I tried to read this book because I had read Harding's "Tinkers." This book was really depressing and I was not in the right frame of mind at the time to complete it. I may pick it up again one day because I do like Harding's writing style.

Strange and sad but a quite affecting piece of work by a stylish writer.

This book was not for me. I found it boring and long-winded.
