This was my first Ali Hazelwood book and it did not disappoint!
I wasn’t new to the world of “knotting” so it didn’t come as a shock to me as most readers.
This was a fun alpha romance and I hope to see more of this from Hazelwood!

This book feels like the cozy, steamier version on TCOTAR. And I say that as a the highest compliment. I’m in and waiting for the sequel.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I read a book or two by Ali Hazelwood and realized the “science/STEM woman books weren’t for me. This book had vampires and warewolves (hello sign me up). It was like a cross between monster high, twilight, vampire diaries and all the things. I love Misery’s character. How just nonchalant she was about everything regarding being vampire lol. I loved her jokes and banter and thought she was super funny. I did enjoy Ali’s character but you honestly don’t get much from him (i wish this had been a dual POV. I listened to the audio and followed along in the book. I feel like as much as i lived the narrator for Misery’s voice i was turned off by her “man voice” for the spicy scenes which brought it down a star for me. The audio felt super awkward for all the spicy scenes and wish i had just read them without the audio. The spice was unexpected and nice though for the book. I loved the fact that Misery found her “tribe” of people after feeling like An outcast her whole life. Very glad i decided to give this book a chance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for this one .

A NEW ALI HAZELWOOD! Especially with it being about vampires and werewolves?? Yes please. I loved Bride. Someone described it as Romantasy, and that's perfect! SO GOOD.

Rating: 4.5 Stars
I was surprised at how fascinating BRIDE by Ali Hazelwood was. Having read her previous novels, it was nice to see her branch out of her usual style and try something new. Ali Hazelwood’s foray into paranormal contemporary fiction is perhaps her best work yet. 🩸
That said, BRIDE had well-fleshed out characters and a slow-burn plot, coupled with a marriage of convenience between the Vampyre (yes - it’s spelt with a ‘y’) and Werewolf in their society. The characters were in their twenties and follows the tropes that are common in her previous novels (only that this time, they’re Vampyres and Werewolves).
The world building was simple, leaving three categories separated into the Human, Vampyre and Werewolf territories. Plot wise, we learn about how Were’s work from a firsthand perspective of Misery’s marriage to the Alpha, Lowe - a Were. The mysterious aspects of the plot didn’t overshadow the romantic aspects of the novel. I also liked Lowe’s sister who brought so much life and joy to the book.
The final parts of the book was unputdownable and the twists and turns BRIDE took was completely unexpected.

This book was a vampire, werewolf crossover that was giving omegaverse and I wasn't mad about it. I've enjoyed Ali Hazlewoods other works so was interested to see her step outside the realm of women in stem. This had the same enjoyable, easy to get through vibe to it that her other books have and I am looking forward to see what she comes up with next!

I am absolutely kicking myself for letting this sit on my shelf for so long before picking it up! I adore the author’s contemporary romances so I immediately requested this when I saw she had a new book coming out. However, I was a little apprehensive about what an Ali Hazelwood paranormal romance would be. Turns out I had nothing to worry about - Bride was compulsively readable and so much fun! I loved Misery and Lowe’s story and I hope we get more books in this genre from Hazelwood!

My new favorite Ali Hazelwood! The romantasy genre is definitely the space for her, she weaves her romance so so well within the world of vampires and werewolves - I'm praying we get a book 2!

5 stars = Outstanding!
I loved this! This is my first Ali Hazelwood, and it was right up my alley. I enjoyed the paranormal elements and world building here. The larger story fit perfectly around the romance, and I enjoyed both. There are hints at the end towards a sequel, and I am here for it. In the meantime, I will be catching up on all of Hazelwood's other books. (Language, sex)

My goodness I devoured this book. I started it a few weeks ago when I had some hours to kill in a bookshop and wine bar. I read what I could there, but was itching to get back home to finish. Of course, I had some other stuff pop up that I had to focus on, but I just was able to get back to it and I didn’t want to put it down!! This is just another example of why Ali Hazelwood continues to be a good read for me. I love the snarky banter, but also the tender romantic moments just make me want to squeal. Especially when the MMC is a grump but actual a soft plush underneath it all. Ali’s veering into paranormal romance was a success in my book, and I’d be interested to see if she does others!

Listen - if Ali Hazelwood writes it, I'm going to read it and eat that shit UP. I was so psyched when I heard that she would be dipping her toes into paranormal romance (outside of fanfiction) and boy did she deliver. This was way too fun - I want like a dozen more books set in this world, please (or at least more paranormal romance). The dynamics between Misery and Lowe were just too good - even on their tension filled wedding day the sparks were flying. I really loved the small snippets of Lowe's POV we got at the top of every chapter. They were a fascinating insight into his POV and how much he was pining.

if you wanted bella to end up with jacob as a preteen, this book is definitely for you!! once you understood the paranormal hierarchy, it was easy sailing! it was such a fun read!! overall, 4/5 ⭐'s

I received this book early from Netgalley.
I really enjoy Ali Hazelwood's writing, so I was happy to hear that she was trying out Paranormal Romance.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the plot moved quickly and I LOVED Misery and Lowe. It was a fun romance that didn't have too much "will they won't they" where it gets annoying. If you already like Ali Hazelwood I would suggest this as a must read, even if you have never picked anything up by her you should start with this!

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance and Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.
I'm so excited that Ali Hazelwood stepped out of STEM romance to try something different! This was such a fun, almost contemporary twist on werewolves and vampires.
This definitely still felt like an Ali Hazelwood book. It had her classic brooding hero, misunderstanding/rivals dynamic, with loads and loads of chemistry. This might not be a high heat romance, but the tension is very (very) real.
I've seen this classified as "Omegaverse" and I will say that it is definitely not. This does not have the concept of Omegas at all in it. Just an alpha werewolf with a knot (if you don't know, Google at your own risk). For me Omegaverse is about the hierarchal dynamic, and this just doesn't have that. So I'd go into this expecting standard paranormal romance.
Overall I just had such a good time with this book. It's an addictive, bingeable read you won't ever want to put down. With lots of snark and brooding. If you want a FUN paranormal romance, as a break from the often more dark stories, definitely give this one a try!

If Ali Hazelwood wants to write paranormal romances forever that would be amazing. I grew up reading this genre, I'm looking at you Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, and happily gobbled up more in this genre. I really liked Misery and how strong she was in her search for Serena and everything else her life had thrown at her. ALSO Lowe??? Amazing 10/10 would recommend and watching their story evolve was a joy with some plot twists as well. I really really hope we get a Serena story sometime in the future.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

I have read and loved almost all of Ali Hazelwood’s STEM romances, so I was excited to read her first foray into the supernatural world. Although I have read my share of supernatural fiction, I realized after finishing this that it hasn’t included much supernatural spicy fiction. And this was very spicy, as her books often are. There were a couple of kinks in here that were not really for me, though I don’t want to yuck anyone’s yum. It wasn’t enough to put me off the book, but enough that I will be selective about my recommendations.
Otherwise, I loved the world-building, the found family aspect, the growth and development in the blood family aspect, and the slightly snarky sense of humor that Hazelwood always brings to her books.
Thank you to the publisher - I received a complimentary eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book was soooo fun!! It didn’t have as much romance as I thought it would, but I really liked it that way. The story was very interesting and totally sucked me in, and I loved the main relationship. Plus a bunch of the side characters were so lovely and cute! 4.5 rounded up as I felt like the ending was a little rushed.
🌈Queer rep: none

This was an interesting book! I always enjoy when the storyline is political so this was an interesting read. I’m excited for the series as a whole because I think it will be fun!
I enjoyed the ride that was this book. A lot of people are disappointed because this was marketed more as omegaverse because of the wolf know, but this one isn’t really.
I’m excited to see Ali branch out more!

I was… not expecting to laugh so much reading this! But what a treat. It was heavy on the rom and the com. I’m such an Ali fan (so NLOG)... and have loved every Aliverse book but Bride hits *differently*. I got introduced to the omegaverse during an Ali panel a couple years ago and now here she is introducing me to the *omegaverse*. Instantly obsessed. Misery is so easy to root for. From her childhood trauma to her adult trauma, you want her to get everything she wants and needs.
I fell hard and fast for the Vampyre vs Were world (where humans are still the bad guys lol) and was so anxious to see how Lowe would treat Misery in his company. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. He was the gentlest Alpha to ever exist but also scary and confident and very Alpha-y.
I loved the side characters, the mystery, the familial bonds. I was desperate to find out who to trust and how things would turn out. This was an all-around fun time. I reeeeallly hope we get more stories out of this universe.
Thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for a gifted earc of Bride!

This is like nothing I’ve read by Ali Hazelwood and she nailed it! That was amazing. Chef’s kiss amazing! In fact, I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.
