Will Henry's comics make me feel like I'm relieving a childhood I never had. Equal parts Peanuts and Calvin & Hobbes, Wallace and Co. manage a sincerity and pastoral quality.

Full disclosure Will Henry is far and away my favorite cartoonist so it is an auto-buy for me always. This collection is all the best that I love from the Wallace the Brave - funny, warmhearted, and magical. I don't know how but every time I read these comics I am nostalgic for a oceanside childhood - despite living and growing up in the Midwest. Ranging from adventures with the Titular Great Pencil to corn "treehouse" to snow filled adventures there is the magic in the everyday as well as the addition of Wallace (and Spud's) wild imaginations creating fantastical adventures. The characters in this comic are all universal, but so specific and true to themselves that there is something for everyone here. And despite having read many of them before (I told you- avid fan!) I was still bookmarked many pages and wanted to share them with friends and family.

A great addition to the collection, and can be read as a standalone or by an avid fan and find great enjoyment. Come explore Snug Harbor with Wallace and his friends. I promise you won't regret it.
