WOAH! This is a thriller to add to your TBR asap if you're a lover of the genre. When everything finally clicked I was 85% in and for me the Ah-Ha moment was not something I would have figured out at all before that. Phenomenal characters, the PLOT is so good, and it was on the same level as Lisa Jewell, and Riley Sager for me.
This centers around Ruth, Amanda, and Wendy and the murders they went through or faced themselves. You are never sure who the bad guy and/or good guy in this story. There is multi-POV and it was done beautifully and wasn't confusing as a reader to understand what was going on.
I will definitely be reading any of his future books and recommending this one to all.

My friend Dennis (@ScaredStraightReads) raved about this one, stating it was a โfreaking blastโ so I couldnโt wait to pick it up.
Steve Cavanagh beings the book with a bang and it barely lets up until the last page. He navigates multiple points of view well, with Ruth and Amandaโs being the main ones. I adored Ruth and Scott as a couple, especially in the way they support one another. Cavanagh portrays Amandaโs grief deeply and itโs easy to understand how she could get swept away in thoughts of revenge. I was wondering right away how the two main storylines connected, but I could not envision them coming together - letโs say I was pleasantly shocked when that reveal came. There is a ton of tension, especially as you wonder just how inspired by Strangers On a Train Amanda is going to be, and how Ruth will navigate her fear of the โBlue-Eyed Man.โ I also felt like NYC as a setting came alive; it was the perfect place to have characters blend in. The whole story reminded me a lot of Alex Finlayโs writing - itโs cinematic, adrenaline filled, and has some really solid twists.
Kill For Me, Kill For You is a story of justice, fear, mourning, and helplessness. It would make for an excellent film; if you love suspenseful thrill rides, this book is for you. Iโll be on the lookout for more of Cavanaghโs writing in the future. Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the ARC!

This was intense and heart pounding right from chapter 1 and so full of plot twists that I devoured it in one day!

"It's a weird thing justice, it feels personal... something I should have as a right."
In the WTF did I just read/listen to, Kill For Me, Kill For You by scheming, crafty, kind of scary, master of thrillers Steve Cavanagh, the theme of justice and what it means is prevalent throughout its heart pounding psychological thriller conclusion.
Amanda and Wendy meet at a NYC grief support group. Amanda's daughter was killed by a child predator who escapes prosecution. Wendy's story is similar also ending with no justice for her murdered daughter. So they make a pact, Wendy will kill the man who destroyed Amanda's life, while Amanda has a solid alibi, and Amanda will do the same for her. Their form of vigilante justice. Here ends any similarity to the film Strangers on a Train.
In between Amanda and Wendy we meet Ruth and Scott. Alone one night, hearing breaking glass, Ruth sneaks downstairs and through a broken glass pane sees piercing blue eyes and, before she can even scream, a cloth with a chemical smell is over her face and a sinister voice whispers in her ear, "Hello there sweetheart."
How Amanda, Wendy and Ruth connect is beyond the phrase plot twist. They have a common friend in the "Patron saint of hopeless cases," Detective Farrow, a truly good man. I was floored not just reading this writer's perfectly crafted twisty storytelling but in listening to voice actress Stephanie Cannon become these desperate grieving women and then send chills down my spine as a killer.
This thriller reminds me of the final twists in Sixth Sense and The Usual Suspects; mind blown jaw dropped shock, in awe of the masterful creativity. Forget any details, go in blind and just enjoy the rollercoaster turns. Do it for me. I'd do it for you
I received a free copy of this book/audiobook from the publishers via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Such a twisty thriller. I didnโt seen any of them coming!! This was a quick read and I definitely recommend!

The first chapter grabbed me by the throat and I was HOOKED. This was an insanely wild and twisty ride. This plot is such a breathe of fresh air and brilliantly written.
The reveals and surprises in this book... some I saw coming, others it hit me right in the forehead, and others that were crazy out there. I was entertained for the entire book. Cavanagh leaves you wanting more after each word hits those pages!

There are good thrillers, and then there are epic thrillers, the kind where you can't stop flipping pages because you absolutely MUST KNOW. That is Kill for Me, Kill for You. Steve Cavanagh takes one of my favorite class movies, Strangers on a Train, adds an extra special twist, and I am now 100 percent up for a remake. If you think you know where this book is going, I'm willing to bet you're wrong, just like I was, and I loved every single second of it.

This book will pull you in right from the beginning and you will not want to put it down until you have finished reading it. This book is full of suspense, and you will be thinking about it for weeks after reading it. The author has a great way to tell the story and keep you fully engaged the whole time. At times it felt familiar but in a good way and then you would go for a full speed roller coaster ride. if you love thrillers, you need to pick this book up ASAP. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

What a thrill ride of emotions! Better put this one at the top of your TBR list all you crime thriller junkies like me!
Kill for Me, Kill for You follows multiple characters point of views (my absolute favorite kind). We meet Amanda who has recently lost her young daughter and her husband shortly after. Amanda has befriended the detective working the case and he forces Amanda to go to a group support class as she has started stalking her daughter's murderer who has been let go. There Amanda meets Wendy, somebody who finally understands what she is going through. In the meantime you also meet Rachel who has just went through a violent attack. Her husband Scott also is reeling and trying to help his wife as much as he can.
The way these people's lives intersect is going to blow your thriller mind. I was open mouth staring at the book at the end. My emotions were all over the place with this one. It very much makes you think about human's capabilities and what you would do in certain situations. It was so very well done. A top thriller for me! I can't wait to talk to everyone about this book! Just when I thought I was on the right track I wasn't and also some things I caught but then it turned out different then I thought. This novel is so brilliantly plotted and well thought out storytelling. It grips you and never lets go until the very last sentence. The question at the end of the day is perfect would you kill for them and they kill for you? This story hits you right between the blue eye's literally. Read it to find out what I am talking about.
I want to thank Atria Marketing and Simon and Schuster and Netgalley for the widget.
Steve Cavanagh will be added to my next favorite author list! A huge congratulations on a excellent thriller that was unputdownable. I read in 3 hours.

WOW! This book was so good and I binged it in one afternoon! Once I started, I could not stop. Kill For Me, Kill For You gives Strangers On A Train vibes and I loved it! There were so many good twists and turns and I loved how there were multiple POVs, which I feel made this story so dynamic.
When Amanda and Wendy meet by chance, they discover they have a lot in common. After talking over drinks, they come up with a plan to get revenge on the men who destroyed their lives. At the same time, Ruth is attacked by a man with blue eyes who disappears after the encounter. With the blue-eyed stranger still out there, will she ever feel safe again?

MUST READ
If you are looking for your next binge in one sitting book, this is for you.ย If you are looking for a book that accidentally keeps you up until 3am because you just can't stop, this is for you.ย If you want a book where you FINALLY do not guess the ending of, THIS IS FOR YOU!
Not going to lie, the story line has me questioning the authorโs inner thoughts/sanity, but I think that just makes it all the better.ย It is such a unique story that had me on my toes begging for more the entire time.ย An absolute must read.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Atria Books for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.ย All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this thriller! I loved the twist on the โStrangers on a Trainโ concept, the multiple POVs and the way the stories were told. However, I did feel like it was a bit slower than Iโd like with longer chapters, and it took me a bit to get into. I was able to guess one of the twists but I didnโt see the final twist coming! Overall, I definitely recommend and Iโm excited to read more by Steve Cavanagh!
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Summary; One dark evening on New York Cityโs Upper West Side, two strangers meet by chance. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realize they have much in common, especially loneliness and an intense desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families. As they talk into the night, they come up with the perfect plan: if you kill for me, Iโll kill for you.
In another part of the city, Ruth is home alone when the beautiful brownstone she shares with her husband, Scott, is invaded. Sheโs attacked by a man with piercing blue eyes, who disappears into the night. Will she ever be able to feel safe again while the blue-eyed stranger is out there?

My thoughts: happy pub day to this fantastic book! It was SO action packed and I just devoured it in a weekend. Totally unique and an absolutely wild ride. Truly canโt recommend this one enough, thank you so much @atriabooks and @atriathrillers ! This one is worthy of all the hype!

Amanda and Wendy meet in a grief support group and then that night over drinks. As the night goes on the two go into the details of the murdered loved ones both have dealt with and the heavy weight of the murderer going free. By the end of the night the two agree to swap murders- what could go wrong?!
I really liked this book! It took inspiration for Strangers on a Train, but had so many twists of its own it did not feel a copy. It is tough to go into detail without giving too much away, but overall I thought the twists were great and I loved the pacing of the story. I love alternating POVs and it was great to try to guess how the stories were going to intertwine. Some of the twists felt a little predictable, but I loved how they played out so I did not mind at all. There was one twist I thought felt too forced, but otherwise I enjoyed the story!
Thank you NetGalley for an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was an awesome thriller! It had me hooked from the first chapter. Loved the writing style, and the multiple point of views. I honestly didn't know how all the storylines were connected, and didn't see any of the twists coming, which makes for a great time reading! Will def be recommending this to others.

Wow, what did I just read?! From start ton finish I thought I was smart enough to figure out what was going on and could piece the stories together.
I could not.
The last, dunno, twenty minutes of the book, I kept gasping. Until the very last page. This was so well done. So strangers on a train with a delightful twist.
I had to sit and explain the whole plot to my husband after I finished and my flabbergasted is STILL gasted.

Another great read from Steve Cavanagh! Loved the books plot and it was full of twist and turns!
Very face faced and an easy read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Hitchcockโs Strangers on a Train and book itโs based on (written by marvelous Patricia Highsmith) are both my absolute favorites and Iโm automatically intrigued by books that use that storytelling tool! Steve Cavanagh took that idea and turned it into something different and intriguing. Considering the amount of thrillers I consume, it is extremely rare that I have no idea which direction the story is heading and on top of that get a few surprises handed to me!
This story was very different to most thrillers I read. I anticipate remembering this plot for quite a while. Some heavy topics, anxiety inducing action scenes, and lots of entertaining twists and turns. I highly recommend this one if you like suspenseful, twisty, dark thrillers!
๐ Multiple POV
๐ Part police procedural
๐ Grief and loss

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for gifting me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Kill For Me, Kill For You
By: Steve Cavanagh
A very twisty psychological thriller that will have you on edge right to the last page! Just when you think you have people figured out, you get a curve ball.
The plot for this book is the epic โStrangers on a Trainโ. Wendy and Amanda are strangers. When they meet, they each agree to kill men who have shattered their lives. The characters are believable. You feel sympathy for them and the trauma that has wrecked their lives. Just when you think you know what is going on, the author flips the narrative. This is a well written story, with well developed characters. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This story gripped me from the very first chapter! A five star thriller that was twisty but believable and felt fresh and unique to this genre! I recommend this to everyone who calls themselves a thriller lover or wants a book that will keep you staying up late turning the pages!
