I was excited about this book, I really enjoy the author and the story is interesting and hooked me in the first book. Literally the only thing I feel these books could benefit from is a little snarky humor, and that's mostly because I am a big fan of snarky humor in this kind of story.

There were some super steamy scenes which were great, the world building was done well and doesn't punch you in the face and the characters are at least somewhat relatable, if a bit flat? I liked them though, and I was here for the story mostly, and that I got!

I listened to this on audio and the narrator is both relaxing to listen to and nuanced enough to take on all of the parts, I would definitely listen to him again in the future.

I read the first book recently and I loved it so much so I was excited to listen to the audiobook of this book.
I wasn’t disappointed. Bai was hooked from the very beginning and I have to admit I fished it fairly quick because I just didn’t want to stop listening.

This was my first time listening to an audiobook. I can’t say I’m a fan.
I’m afraid I may have done myself and the author a terrible disservice. Apparently when requesting this title, I did not pay attention to the fact that this was a sequel.
I spent most of the story confused. I had a very difficult time catching on to the story. I believe I would have understood much more had I read the first book.
Other than not quite knowing much of the history of the characters, the author was very descriptive. I could clearly envision the environment and whatever action the characters were performing. The story was well written. I believe I may have enjoyed it more with having read the first book. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to listen to this tale of Gods and Mortals.

This books brings in lots of entertaining myth and lore. Lucifer, Nephilin, lots of action across the board. I was not prepared for the romance factor in this one because I went in blind. I do recommend readings any trigger warnings available as well as content.
