Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this audio ARC. What the actually off is this book. The series name for this series is accurate - "The Messes". I hated both main characters and found them to be incredibly childish, especially the female lead.

This is my first book by Kiersten Modglin, (but it will not be my last). I listened to it on audio and had to finish it in one day, it was that good. It was fast paced and easy to follow, with well developed characters. There's lots of twists and surprised and Gunner and Regan had my full attention. I can't wait to read the next book!

Super quick and really good! I enjoyed the dual timelines and the plot development. Reagan’s character is my favorite to read about - women who are written realistically. That’s so refreshing! There are surprises throughout that keep you turning pages - or in this case, listening! Speaking of which, the narrator did a great job on various voices. A nice, clean, quick read! Definitely enjoyable!

I have to say that even though this is listed as romance there is still some mystery and suspense in the book. I loved the two different time lines so you can see how Gunner and Reagan meet and fall in love. Regan was the first person to see the good in Gunner. He manages to be a knight in shining armor and rescuing his princess time and time again.

Gunner thought he had left his hometown behind but now something has happened so he needs to go back home.

This is where it really gets interesting as he finds out the truth of what happened years ago. He must decide if he can stick by Regan and let the past go.

I loved this as an audiobook as the narrators were so good and managed to keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next.

I have been reading a lot of books lately that have had a shock factor, and I am not mad about it. This book is another one to add to that list! I loved the split timeline and getting to see Reagan and Gunner fall in love in high school as well as figure out how they fit together now. This story was very fast paced, and I was never bored!

I’ve read a lot by this author (she’s an automatic read for me) so I was surprised by the romance. I loved it. Yes there was still the mystery portion but wow the romance. I loved this book. I read it in an afternoon.

The three narrators were all wonderful.
