Not a fan of this book! The author tries too hard to be funny and sarcastic, but it actually comes across as a rather juvenile attempt of explaining the situation in politics today. I learned nothing, enjoyed nothing, and can recommend nothing from this book. Seems more to be a bad movie script for a cheap Hollywood "comedy". Sorry!

A short snappy book on how stuff gets done in politics. There are democrats, republicans and most importantly lobbyists / spin doctors.
After a short backstory on the main characters, we dive into the weird ways a bill gets introduced and who benefits from it.
It’s a quick read, I forgot it was fiction, and sometimes reads like the actual nonsense that has happened in DC. Because of the actual people interspersed through the book it feels very real. For people from outside the USA it might seems ridiculous but if you follow a news cycle you’ll see unfortunately it’s very close to the truth. George sometimes uses unnecessarily “big” words. Overall it was a cute read, but has no real big surprises. Everyone is an antagonist, but George does write it in a way you are still rooting for the terrible people doing terrible things. 3.5 stars rounded up.
