I am absolutely loving this one! It's adorable and I loved the characters so much. I'm sad it's over.

If i'd known my apartment was a sex maniac's love den, I would never have invited my parents along. In my defence , it's not as if the real estate listing explicitly said, "Warning: studio apartment moonlights as center for titilating orgies and acrobatic loving." No. It said, "Affordable, quiet studio apartment in Murray Hill, wood floors, street view, unique decor."
"Jillian?" My mom finally stops and gives me a confused look. 
"Hmm?" I bite my tongue and uncomfortably tug at the neck of my sweatshirt. 
"Why are there so many mirrors?" my mom asks. 
Fran snorts, then says delightedly, "Can't you tell, Geeta? It's for eff-you-see-kay-ing."
"Fucucking?" my mom asks, frowning. "Jilly, are you into fucucking?" She glares at the mirrors, "What is that? A cult?"
"The u comes before the c, " Fran sings, but my mom ignores her, frowning worriedly at me. 
I shake my head, "No. No, Mom. Not at all. No cults."

After reading French Holiday and then The Space Between, Sarah Ready is now an auto-read for me when it comes to romance - which isn't my main genre of interest! I am so glad that i stumbled across her though! When i feel like a change when the murder and mayhem gets a bit too much (in my books - of course...) , i know i can settle in with one of her books and know that i am in for a great read. I love her writing style and the unique way that she put a story together. Her writing is always fresh and funny. 
I'm not really into paranormal romance, or Star Trek for that matter, but the author still managed to pull it off for me. She does a great job creating characters and a back and forth suspense with what's going to happen within the story, which keeps you constantly wanting more. The narration was excellent also, which i was really glad of, as audiobooks are much easier for me to read while i'm at work or on the go, and a bad narrator can ruin a great book.

I recently discovered Sarah Ready and really love the first book I read. So when I saw she was coming out with another one, I didn't even read the description, as I knew I would like her writing.

However, after a chapter, I was unsure of how I would feel going into this - I have never read a paranormal love story. I had a hate/love relationship with this book. The beginning half of the book took me by surprise, as I did enjoy it. The second half of the book felt drawn out. I expected a little more of the ending.

Overall, I liked parts of the story, but have made the decision that paranormal love stories are not for me.

Ghosted! The adult version of Gasper. I had a lot of fun listening to this book. Between the Psychic the ghost and Fran who always has a blind date around the corner! And Julian's determination towards Daniel and let's not forget the gastronomy and Julian's coworkers. This story does not stop giving me surprises every time you turn the page. Do you believe in ghost? I enjoy listening this book

Wow. I could not, would not put this book down … There are so many twists and turns to this story. Good book

Oh my gosh! I loved this book! It kind of reminded me of The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston. This was such a well written, laugh out loud funny, ghost romance! Such a perfect feel-good summer to fall ghostly book.

This is my first paranormal/rom-com and I am glad I requested the ARC from Netgalley. I truly enjoyed this ghostly cozy romance. I will definitely be reading more from this author. The mystery of the story was very intriguing and could not stop listening to the audiobook.

The main character struggles with her job as a writer of a romance column and relationship with men, until she discovers a ghost in her new apartment and falls in love with him while he helps her with her job and dating life.

It is truly a unique storyline and will give you all the feels.

Synopsis

The beginning of the book gave me the movie, " Just like Heaven" vibes with the roles reversed. It was my first time listening to this narrator and I enjoyed it. I will be honest I was a little hesitant to pick this up based on the cover and the "hot ghost" in the apartment. However, it mainly took you on a journey with the heroine, Jillian who is unable to talk to men due to grief. It was a fun and light read. It was surprisingly emotional, especially that epilogue and how their journeys came to a HEA, I just wished the book was a little shorter because the middle dragged a bit.
Overall, a good time.

New fave author alert! I loved ‘The Space Between’ so much and ‘Ghosted’ is just as perfect! I cried, I screamed, I laughed, I gasped, I cried again and again (and again).

Daniel is perfect boyfriend material and Jillian is the sweetest, most genuine, kindest woman who ever fictionally existed. Their epic love story is so so unique and magical, and the audiobook was absolutely beautiful! The narrator nailed it, and the bonus epilogue made me cry so hard and have me wanting to listen to the whole story all over again. This was, in short, AMAZING- from start to finish.

Ghosted is a lovely, entertaining, surprising, and incredibly romantic story. 

Jillian Nejat is a writer for the dating advice column for The Exposé. Ironically, Jillian has a hard time dating herself because, well, she can't talk to men. Literally. She's just moved to an apartment that looks like the set of a porno movie (hey, it's NYC, you're lucky to get an apartment that is not the size of a broom closet for a decent price). And her apartment comes with a... ghost! Daniel. A gorgeous, shirtless man that she can (WTH?!) talk to. After the initial shock, Jillian and Daniel have to learn to live with each other and figure out what they can do so that he can "move towards the light". Too bad neither one wants it to happen... 

What a lovely, romantic story that has so many twists and turns that it will keep you guessing until the end!

It's full of Star Trek references (my trekkie heart was full!), the side characters are fun and interesting and the story is utterly romantic!

Forget the other "ghost in the apartment" stories you know because this is a brand new take on the "I'll always find you" and it's so so swoony! Yes, you can have an HEA with a ghost! Trust me!

Narration: Told entirely through Jillian's POV, this is basically solo narration by Sarah Naughton, who's new to me.  She does a phenomenal job carrying the story. There is a little cherry on the top with the second epilogue narrated in Daniel's POV by Rob Brinkman, who proves to us that Daniel is indeed to die for.

Once again, Sarah Ready gives us an emotional story that kept me interested!

I was skeptical about this book because I am not usually a paranormal romance reader, but she made me fall in love with not just the story, but the characters as well.

I really couldn't comprehend how these characters were going to get their HEA, but she did it perfectly!

Give me all the Sarah Ready books because they never disappoint!

The start of this book gives the film Just Like Heaven vibes with the roles reversed. I loved the story of finding that person who helps you get out of that bad/guilt place. Both characters have their own struggle which the other helps them get over.

I really enjoyed the book. It's great following both their journeys to get to their endings.

Oh the epilogue twist made so much sense with all the parallel universes etc, but honestly didn't get all the Star Trek references as never watch any of the shows

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it is not my typical genre! I am not typically a romance book person but Sarah Ready might have changed my mind! This was a book I chose to listen too!

I was skeptical when it started with the "hot ghost in the apartment" I was worried it would be cheesy and predictable. But it was not and it really took you on a lovely journey. Jillian, the main character, who is unable to talk to men because of overwhelming grief, falls in love with a ghost, who helps her change her life and eventually gets to do the same for him.

There were definitely times I didn't know if I could finish it, at times Jillian is a little frustrating and I was not sure I liked the direction her character was going, however, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the journey to the end. I especially liked the epilogues because they gave us a neat ending/ surprise.

Overall, I enjoyed it and it was a light read I would absolutely read more of her books because she has a nice modern touch on romance novels. Thank you, NetGalley for the chance to listen to this book!

Sarah Ready's novels offer a sense of comfort for me, largely due to how easily I become immersed in the stories.

With that said, this book had the same problem French Holiday did. It dragged on for too long and could have been trimmed down. I'm beginning to question if this will occur in every novel of hers that I read. Moreover, the story's length had a negative impact on my opinion of the main character.She had me rolling my eyes constantly. The phrase "less is more" applies sometimes. That's all I'll say.

Despite the criticism, the book had an amusing cast of characters with an intriguing plot. Also, the plot twist was completely unexpected and earned major points from me.

Overall, an enjoyable read. Just wish it was shorter, which sounds like an odd criticism, but it has to be said.

This was an interesting story. I liked the consistent messaging about loving yourself for who you are. There was a lot to follow but I couldn’t wait to find out how it would all wrap up.

This is my first Sarah Ready book so I wasn't quite sure what to expect in terms of her voice. It reminded me of a mix of Lucy Score and Aurora Rose Reynold with a dash of Ali Hazelwood (but maybe that's just the Star Trek
geekiness from the FMC).

I almost stopped reading early on because I didn't particularly care for the character and I wasn't sure if I was liking where the story was going. The middle third shined - that is where Jillian shined in her quest to figure out how to get close to Daniel and make him remember her. The last third sort of ended with a whimper for me. It skated around how Daniel did remember her and their making up didn't feel as swoony as I wanted it to be.

I'm not sure if some of my issues with the book may have been due to the narrator who I found over the top.

This audiobook is laugh out loud funny and pulls the heartstrings as well! My husband who is not at all into romance or rom coms, listened to this book with me while we were traveling, and he enjoyed it quite a bit as well. We were both laughing quite a bit throughout the book. Ironic as my husband doesn't do fantasy or believe in ghosts, but he thoroughly enjoyed the book as much as I did. Once again proving, don't judge a book by its cover or in this case genre! The narration was fantastic and really brought the characters to life. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author and hopefully they will also be great audiobooks as well! It's an intriguing twist on the second chances, friends to lovers, time travel, ghosts and a few other themes wrapped up together quite masterfully.

Ghosted introduced me to some fiction genres. Labeled as “New Adult” and “Women’s Fiction,” I imagined diving into a feminist rom-com read with a YA vibe, plus a ghost or two! I was intrigued and also very off-the-mark. To be fair, I do not generally enjoy anything that falls even loosely into the Romance category, where Ghosted firmly lands. The couple chapters of a Bridgerton book I tried were contumelious. Thus, wading through this fiction quickly became a withering task. Likewise, trying to keep this review pejorative-lite and still honest presented a challenge.
Let’s get into it – Ghosted opens by introducing Jillian Nejat, who is extremely diffident around men and has never had sex, yet incongruously has been on hundreds of first dates. Surely intended to be relatable, buying into the character of Jillian as a believable human required effort. Developing sympathetic feelings toward her was too tough a proposition. I found the details of Jillian's personality as well as thought life regarding her job, apartment and social network consistently grating.
When sexy ghost guy, Daniel, turns up and devotes himself to helping Jillian change her life, I felt a modicum of relief that a more dynamic leading lady and some humor were building. Unfortunately the first half of the book plays out according to the ghost and girl tropes I never needed. The ghost-on-girl sex sessions were the most laughable moments of the first part of the book, but sadly there were still several chapters more of Jillian becoming even more desperate and flat-out unlikeable.
The second half of Ghosted might have appealed to me if human-again Daniel had gotten a restraining order against the increasingly obsessive Jillian. No amount of thirsty-for-Daniel titillation makes up for Jillian being an unrelenting stalker. I found it a creepy and skewed representation of love, loyalty and romance frankly. While the story was barely convincing that human Daniel was worth a protagonist’s infatuation. He was most likable when charitably distancing himself. I was eager for one of her coworkers to suggest to Jillian, “If you love someone, you set them free…” or “If it’s true love, then please respect that No means No!” After slogging to its belabored ending, I am convinced that Ghosted was an apt title as in “bail out” or “blatantly avoid!”

This book. There were times I was thinking this is so out there but also I couldn't put it down. The multilayer timeline kept the story in line and consistently interesting. This is my third book from her and all so vastly different, I imagine her author brain is a wild place to be!

Ghosted is my first ever book by Sarah and it most definitely won't be my last. Ghosted was an incredible listen! A beautiful mix of sci-fi and rom-com. The female narrator bugged me at points but overall it was funny, cute and a must listen. the story wasn't ground breaking but I loved the premise and how it ended.
