Finally a Tessa Bailey sports romance! I have been clamoring for this and it was worth the wait.
This had everything that made me fall in love with her in the first place including funny banter, a charming and quirky FMC, and an obsessed and wonderfully possessive MMC.

While over the top at times, it works for these characters and this premise. I can't wait for the rest of this series.

I enjoyed this book. It was light and fun and there wasn't a lot of conflict. The characters clicked from the very beginning and had a mutually supportive relationship. The T1 Diabetes rep. was top notch and hit close to home for me as my best friend has T1 and goes through many of the same challenges with people assuming physical limitations and insulin costing a ton. There wasn't a whole lot of actual story and I wish that there had been more golf in this athletic romance. I wanted to see the evolution of Wells's game over the course of a season, not just a few tournaments.

Fangirl Down By Tessa Bailey is a hilarious fun book. I loved that Josephine knew so much about golf and followed Wells throughout Florida when he was playing. This is a fun romance with all the ups and downs couples go through. Another hit by Tessa Bailey. Happy Reading!

I’m a sucker for a sports romance but until I read this book didn’t realize golf COULD be a sexy sport. Outside of this book I have zero golf knowledge.

Josephine is our FMC and she’s witty, T1D, Wells #1 fan and attempting to salvage her family’s business.

Wells is a famous golfer who has tanked his career, struggling with mental health and alcohol use as a coping mechanism.

I genuinely laughed at several moments in this Fangirl Down and was not expecting some of those spicy scenes. The witty banter between the characters was really something I had been missing in books I was reading at the time.

I will always be down for a Tessa Bailey book, but this one was tough for me to finish. The third-person POV, and the obsessed fan to start with was tough to continue. It's got the features that everyone loves from a Bailey book, romance, SPICE, and most of the time, fun banter, but this one wasn't it for me.

Honestly, I thought I would be so bored, but Tessa Bailey always knows how to make me care about random “masculine things” like golf. Josephine could really be an overeager fangirl for Wells, but learning about what truly drives her was so endearing. She truly believes and fights for the underdog! We also love to see a MMC use his clout for good despite his perpetual grumpy rain cloud. This book has some pacing issues, but if you like the spice, this is the book for you!

Warning: if you don’t like butt stuff, there is one scene. It caught me off guard so I try and warn people beforehand.

Leave it to Tessa Bailey to convince me I could be a golf fan!!! This was so incredibly hot, so fun, so obsession worthy! I devoured it, and can’t wait for the next in the series, the set up for that relationship was a thing of beauty.

Oh man, this was such a fun, light sports romance! As someone who is not a golf fan, I was a little worried it would be too focused on the sport but this was a great combo of the sport and romance!

Thoughts:
-I love a down-on-his-luck pro athlete who lost his mojo slowly learning to fall in love with the sport again storyline. I do wish it showed him falling in love with the sport more than just Josephine, but it was still so good
-The chemistry between Josephine and Wells leaped off the page and in true Tessa Bailey fashion, the spicy scenes were 🔥
-Josephine was a great character. She never let herself feel like she was being taken care of or that she couldn’t handle herself
-You could feel how much Wells loved her and truly wanted what was best for her

Oh wow!!! I could not stop listening to this one. Such a great book. It had me googled from page one. The story was great the writing was great!! I loved reading this love story! Tessa Bailey had done it again!

Grumpy x Sunshine will ALWAYS do it for me I swear.

I absolutely adored this book so much. I’ve been in such a horrid reading slump, as in I haven’t been able to read quickly and enjoy it for MONTHS, so the fact that I read this in a week is truly an achievement (past me is crying but it’s okay).

First, I love Josephine and Wells’ relationship. As stated, grumpy x sunshine is one of my favorite tropes, but I also love how this book emphasizes their respective personalities while also showing that they have other emotions. Tessa Bailey is so good at taking the insecurities/weaknesses she places in a character and showing how their love interest is able to not only being that side out, but show how they alone come to accept themself — and I think this book does a wonderful job at just that with Josephine’s medical issues and Wells’ emotional wall.

Besides the characters themselves, I’m a SUCKER for a good sports romance. Do I watch sports? No. Do I know anything about golf? I do now 🎀. Regardless of my golf knowledge, or lack thereof, every time these two talked sports I was actually intrigued. It was genuinely interesting to gain a little bit of knowledge about a sport I will never watch in real life, but will probably end up reading about again (because hello golf dude x female caddie is now a weak spot).

Need a jealous Wells in my life (need jealous Wells in my life).

It's a Tessa Bailey, and what you see is what you get at this point! Which is hardly a bad thing, and often proves to be just the thing I need to jumpstart my brain after experiencing about a week's worth of a reading slump. It wasn't necessarily my favorite of hers, but that didn't mean it was bad by any means; I just didn't feel compelled to return to it as often as I could have, judging by how many days it took me to finish. On the other hand, the setup for the sequel is VERY intriguing, and this one kept me reading once I was able to fall back into it, with Wells and Josephine definitely steaming things up along the way.

Tessa Bailey is one of those authors that I just love her work 99% of the time. And this was definitely in that category. 

I really loved the relationship between Josephine and Wells. And the whole premise was just so original--I don't see many golf romance books, in general. 

Wells was a character that I'm not sure I would've loved very much without the influence of Josephine. But with her, I thought he was fabulous!

I'm so glad I read this one! And I'm really looking forward to book two in the series, featuring some side characters.

I loved this so much than I thought. Fun, HORNY, romantic and full of chemistry. I'm dying to read the second book.


Small note: why is the hero roaring so much?

Tessa Bailey does it again! I've read this book twice already this year. It's so much fun, and such a comfort read for me. I didn't think I'd be into a golf romance as much as I was, but here we are. I loved Wells and Josephine so, so much and loved seeing their banter. I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out! Let's see how many times I reread this by the end of the year lol

So great! Wells and Josephine are such a great pair and so lovely to read. Wells is a sexy romantic lead and Josephine is a perfect female lead for him. It’s so romantic and sweet and sexy. A must ready for any Tessa Bailey fan.
