you must read the book for the back story.
To avoid a scandal there agree to form a vague attachment so that Aurora who is proper and all things correct can have an unblemished reputation for her launch into society! This is if Tamsin can form a vague attachment to a rumpled disheveled Duke who’s a huge man with no sense of dress!
This two are like oil and water! They are also fire and gasoline!
Hayden has used his hobby or obsession to hide secrets.
Tamsin feels guilt she believes she is the cause of their banishment as an entire family!
Her actions also involved Hayden’s older brother!
There are misunderstandings and two people who were not expected to even like each other much less fall in love! Get ready to fall in love! Make Hayden your new book boyfriend!
*I received an ARC copy of this book for my unbiased opinion! *

Sparks fly right from the start with the couple exchanging witty barbs at each other. The second half of the story was a different kind of spark as their relationship progresses. She has spirit and will sacrifice anything for her loved ones and he will not allow any denigration of the woman he loves. What an excellent read full of fun and passion.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.

Summary:

After being caught in a compromising position with the Duke of Ware, Lady Tamsin Sinclair manages to cling onto what remains of her reputation by agreeing to fake a a short-term relationship with duke. She and Ware will pretend theirs is an intellectual attachment for a few weeks to quiet the gossips, but to her surprise, she begins to fall for the duke...

My review:

I had a lot of fun with this book; Kathleen Ayers loves to write characters with interesting jobs or hobbies, and in this case, the hero, Ware, is an amateur entomologist. As someone who is squeamish around bugs, I thought I'd find it gross or weird, but it actually works! And what more, it works on a romance level— like, Tamsin and Ware's first meeting involves him trying to get a moth off her bare knee without telling he what's going on so she's punching him repeatedly (and then he kisses her thigh?!? bear in mind this is their FIRST MEETING) and they're caught in a compromising position which results in the sham "attachment" they both need to play up to save Tamsin's reputation (and more importantly for Tamsin, save her sister's reputation by proxy). And there's a lot of sly innuendo applied throughout the book related to bugs, and even some pretty damn romantic lines later on. Basically, when Kathleen writes an MC with a hobby, she goes all in.

And here's the thing about Ware: for all that Kathleen (and Tamsin) goes off about how big and awkward he is (sidenote: Ware isn't explicitly written as fat/plus-sized, but he is described as big and has a soft stomach), he's actually a REALLY attractive man and when it hits you, it hits. He'll be nattering on about bugs and Tamsin will be snarking about how his hobby involves pinning dead insects into displays and then suddenly he's like "perhaps I'll pin you one day". That single-minded focus he brings to all things really pays off for Tamsin. As for Tamsin, she's an older (well, she's 26 but she's been through it, life-wise), jaded heroine, but she hasn't let society tamp down her spirit. That being said, a lot of the plot is her feeling like she's too improper to truly be a part of society (as a duchess, perhaps) so she pushes away Ware for a considerable amount of the story until she can't anymore.

The sex:

I really wish there were more sex scenes in this book because what we got was excellent. I will say though, maybe there was merit to them holding off until closer to the end because Tamsin basically had to become half-crazed with longing (to the point where she was driven to drink) in order to admit to herself that she wanted Ware. Here's what I enjoyed most:

a) We love men who attempt to stifle their erection by reciting the Latin names for various insects

b) There was an over-the-clothes stuff moment where Ware is all "we're MORE than a fling bby" which I personally enjoy

c) If you're a fan of the gazebo scene in Bridgerton season 2, you'll love their garden sex scene which had big "don't stop" vibes AND unlike Kate and Anthony, they actually woke up together after falling asleep outside

d) Speaking of Kate and Anthony, there's SNIFFING

e) There is some half-virgin hero rep as well a heroine who is not a virgin

f) The greatest moment might be when he rips her drawers off her and puts them in his pocket while going "you won't be needing these anymore" and then in a scene WE WERE NOT SHOWN, it's insinuated he basically deposited them on her brother's desk and went "well I guess I gotta marry her now". Frankly, this is the one place I felt cheated.

Overall:

I'd recommend this book to any historical romance reader. It has a lot of heart, banter, and a great romance with solid sex scenes, and I look forward to reading the next book in The Five Deadly Sins series.

Thank you to Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review.

This second in the 5 deadly sins is another awesome book by Kathleen Ayers and does not disappoint. I have read all of her books, and love the way the plots are twists on a classic tale or novel altogether. The dialogue and interplay between H and T is laugh out loud funny, and just the right amount of steam (for a steam lover). Don't start this book late in the evening, you won't be able to put it down!

I received an ARC copy but would have read it on release day anyway. Views are my own.
