The Belgrade Conspiracy is written by Jason Kasper. This is book six in the Shadow Strike Series. This is the first book that I have read by this author - and it will not be the last. I have not read the other books in the series, and after the first few chapters I had a good idea to what was going on.

David Rivers and his team heads to Serbia to take down a Russian arms merchant and Serbian gangsters connected to a mysterious terrorist facilitator the team has been pursuing. The book starts off with a heart pounding action - and you will be hooked and wanting to know what happens next.

David and the team infiltrate a black market arms network in Serbia, negotiating a web of secret police and mafia hitmen. You have to try and sort out the good guys and the bad guys.

I cannot wait to read another book by this author. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

David Rivers and team are climbing the mountain that is Eric Weisz, a terrorist mastermind responsible for mass causality attacks around the globe with his sights on the U.S. . The next waypoint to Weisz is a Russian arms deal who has supplied weapons in the past to terrorist orgs and he's in Serbia to facilitate a new weapons deal. Rivers and team are the on the hunt for the weapons and the Russian but soon become the hunted.

Jason Kasper continues his run of the phenomenal Rivers series. I didn't realize I was so invested in Rivers and gang until The Belgrade Conspiracy but I am. While being world-class operators the team are not immune to being dumbasses and that really resonate with me. And while the action and story are great, it's the team and individual members and what they overcome are what makes this series work.

Kasper is one of the most improved authors over the last 5ish years and he is only getting better.. It feels like Kasper is nearing the end of this chapter of Rivers and based on previous books we are in for a doozy.

My sincere thanks to Severn River Publishing via NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of The Belgrade Conspiracy.

The premise behind this series and the previous ones featuring David Rivers and this team is one of revenge and retribution and this title has this in spades. The search for Erik Weiss takes the team to Serbia to execute the person supplying weapons to the terrorist leader. These novels continue to be hard hitting and intense. Kasper's experience as an Army Ranger shows not only in his action scenes but is highlighted when he looks inside the heads of our group of mercenaries turned CIA assassins. Combat takes a terrible toll on our warriors, and it's shown honestly and tragically, showing the horrific face that our troops suffer and overcome. The team battles through not only the still partially war torn Belgrade, but also the snow covered mountains of the Serbian countryside. My greatest fear stems from only having five team members. I would like to incorporate a few more so that the team isn't constantly outmatched whenever they assault a target. The lack of additional shooters shows in the number of wounded suffered on this mission. I like that we are moving closer to the ultimate confrontation with the hidden puppet master, but also sorry to see the cost that is paid to find him. We are introduced to new characters and forced to say goodbye to some that have been around for quite some time. I'm thankful these novels are still fresh and written with such skill, I'm always excited about starting one, they get pushed to the top of my reading list when they come out and I'm glad the quality has remained high. I love reading these books. This team of brothers has become dear friends over the years, I'm even fond of Cancer after all, and like the other's, I worry about David's use of alcohol. Ad long as this level of excellence remains this high I'm willing to continue to read and enjoy these novels. If you haven't read these books, I recommend you start at the very beginning of the David Rivers saga like I did to fully appreciate this team and their mission. Now comes the hardest part of these books; waiting for the next one. You'd figure after being in this from the beginning it would get easier knowing I will have to wait but they're so well written it's difficult to be patient waiting for the next one.

eBook Review – The Belgrade Conspiracy – Jason Kasper
Author Jason Kasper’s Shadow Strike series continues with Book Six, “The Belgrade Conspiracy,” another fiery and captivating military action thriller with intense violence of action and an array of espionage twists and turns. Main character David Rivers and his CIA paramilitary operators hunt a ruthless Russian arms dealer that’s selling high-level military weapons to a terrorist organization. As the plot thickens, things go ‘hot’ when Rivers and his black ops team try to grab the bad character in Belgrade and the story takes off into a non-stop bleeding, wrangling and explosive action thriller with staggering outcomes. Violence, murder, treachery, and spy thriller espionage are all apparent in the plot. Kasper’s former military experience as a former Army Green Beret also lends credence to the well written, well-told and exciting action sequences laden throughout the storyline. He continues to pen some of the most proficient and compelling military action novels in the genre and this series continues to keep me interested. I enjoyed The Belgrade Conspiracy and thank NetGalley, Severn River, and Jason Kasper for the digital advance reader’s copy in exchange for my honest review.

Overall. I enjoyed the story and particularly because it took place in Serbia. A land I am unfamiliar with but found intriguing. I liked the use of the mafia and had to look up names of criminal organizations to familiarize myself with the subject matter. Crazy firefights with experienced operators is always fun to read. Some of it is over the top but having never served in a the military, let alone a special group of soldiers I can only guess that’s it’s partly true/part made up. Not to ever say incidents like this never happen. I did expect one or more team members to lose their lives but they did not. Overall. I give the book a 7 out of 10

David Rivers and his Shadow Strike group have scores of undercover ops under their collective belts. The CIA has identified a Russian backed arms dealer that needs to be taken out. However, the only way to take him out is to get close to him. The team gets inside of the dark side of the black market arms web in Serbia and uncover things they did not want to know about.
They’ve gotten involved in a game that doesn’t allow for any mistakes for the loser the cost is death.
Every twist and turn brings new danger and opportunities for failure.
A must read.

As always a nail biter but this one has a shock I didn't see coming at all. Was hoping it wasn't real. Read this one when you have some time because you will not want to put it down once you start.

This is my first David Rivers book, and my first book by the author. I loved the pacing on this, the constant feeling of danger. This was a winner from the first page to the last. It's not often that I sit down to read a book and don't get up until it's over. 😂 Well-written, high stakes, fast paced. Love this!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!

Jason Kasper continues the captivating Shadow Strike series with The Belgrade Conspiracy, an explosive and twisting thriller with treachery and death around every corner.

David Rogers and his CIA Project Longwing team of ground branch operators are still on the hunt for terrorist mastermind Erik Weisz. They have uncovered the identity of the man selling high-level military weapons to the terror syndicate and set up a clandestine operation to take him out while he's on a brief stop in Serbia. But nothing ever goes to plan for David's team and suddenly they are being hunted by multiple factions. But first they have recovered a potential treasure trove of Intel that could be a game changer...if they can now only escape with their lives.

The Belgrade Conspiracy is a compelling blend of espionage and direct military action with every single character in the crosshairs. And as usual, David Rivers takes insane risks in the name of seizing and exploiting every opportunity he's presented to him. But that puts his team in incredibly dangerous situations with casualties a foregone conclusion. But this team of operators are at their best when improvising and fighting their way out of impossible odds. And this time they are tested like never before. Leading to slinging lead and explosives downrange at an incredibly high rate while a bevy of bad guys seek to send them to the afterlife. All of which result in killer action sequences, propulsive pacing, uncertain outcomes and a bunch of dudes bleeding out in the snow. What more could one want?

Jason Kasper continues to publish some of the most action-packed novels in the genre and this one is high up the list. If you're not reading his stuff, now's a perfect time to jump on board.

Jason Kasper brings the heat in The Belgrade Conspiracy, sending hot lead downrange in pulse-pounding action sequences and mixing it up with a game-changer for the series.

When David Rivers and his team of hardened killers target a man behind the transfer of high-level military hardware to an international terrorist syndicate, they presume the mission to be one of the most straight-forward encounters. However, double crosses and ambushes set by a dangerous adversary throw the team in disarray with more than one element of the team thrust in mortal danger like never before. Running and gunning across Serbia, the team must fight their way to survival and accomplish a mission with chances of success plummeting by the chapter. But if there’s any hope, it’s with Rivers and his team.

Kasper doesn’t pull punches in this one, shaking things up with some truly shocking moments. While we’ve read David Rivers and the Shadow Strike team take on some truly catastrophic odds, it’s in The Belgrade Conspiracy that the threat hits much closer to home than in the previous few books. The action feels more frantic and lethal, the consequences more personal, and the adversary more evil than before. The combat sequences are top-notch with an emphasis on tactical and technical authenticity that brings each gunshot to life in 4K resolution. You can’t ask for better combat sequences.

The Belgrade Conspiracy is my favorite pick of the Shadow Strike series so far as Kasper kicks up the action, humor, intensity, and camaraderie to a higher gear and keeps the series fresh and engaging by directing emotional engagement of readers to a promising pay off in the future.

David Rivers and his team of CIA operatives are sent to Serbia to stop a shipment of high-level arms from reaching the hands of US enemies. They are out to infiltrate a notorious and sadistic arms dealer's gang who has escaped their clutches in the past.
My first DR story and it was a great one: absolutely riveting from page one with nonstop suspense, intrigue and
action that you can barely keep up with - that's how fast paced and totally captivating this story is.
This is a definite must read for those who like black ops, undercover operatives and all the like genres.
Now, for the next adventure.

The Belgrade Conspiracy by Jason Kasper will definitely appeal to the readers who love to read tautly composed action thrillers. When you comes across a sentence about someone shooting another, and if it makes you enquire about the make of the gun, it's range and the caliber of the bullet, this book is for you.

David Rivers is a genuine star of the action thriller genre. With his team at his side he navigates situations with a determination only a writer with Kasper’s background could imagine/create. In this novel he’s up against the most insidious of opponents who seems to get the upper hand… for a time.
