Cat Family At the Museum by Lucy Brownridge is an amazing lift the flap book that had fantastic artwork and I liked the nod to famous art just in a different way. I really enjoyed this and found that one of my only gripes was that I couldn't lift the flaps myself. I have already put this on my nephews christmas list.

Cat family at The Museum is such a lovely lift the flap book that was such a delight to read. The book is set on a day trip to a museum with the cat family.

Each page is a different section of the museum with some very recognisable famous pieces of art work that are a cat version. The illisutions are stunning with so much detail. You could spent hours pouring over the book

Cat family at the museum is a delight for both young and old, I'm 43 and enjoyed it. I would have bought 5 copies if my nieces and nephews were slightly younger. It would also make for a lovely gift for a can fan.

The only downside of reviewing a digital copy of the book is that I couldn't lift the flap or see the stunning art in its physical form. I may just have to buy this book for myself

The illustrations in this book are so lovely! I think this would be a fun grandparent gift, either to receive from their grands or for grands to order for their littles. The storyline kept our 5yo entertained.

This book was very cute, but I think reading it digitally took away some of my personal enjoyment. I liked that we could see the items that flipped up and what they revealed

Museum, a wonderful place to be. This time the kittens were brought here by their grandparents. Alth0ugh each had their own preference, but you can find them in museum. Through this book, children will also learn to appreciate a museum and some facts about things inside. Such as how important cats can be in a ship back in Vikings era. Beautifully illustrated too, this book is a gem!

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Cat Family at the Museum is such a beautiful book filled with over 100 lift the flaps. I read the digital version and so couldn't open the flaps (the digital version showed each page with the flaps closed then the same page but with them open). The cat family visit the museum with their grandparents and see many different topics and works of art. This is beautifully illustrated, and I loved the colour pallet used. I've not read this series before and have now fallen in love with it. The book is great to get children interested in history and museums and spark a thirst for knowledge from a young age in a clever way. I can't wait to read the rest of these books and get them for my grandbaby.

Wander through the museum and gaze up at European masterpieces, roar at sabre-toothed tigers and marvel at enormous dinosaurs in this magical museum of wonders – there is something for every kitten to enjoy! Each room explores a different part of history or the world, from the prehistoric times and East Asia to the stone age and the modern world of space. Lift-the-flap on each page to uncover the inner workings of the museum and reveal hidden details on each page, from what’s behind paintings and statues to in display cabinets and even under the floorboards! Richly illustrated in a nostalgic and whimsical style and complete with sturdy flaps for little hands, children will love poring over each scene and discovering charming details.

I love going to museums, so it was a forgone conclusion that I'd want to read this book. It's filled with softly rendered images, full of details that "open" to reveal little fun and cute secrets, as this is a "lift the flap" type book. (In the PDF copy I have, each story page is followed by its duplicate, with all the secrets revealed).

I liked the funny twists on actual art pieces (e.g., the Girl with the Earring, Degas ballerinas, etc.)

The book's detailed artwork is reminiscent of the Richard Scarry books I remember reading as a kid, with kids having to find Gold bug or other interesting inhabitants. I would have loved a book like this as a kid.

I like the flip book aspect of this story. There is good information it feels like a little mini museum. The hidden mice on every page was a nice touch. I liked how varied the rooms were.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.

Little me loved books with museums because there was always a lot to look at on every page. I know I would have loved counting the mice in the flaps and looking at every page slowly.

This is a beautiful story with illustrations to match. The flaps were a wonderful added bonus with cuteness inside.

Full of informational little tidbits sure to intrigue any curious little ones. Looking through all of the illustrations both under the flaps and not, is sure to be a delight.

Very cute book! I especially enjoyed how the book shows that museums can contain lots of different topics. As a museum curator, I have discovered that many children only think of a museum as a place to view art or as only a science center. This book beautifully illustrates that you can find both in some museums. I also particularly loved the fact that the young kittens were depicted as interacting with the exhibits through inspiration to write and draw themselves.

Is there anything that young kids like more than lift the flap books? This one has so many things to discover that it will keep little ones busy for quite a while. The illustrations inside this book are very inviting and the text is age appropriate. The theme of the story is the cat family’s trip to the museum, a place where there is so much to see.and learn.

Highly recommended for young children and their grown ups!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.

This was so adorable! The illustrations were gorgeous as well as the story following the kittens having a day out to the museum with their grandparents. It was so wholesome and such a cute read! Even had a fun time learning some quick facts and the flip up feature was a cute touch to see displays and little things hidden within the walls.

I LOVE the lift the flaps in CAT FAMILY AT THE MUSEUM. The mice are going to keep your kids on the hunt for more. And the illustrations by Eunyoung Seo are charming!

This is a darling book that covers a myriad of subjects. Everything from dinosaurs to outer space! It's thoroughly engaging.

I think this would be especially fun to read before a trip to a museum.

I highly recommend this book!

Happy (catting around at the museum) reading!

I had so much fun reading this book, the story is so adorable and the illustrations were so well done and charming, there’s so many little details in every page that I couldn’t stop but be mesmerized by it all. I will definitely be recommending it! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy

This book exclaims children’s reading in all its pages and I adored it, even if I’m not a little girl. The illustrations are a real pleasure for the eyes so much so that instead of following the story, that are short, I focused on the details of each room. The secret windows are a mixture of what is real and what you can imagine they are hidden or be a surprises! A recommended reading to do with children to discover curiously the exhibitions of the museum and who knows, maybe visit it one day.

"Cat family at the museum" is such a lovely book. The kittens got a surprise day out with their grandparents, which means a day at the museum. We learn little details about very different topics (dinosaurs, space, art etc.). A wide range of themes are shortly touched.

There is a lot to discover on the pretty and lovingly designed illustrations. The children could also tell a lot about these pictures. The book will definitely encourage the children to talk about what they see.
